Abstract

Business contracts are the basic framework used by economic actors, especially in the world of trade, namely to maintain relations between business actors, as well as a form of business dispute resolution. Therefore, in making agreements and resolving disputes, it must be based on legal provisions regulated in book III of the Civil Code. The purpose of writing this scientific article is to find out the role of contracts so that they can be used as a basic framework and legal protection in business activities. The research method used in this study is normative juridical and uses a statutory and historical approach. In writing this article, it is explained that data analysis is data modeling with the aim of finding useful information, informing conclusions and supporting decision making. The results of this study are contract law protection which is based on the principle of pacta sunt servanda. In a cooperation agreement, a business contract is needed, namely to ensure that the agreed agreement can run smoothly.

Abstract

There was a demonstration of workers refusing to increase fuel prices in the Arjuna Wijaya Horse Statue Area, Central Jakarta, on October 10, 2022. This situation also closed the Medan Merdeka Barat Road. The author is interested in documenting labour demonstrations using journalistic photography. It is one of the communication media that combines verbal and visual elements. Verbal elements in the form of words called caption, and visual elements aims to complete the information of an image. The reason is that a photo without a caption can lose the meaning. Technical of taking picture used the EDFAT method to add variety to the composition of each photo and help to determine the important things that need to be captured. This study aims to document the situation of labour demonstrations using the EDFAT method in journalistic photography, which provides factual information about an incident. The research method used by the author is observation and literature study. Observations was carried out by observing journalistic photographs created by Henri Cartier-Bresson and M Risyal Hidayat. Literature study was conducted by reading journals and books about photojournalism. The results of the study involved the work of photo documentation about labour demonstration using the EDFAT method and the decisive moment theory in capturing the decisive moment with accuracy, reading the situation, and setting the composition. This study concludes that the use of the EDFAT method is quite useful for photojournalism shooting because it helps photographers to capture important things, for example, the entire that includes the whole place.

Abstract

Sejarah perkembangan kopi di Indonesia dapat dimulai sejak abad ke 16 pada tahun 1696, India mengirimkan bibit kopi Yaman atau Arabika kepada gubernur Belanda yang memerintah Indonesia agar dapat dikembangkan di india, khususnya di Batavia. Produksi awal Nescafe di mulai pada tahun 1930, Ketika pemerintah Brazil pertama kali mendekati Nestle Company. Terdapat salah satu foto ilustrasi dengan produk Nescafe yang menggambarkan semangat remaja saat beraktivitas. Tujuan penulis untuk memvisualisasikan semangat beraktivitas saat mengkonsumsi Nescafe caramel macchiato. Metode berkarya yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data yaitu data sekunder yang dilakukan melalui data pustaka yang terdapat dari karya tulis ilmiah berupa jurnal yang sudah ada sebelumnya dan referensi foto dari Creative Photography. Penulis akan membuat karya fotografi ilustrasi sebagai media melalui Nescafe caramel macchiato dengan konsep visualisasi gaya hidup remaja yang secara detail memperlihatkan ekspresi dan pose yang sesuai dengan konsep semangat bersama Nescafe yang menggunakan teknik pencahayaan high key yang memiliki cahaya terang dan memberikan kesan warna cerah dengan latar yang berbeda, model dengan pakaian yang berbeda dan properti dengan sesuai konsep. Berdasarkan pengamatan tersebut, memberikan sebuah kesimpulan bahwa dengan menerapkan teknik foto ilustrasi pada Nescafe caramel macchiato dapat memberikan pesan yang ingin disampaikan pada foto.

Abstract

Campaign Still Life Photography #oceanforlife: The Negative Impact of Plastic Waste on Marine Animals. Indonesia ranks as the second-largest contributor of plastic waste into the ocean, which poses a serious threat to marine life. Plastic contaminated with microorganisms from the plastisphere is often misinterpreted as food by marine animals, endangering the ecosystem. This research aims to raise public awareness about the importance of keeping the ocean clean and protecting marine animals. The author employs a still life photography approach in this campaign to illustrate the negative impacts of plastic waste. A practice-based research method is chosen, where the creative process of photographing and selecting props serves as the primary tools for conveying the message. The result is a collection of five still life photographs that effectively communicate the campaign's message. Still life photography proves to be a powerful visual approach for voicing environmental issues without the need for direct interaction with the ocean

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the sustainability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) in Tanjung Duren Village, Grogol District, West Jakarta. Due to the pandemic, several MSMEs suffered losses and were forced to close their businesses. After the pandemic, MSMEs activists began to improve themselves and adjust market developments. One of the strategies to attract market interest is rebranding with an attractive appearance through logos and packaging of MSMEs products. This condition became a concern for the community service team, Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD) Universitas Trisakti, so they provided training on creating logos with the Canva application and packaging design. This training aims to help MSME players rebrand through attractive logos and packaging so that the products sold become the community's choice. This PkM activity applies a mentoring method with a PAR (Participatory Action Research) approach that actively involves participants in implementing activities. A total of 10 (ten) food and beverage MSMEs players, all women, attended the training held on Friday, May 03, 2024, at the RW 007 secretariat office, Tanjung Duren Utara Village, West Jakarta. Through this training, the participants, who are MSME players, gained knowledge in designing attractive logos and product packaging so that they are expected to increase their product sales.

Abstract

Orangutans are native to Indonesia that must be preserved because they are on the verge of extinction. One of the non-profit organizations, World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) which involves outside parties with orangutans through campaign using photo media. This study aims to determine the effect of photos of wild orangutans in the WWF advertisement on students' awareness of conserving endangered species. This research uses an approach to study orangutan wildlife photos which are used as WWF advertisement media and use questionnaires for data collection. The results of this study indicate that the quality of orangutan wildlife photos that meet the rules of wildlife photography can convey information and messages effectively according to the WWF advertisement. WWF's advertisement photos can have a positive influence on respondents, which in the end can make them aware to participate in conserving the endangered orangutan.

Abstract

Foto produk adalah genre fotografi yang bertujuan untuk menjual dan menarik perhatian para-audience yang melihat foto tersebut, berkembang dengan sosial media pada saat ini yang sudah menjadi bagian dari gaya hidup masyarakat. Sosial media merupakan sebuah alat yang memudahkan masyarakat untuk mengakses informasi dan berkomunikasi.Fungsi Instagram memberikan layanan untuk mengunggah foto atau video yang dibagikan ke sesama pengguna.Spotless merupakan salah satu bisnis yang memanfaatkan sosial media sebagai bentuk promosi barang yang ditawarkan. Spotless adalah sebuah brand yang berfokus menjual barang perawatan sepatu. Salah satu bentuk promosi yang dilakukan oleh Spotless adalah menggunakan foto produk. Foto produk yang diunggah oleh Spotless tidak menvisualkan informasi dari produk yang difoto dan tidak berkonsep. Oleh karena itu, penulis akan mengangkat foto produk Spotless dengan konsep menvisualkan informasi dari produk yang menunjukan mudah, aman dan nyaman yang pada akhirnya akan di unggah ke Instagram @spotless_id sebagai bentuk promosi. Metode penelitaan yang digunakan adalah observasi beserta wawancara dan studi literatur. Tujuan penelitian untuk mempromosikan produk Spotless sehingga dapat menjual atau menarik perhatian audience. Dari hasil penelitian ini, bahwa foto produk harus menyampaikan informasi produk yang difoto,dan menarik secara konsep serta visual, sehingga pada akhirnya audience akan tertarik dan mengetahui informasi terkait produk yang difoto.

Abstract

The capital city of Jakarta is a place with its own allure, offering a variety of attractions and serving as the center for all sectors. This significant appeal has made Jakarta a focal point for urbanization. Urbanization, which has been increasing year by year, has become a challenge for Jakarta, resulting, among other things, in the emergence of slum settlements. One such slum settlement exists in Pejompongan, Bendungan Hilir, Central Jakarta. The activities and daily lives of residents in this slum settlement are intriguing and will be the subject of a photographic project.The purpose of this research is to explore the activities and daily lives of urban residents in the slum settlement of Pejompongan, Bendungan Hilir, Central Jakarta, which will be depicted through urban photography. The method employed in this research is practice-led research, specifically creating new works, particularly urban photography, through practical investigation. Urban photography is utilized in this artistic creation to portray the lives of Jakarta's urban residents, particularly the activities and daily routines of those living in the slum settlement, amidst their challenges for survival.

Abstract

Penelitian dan penciptaan karya ini dilatarbelakangi terbatasnya brand lokal yang memproduksi lingerie yang digunakan sebagai sleepwear. seperti brand BER.CIN.TA. Brand ini masih belum banyak dikenal oleh masyarakat luas, sehingga dibutuhkan pendekatan promosi yang lebih modern dan relevan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menciptakan sepuluh karya foto fashion sebagai media promosi Instagram dengan pendekatan fotografi fashion komersial dan mengusung konsep honeymoon vacation agar dapat menarik minat pasar pasangan urban kelas menengah ke atas. Metode yang digunakan adalah practice-based research, dengan melakukan riset mengenai sleepwear dan penerapan pengalaman membuat foto fashion. Dalam proses penciptaan, penulis menciptakan 10 karya foto fashion yang menggambarkan momen-momen intim dan romantis dari pasangan selama melakukan honeymoon di villa modern dengan menggunakan produk sleepwear brand BER.CIN.TA. Manfaat dari penelitian ini yaitu dapat meningkatkan brand awareness pada brand BER.CIN.TA. Hasil karya ini diharapkan mampu memperluas pangsa pasar brand BER.CIN.TA dan menunjukkan bahwa sleepwear lokal dapat tampil modern, intim, dan bernilai estetika tinggi melalui pendekatan visual yang kuat dan relevan.

Abstract

PkM Mono Semester Even Year. Academic 2022-2023 with the title Transformation of the Betawi Ondel-ondel and Gigi Balang Icons with Quilt Application Techniques was held on Saturday 18 March 2023 with Participating Partners of the Tarakanita IV Women Alumni Community –Jakarta who are entering retirement age. This activity utilizes patchwork waste to be reused into new products by elevating the local wisdom of the Betawi Icons, namely 'Ondel-ondel' and 'Gigi Balang' in decorative forms with the 'Quilt' art technique. This activity is an alternative to preserving Betawi Icons in other forms and media, namely: the application of decorative shapes, colors and symbolic meanings of Betawi Icons with Quilting Techniques. It is hoped that the results of this activity can fill free time for participating partners and as a useful social activity and can become a source of income later for participating partners. The purpose of this activity is also an extension of the Government's hand, especially the Regional Government of DKI Jakarta in improving the creative economy of participants which also makes it possible to form MSMEs. The output of mono Community Service (PkM) activities is in the form of HAKI Posters and Journal Publications.
