Abstract

One of great potential area in the fisheries sector in West Java province is Indramayu District. Percentage of fisheries production which accounts for 60% of the needs of the fishery. Indramayu community, especially the northern coastal areas of Indramayu district of livelihood relies heavily on the this sector. During this process the dried fish production still relies on the natural conditions of the solar thermal. So that when the rainy season the fishermen feel a loss, because of natural heating hampered and finally ignored orders from customers due to the  and declining fish quality, so prices soaring sales doubled. Hence, the need for attention to improving the quality of production of dry fish processing, is one of the way by utilizing the split Air Conditioning (AC) as a heating dehumidifier for drying fish. This equipment is modified by utilizing the waste heat from the condenser as reheat is then added to the electric heater is controlled according to the needs drying, and after that it was blown with using  fan/blower to the drying chamber containing the fish on the shelves are arranged. The results obtained can be analyzed on the performance, drying temperature and relative humidity (RH) or water content is as expected.

Abstract

Sebuah prototipe didesain untuk mendinginkan dan kemudian sekaligus mengeringkan atau disebut dehumidifier. Alat ini menggunakan termoelektrik sebagai komponen utama dalam dehumidifikasi. Hal ini mengingat alatnya relatif murah dengan daya yang kecil, portable, dan ramah lingkungan karena tanpa menggunakan refrigeran sebagai fluida kerja. Penelitian ini dibuat atas dasar permasalahan gudang penyimpan benih sayuran, dimana kelembaban belum dapat dikontrol dengan baik. Pengontrolan kelembaban sangat berpengaruh dalam memperpanjang umur tumbuh benih, sehingga para petani dapat menyimpan benihnya dalam waktu lama. Untuk benih sayuran dibutuhkan keadaan ruangan yang relatif dingin sekitar 20 oC dan kelembaban relatif (RH) berkisar 45% - 50%. Umumnya peralatan menggunakan refrigeran atau desiccant untuk proses dehumidifikasi penyimpan benih, sedangkan penggunaan termoelektrik belum pernah diaplikasikan pada gudang penyimpan benih sayuran.Alat ini bekerja dengan 2 tahap. Dimana udara lingkungan masuk melalui tahap 1 yang merupakan proses pendinginan yang disebarkan oleh heat sink dari pendinginan Peltier sehingga terjadi penurunan temperatur kemudian dengan adanya plat pengarah udara dingin dialirkan menuju tahap 2 yang merupakan proses pemanasan (kebalikan efek Peltier) dimana pada tahap ini udara dingin dikeringkan melalui heat sink sehingga terjadi penurunan kelembaban. Mengalirnya udara kering keluar system dibantu oleh fan axial. Dari kinerja system ini diharapkan terjadi proses dehumidifikasi yang diharapkan.

Abstract

In generally cooling hydronic system applied to large-scale commercial or industrial use, where water cooling is processed through heat transfer mechanism in the evaporator pipe using a vapour compression system such as a chiller with refrigerant. The research idea is based on not available practice test of cooling hydronic system at the Department of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering at State Polytechnic of Indramayu which is the main competency in the course of Air Conditioning Applied. As teh utilization practice made cooling hydronic system by utilizing a vapour compression system that is split AC using refrijeran R32 is environmentally friendly. The split AC system modifies its evaporator coil into a heat exchange medium to cool water in the water tank. The cold water is then distributed in the piping installation system with the two pumps that are varied in series and parallel. From this process, it is necessary to know the working capability of the pumps in terms of its characteristics (head and capacity) or its performance, including energy losses and cooling capacity system. The results obtained are analyzed and the calculation is in accordance with theoretically known study.

Abstract

This study explains the comparative analysis of performance in the thermal pasteurization system of the ohmic heating method with the electric heater in mango puree. The goal is to find out which thermal pasteurization method is better and more efficient. The method used for this study is to compare the two thermal pasteurization methods from the performance obtained, heating time, electrical power and electricity consumption costs. In the pasteurization process, the product is heated not exceeding 70 oC in the ohmic tube with an electric current on an electrode with a thickness of 4 mm attached to the end of the ohmic tube, while pasteurization of the product electric heater is heated in a double jacket tube equipped with an electric heater. The results of the analysis were obtained for the ohmic heating method the efficiency value was 78%, while for the method with an electric heater the efficiency value was 4%, the heating time of the ohmic heating method is 555 seconds, while the heating time of the electric heater method is 1500 seconds, for electric power in the ohmic heating method is 224.59 watts, while in the electric heater method an electric power of 1730.2 watts is obtained, and the cost of electricity consumption of the ohmic heating method is Rp.1,498.33,-/month, while the electric heater method costs electricity consumption of Rp.31,407.26,-/month.

Abstract

Salah satu penyebab kematian bayi dikarenakan bayi berat lahir rendah (BBLR), kondisi ini banyak dialami oleh bayi prematur, dimana kondisi prematur menyebabkan hipotermia. Untuk itu bayi prematur harus segera mendapatkan perawatan inkubator. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pemanfaatan baterai darurat pada inkubator bayi, sehingga kondisi suhu bayi dalam inkubator tetap terjaga terutama disaat terjadi pemadaman listrik dari PLN. Metode yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini dengan pengujian pada berbagai variasi beban lampu pemanas pada inkubator terhadap baterai darurat yang digunakan. Untuk kapasitas baterai yang digunakan sebesar 9 Ah, 12 volt. Hasil pengujian yang didapat menunjukkan untuk variasi beban lampu pemanas 25 W, lampu dapat beroperasi selama 205 menit (3 jam 42 menit). Sedangkan pada variasi beban lampu 50 W, lampu beroperasi selama 140 menit (2 jam 33 menit).

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dalam bidang elektronika semakin tahun semakin pesat pada era revolusi industri 4.0. Elektronika membahas cara-cara penggunaan elektron untuk melakukan hal-hal yang bermanfaat dan menarik. Elektronika membawa perubahan besar di dalam hidup kita semua. Elektronika merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran di SMK (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan). Metode Politeknik Negeri Indramayu pembelajaran di SMK lebih banyak praktikum dari pada teori. Hal ini menuntut siswa lebih mengeksplor kemampuan dan kompetensi.  Salah satu Jurusan di SMK Negeri 1 Sindang Indramayu yaitu program keahlian elektronika. Salah satu mata pelajarannya adalah Elektronika Dasar. Di tempat tersebut, trainer elektronika yang dapat digunakan untuk media pembelajaran siswa masih terbatas. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah mengimplementasikan implementasi trainer elektronika dasar sebagai media pembelajaran program keahlian teknik elektronika. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu dimulai dari perancangan, pembuatan alat, pengujian alat.dan implementasi kepada mitra. Trainer yang dibuat terdiri dari trainer elektronika dasar analog dan digital. Trainer analog terdiri dari komponen pasif dan aktif, sedangkan trainer dasar digital terdiri dari IC gerbang logika. Mitra kegiatan adalah siswa SMK Negeri 1 Sindang Indramayu. Dari hasil implementasi kegiatan, siswa telah memahami lebih mudah proses kerja trainer elektronika dasar tersebut. Melalui implementasi trainer ini sangat membantu siswa dan guru dalam pelajaran elektronika.

Abstract

Project Based Learning is really needed in vocational schools, because education in vocational schools emphasizes the skills aspect rather than the knowledge aspect. So that this learning can be better understood by students, it is necessary to create a trainer or simulator to practice the theory that has been obtained. Based on a survey that has been conducted, the service partner, namely SMK Yapin Kertasemaya, has a Business and Motorcycle Engineering Study Program, but does not yet have a motorbike trainer. Therefore, this service will collaborate with partners, namely SMK Yapin Kertasemaya, to create motorbike trainers. Because the motorbike system is quite complex, the trainers made are limited to electrical trainers only. The trainer was made in the Instrumentation and Control Laboratory at the Indramayu State Polytechnic with the assistance of laboratory assistants and several students. So that the trainer created can function well, the trainer will also be tested and evaluated by expert lecturers from Mechanical Engineering. Based on the design that has been carried out, the results obtained are that all trainer components can function well and can be tested on vocational school students. After the trainer was tested on vocational school students, the team gave a questionnaire to the teachers and the results showed that the trainer made was very good and really helped the learning activities of vocational school students, but the quantity needed to be increased further in order to accommodate all students' practical activities.

Abstract

There are many processed mangoes, one of which is processed into mango pure. Pure is mango fruit pulp which is processed through pasteurization technology or a cooking process by heating it to a high temperature reaching 70-80 oC. A tool is needed to cool the pure and at the same time store it in one place. The aim of this community service program is to increase partner empowerment and increase the types of processed mango products. The methods in this program are observation, identifying partner problems, making tools, testing, and assisting in using the tools. This activity was successfully carried out as seen from the tool's ability to reduce the pure temperature from 70 oC to 25 oC in 4 hours 30 minutes

Abstract

This study examines the performance of a thermal management system for 18650 lithium-ion batteries using a circular placement configuration and a forward-curved fan. Experiments were conducted with variations in fan speed, the number of fan blades, and battery positioning (aligned or zigzag) to observe their effects on temperature and temperature distribution during the battery discharge process. The results showed that increasing fan speed significantly reduced battery temperature to around 30-33°C and improved temperature distribution uniformity with a standard deviation ranging from 0.5 to 1.21°C. Meanwhile, variations in the number of fan blades and battery positioning had an insignificant impact on temperature reduction but did influence temperature distribution uniformity, with the lowest standard deviation of 0.5-0.6°C observed in the three-blade variation. The zigzag positioning provided a more uniform temperature distribution compared to the aligned positioning, with a standard deviation of 0.51-0.97°C
