Abstract

Perkembangan penelitian mengenai komposit plastik biodegradable semakin banyak dilakukan. Penggabungan antara polyethylene jenis LLDPE (Linear Low Density Polyethylene) sebagai matriks yang dipadukan dengan PLA (Polylactic Acid) salah satunya. Perbedaan karakteristik dan sifat antara LLDPE dan PLA menyebabkan campuran tidak kompatibel oleh karena itu compatibilizer diperlukan pada saat pencampuran sehingga keduanya dapat bercampur sempurna. Pada penelitian ini dibahas mengenai pra pembuatan compatibilizer berupa LLDPE-g-MA atau maleic anhydride grafted linear low-density polyethylene. Rekayasa compatibilizer dilakukan beberapa variasi seperti waktu proses, pemurnian compatibilizer (sokhletasi) dan komposisi maleic anhidrat serta benzoil peroksida. Hasil compatibiizer yang terbentuk dianalisa %grafting dan analisa unsur dengan FTIR.

Abstract

A device or machine to move fluid fluids or increase fluid pressure. Centrifugal pump is one of the many types of pumps with different ways of working. Centrifugal pumps work by applying centrifugal force to the impeller to suck liquid. This centrifugal force causes vacuum pressure at the suction/inlet and increases the liquid pressure at the discharge/outlet of a liquid. CFD simulation testing and analysis using SOLIDWORKS software to determine variations in physical values such as pressure, discharge, speed and others when modifying parts of the 3D pump model being tested. The results of the first test obtained the highest discharge and torque values of 4 l/s and 1.08 Nm, the second test the discharge and torque decreased to 2.4 l/s and 0.54 Nm and the suction speed increased to 10.88 m/s. In the 3rd test, the outlet pressure rose to 127000 Pa, the speed rose to 7.6 m/s, the torque decreased by 0.17 Nm, and the discharge decreased to 1.69 l/s.

Abstract

Post-harvest agricultural products are all activities carried out from the process of handling agricultural products to the process that produces semi-finished products. Improper post-harvest handling will result in yield loss, both weight and product quality. Readiness of mature harvest and post-harvest technology will improve the quality of rice and the understanding of farmers and technology users in efforts to reduce crop losses. Bucket elevator is a tool for moving material that can be used to lift grain during the grain milling process, which can help work to move grain from the surface into the milling machine. In the Bucket Elevator test results, the effective rotational speed is 352.5 Rpm using a 1 hp 3 phase motor. The design of model 1 is the optimal bucket for lifting grain, resulting in a net weight of 243 gr/bucket contents with a maximum capacity of 280 gr/bucket. When attached to the Bucket carrier belt with 3 test results with different 1 hp motors get test results 1 = 22.5 kg/m , test 2 = 21.3 kg/m , and test 3 = 22.7 kg/m , with average result– average 22.1 kg/m. The noise test on the Bucket Elevator gets the results of noise intensity at 3 different points with an average value of point 1 (front) = 77.7 dBA, point 2 (side) = 72.0 dBA, and point 3 (top) = 77, 1dBA.

Abstract

The escalating volume of plastic waste has become a critical environmental challenge, highlighting the need for innovative solutions to repurpose it into valuable construction materials. This study aimed to design and develop a pneumatic-based eco-paving block printing machine that uses plastic waste as its primary raw material. The research methodology encompassed the design and simulation of pneumatic circuits, structural analysis involving stress distribution, displacement, and factor of safety (FOS), and strength testing of the fabricated eco-paving blocks. The machine was equipped with a pneumatic cylinder measuring 80 × 75 mm, operating at a pressure of 6 bar and generating a maximum pressing force of 300 kg. The simulation results confirmed that the maximum stress and displacement remained within safe limits, with a minimum FOS of 8.4, thereby ensuring a stable and reliable design. Testing of the eco-paving blocks revealed compressive strengths ranging from 38 to 54 MPa, surpassing the requirements of the SNI 03-0691-1996 standard. This study demonstrates that a pneumatic-based eco-paving block printing machine effectively transforms plastic waste into high-quality construction materials compliant with national standards, offering a practical solution to the plastic waste crisis while promoting sustainability in the construction industry.

Abstract

In Lohbener Village, Indramayu Regency, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) produce tofu using traditional methods, where the soybean pulp filtering process requires significant time and physical effort. To address this issue, a soybean pulp filtering machine was developed to improve filtering efficiency. The machine was tested with three different input loads—5 kg, 10 kg, and 15 kg—at a constant speed of 57 rpm. The filtering times recorded were 3 minutes 10 seconds, 5 minutes 17 seconds, and 8 minutes 21 seconds, respectively, determined by the point at which no more liquid discharged from the system. The final weights of the filtered soybean pulp were 1.5 kg, 5.7 kg, and 7.4 kg, respectively. These weight differences were influenced by an unbalanced soybean-to-water ratio, which affected extraction effectiveness. The average moisture content of the filtered pulp was 18% for the 5 kg load, 14.90% for 10 kg, and 15.17% for 15 kg. These results indicate that the use of the filtering machine significantly improves filtering efficiency compared to manual methods, in terms of time, output, and pulp quality. Overall, the machine has a positive impact on increasing productivity and product quality in tofu production at the SME level.

Abstract

Indramayu is the largest rice barn area in Java, so it contributes waste from the rice production process, but the waste processing process is less productive or there are very few enthusiasts. So there is a very big opportunity by utilizing waste which is more useful, namely by processing it into fish pellets which have a high price value compared to other processing methods. The design of the rice husk grinding machine uses a type 32 disk mill knife and a type 32 fish pellet printer that will print 3 mm pellets with a machine frame dimension of 849 x 597 x 918. The frame of this machine uses 40 x 40 x 1.35 mm hollow iron. The specifications of this fish machine consist of three main components, namely a husk refiner, a pellet dough mixer, and a fish pellet molder driven by a combustion engine with the motor power and speed used, namely a refiner power of 1.82 HP with a speed of 3600 rpm, a mixer power of 1.86 HP with a speed of 771.42 rpm, a molding power of 0.56 HP with a speed of 771.42 rpm. So the total power used for this machine is 5.5 HP or 4.1 kw. So it can be seen that the motor power is 5.5 HP < 7 HP, so a 7 HP drive motor can be used.

Abstract

ABSTRACT – Manual tofu cutting is often time-consuming and less efficient, necessitating innovation to enhance productivity. This study aims to design an automatic tofu cutting machine as a replacement for the manual cutting process. The method used is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) with an experimental approach. The design process involves simulations to determine the machine's technical specifications, resulting in a minimum pneumatic piston diameter of 24 mm, an inertia of 88,281.25, and a maximum stress of 0.24 N/mm². Testing shows that the machine can cut 112 pieces of tofu in 3.8 seconds. These results indicate that the automatic tofu cutting machine significantly improves the efficiency and speed of the cutting process compared to manual methods. This research contributes to the development of more efficient food processing technology applicable to small-scale industries.

Abstract

This study examines the performance of a thermal management system for 18650 lithium-ion batteries using a circular placement configuration and a forward-curved fan. Experiments were conducted with variations in fan speed, the number of fan blades, and battery positioning (aligned or zigzag) to observe their effects on temperature and temperature distribution during the battery discharge process. The results showed that increasing fan speed significantly reduced battery temperature to around 30-33°C and improved temperature distribution uniformity with a standard deviation ranging from 0.5 to 1.21°C. Meanwhile, variations in the number of fan blades and battery positioning had an insignificant impact on temperature reduction but did influence temperature distribution uniformity, with the lowest standard deviation of 0.5-0.6°C observed in the three-blade variation. The zigzag positioning provided a more uniform temperature distribution compared to the aligned positioning, with a standard deviation of 0.51-0.97°C

Abstract

Abstract: The research approach used is quantitative, The data source in this study is secondary data obtained through the results of reports published by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) and trusted websites. Sampling included in non-probability sampling is purposive sampling where the data criteria studied are complete data from 2011 to 2020. Then the data is processed using the eviews 9 application. Based on the data analysis that has been carried out on all the data obtained has the following results; positive and insignificant influence between Road Infrastructure Development and Economic Growth, there is an insignificant negative influence between vaiabel Income Distribution on Economic Growth, there is a positive and significant influence between the ZIS variables on Economic Growth, and simultaneously all three independent variables have a positive and significant influence on Economic Growth.

Abstract

Badan Usaha Milik Desa (Bumdes) Segeran Kec. Juntinyuat Kab. Indramayu memiliki beberapa lini usaha seperti usaha pengolahan jeruk dan bengkel pengelasan. Dalam bidang usaha bengkel pengelasan Bumdes membantu desa dalam pembuatan infrastruktur seperti pembuatan tiang lampu jalan dan penutup saluran selokan. Namun mereka terkendala penekukan besi yang akan digunakan sebagai infrastruktur. Besi yang dijual di pasar masih berbentuk batang. Besi perlu ditekuk agar sesuai dengan desain rancangan infrastruktur yang telah dibuat. Proses penekukan besi di Desa Segeran ini masih manual menggunakan tangan. Hal ini membuat proses produksi menjadi lebih lama. Diperlukan mekanisasi dalam proses penekukan besi agar pekerjaan menjadi lebih cepat. Bar Bending Machine merupakan mesin penekuk besi yang menggunakan konsep rotary bending. Penerapan teknologi ini terbukti dapat mempercepat proses penekukan besi saat digunakan di Bumdes Desa Segeran.
