Abstract

Latar Belakang Masalah : .Tindakan  operasi  atau  pembedahan  merupakan  pengalaman  yang sulit  bagi  hampir  semua  pasien. Hal ini dikarenakan pasien  menunjukkan  sikap yang  berlebihan  seperti kecemasan  yang  pasien alami. Adanya kecemasan dapat meningkatkan persepsi nyeri.Tujuan Penelitian: mengetahui hubungan tingkat kecemasan pra operasi dengan tingkat nyeri pada pasien  operasi dikamar operasi RSM Dr.Yap Yogyakarta.Metode Penelitian: merupakan penelitian observasional (non-eksperimen) deskriptif analitik korelatif. Pemilihan sampel dengan menetapkan subjek yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian, sehingga sampel berjumlah 41 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner sedangkan teknik analisis datanya menggunakan uji Spearman Rank Correlation.Hasil Penelitian: tingkat kecemasan sebagian besar dalam kategori kecemasan ringan sebanyak 22 responden (53,7%). Tingkat nyeri sebagian besar dalam kategori nyeri ringan sebanyak 23 responden (56,1%). Ada hubungan tingkat kecemasan preoperasi dengan tingkat nyeri intraperasi katarak dengan phacoemulsifikasi di kamar operasi RSM Dr. Yap Yogyakarta (Sig 0,000) dan nilai spearman rank hitung sebesar 0,569.Kesimpulan dan Saran: Ada hubungan tingkat kecemasan preoperasi dengan tingkat nyeri intraperasi katarak dengan phacoemulsifikasi di kamar operasi RSM Dr. Yap Yogyakarta. Saran yang diberikan adalah hendaknya pihak rumah sakit dapat mengatasi tingkat kecemasan dan tingkat nyeri pada pasien setelah operasi dengan cara seperti memberikan musik yang menenangkan, memberikan fasilitas yang nyaman dan memberikan pelayanan prima, sehingga tingkat kecemasan dan tingkat nyeri yang dialami pasien dapat berkurang.Kata kunci: kecemasan, nyeri

Abstract

This study was conducted in order to analyze the English formative tests made by the English teacher of grade VIII of SMPN-4 Mentaya Hulu based on the characteristics of a good test. The indicators to be analyzed were validity and reliability of the test. The validity covered the content and construct validity. The writer applied descriptive method in conducting this study. The population and sample of this study was the English teacher-made tests for the grade VIII of SMPN-4 Mentaya Hulu in the first semester of academic year 2008/2009. The writer analyzed 2 English formative tests as the representative of all English formative tests in the first semester of academic year 2008/2009. Based on the result of the data analysis, the writer found that the English formative test conducted on October 2008 belongs to high validity in its content validity and excellent validity in its construct validity. The English formative test conducted on November 2008 belongs to low validity in its content validity and high validity in its construct validity. While the English formative test both conducted on October 2008 and November 2008 are unreliable.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the English National Final Examination for Junior High School. Validity and reliability are the two kinds of characteristics of a good test which are concerned. Since the five packages of the test are the same in content and only different on the placement of the items, so it is considered to take only one package becomes sample. This study was analyzed by using the descriptive method. Content validity was analyzed by comparing the materials in the syllabus to the items of the test, and construct validity was analyzed by comparing the indicators in the syllabus to the items of the test. While the reliability was analyzed by using Kuder-Richardson Formula (KR20). The result of the study shows that the English National Final Examination for Junior High School was valid and reliable. The content validity shows 100% valid, and the construct validity shows 100% valid. While the reliability shows coefficient 0.89, and it is reliable. So, the English National Final Examination for Junior High School has fulfilled the characteristics of a good test.

Abstract

The crucial problem of translating Indonesia to English language are the students’ lack of knowledge and mother tongue (source language) that two of them are grammar and vocabulary. The researcher focused to measure the correlation among grammar mastery and vocabulary size toward translation ability on report text at seventh semester students in State Islamic Institute of Palangka Raya that use quantitative method with a correlational design. The researcher’s instruments were three test which were grammar mastery, vocabulary size, and translation test that were tested to the 32 students’ translation class in academic year 2017/2018. The numerical data were analyzed by Pearson Product Moment that showed that: (1) the most students got “fail” (43.75%) grammar mastery, (2) the most students got “excellent”  (46.875%) vocabulary size, (3) the most students got “enough” (87.5%) translation ability. The significant correlation among three variables were proved by correlation coefficient 0.604 (strong category),  Fchange > Ftable = 8.349 > 3.33, and the contribution of grammar mastery and vocabulary size delivered 36.5%. Thus, it sums that students’ grammar mastery and vocabulary size correlate with the quality of students’ translation ability on report text at seventh semester students in academic year 2017/2018. Keywords:  Grammar Mastery, Vocabulary, Translation

Abstract

In a learning process of learning English, teaching materials are needed to support the learning process such as textbooks. Therefore, this research analysed English speaking material in “Bahasa Inggris” English textbook for twelfth grade of Senior High School Published by Kemendikbud 2018. The research problem of the study were: (1) What types of speaking material are there in “Bahasa Inggris” English textbook?, and (2) How is the content of the material on speaking English textbook for twelfth grades published by Indonesian government?. Therefore, the purposes of this study were: (1) To describe types of speaking material in “Bahasa Inggris” English Textbook., and (2) To identify the contain of material of speaking skills found in English textbook for twelfth graders published by Indonesian government. In carrying out this research, researcher used a qualitative approach with content analysis method. Data collected by carrying out evaluation checklist, interview, and documentation. The main research findings were: (1) The speaking materials contained in “Bahasa Inggris” English textbooks for twelfth graders published by Indonesian governmentcontains material in the form of dialogue, and (2) The speaking material in the book can help students based on the teacher's perspective and evaluation checklists. Keywords:  Speaking Material, Textbook Analysis, English Textbook

Abstract

Online learning has been implemented as a strategic solution many universities during the Covid-19 outbreak. The aimed this research was to found correlation between students learning readiness and students satisfaction .The research employs quantitative research method using correlation design. The population of this research using random sampling was carried out 2nd-8th semester of English Education Study Program at IAIN Palangkaraya in which consist 92 respondents, in order to collected the data, the researcher was used questionnaire and analyzed with Pearson product moment correlation. The result was found that there was a positive and significant relationship between learning readiness and satisfaction with a correlation coefficient of 0.609 at the significance level α = 0.05. Learning readiness on student satisfaction is included in the strong category, which is in the range 0.61-0.80 and has a determination coefficient of 0.37, which means that the variance of satisfaction 37% is determined by the variance of learning readiness. Keywords:  Online learning, Learning Readiness, Satisfaction

Abstract

The prevalence of online gambling among college students is increasing due to its accessibility and the significant influence of the social environment. One important element that can both encourage and discourage people from participating in this activity is peer groups. Previous research has tended to focus on only one aspect of peer group influence, and there aren't many studies that thoroughly address the multiple roles that peers play in students' online gambling decisions. Using Albert Bandura's social learning theory, this study attempts to examine how peer group social dynamics influence college students' online gambling behaviors. Using a qualitative approach, this study conducted in-depth interviews with 28 Islamic university students from different social contexts and observed their online gambling activities. The results showed that students in the peer group who gambled experienced a process of observation, retention, reproduction, and social reinforcement that increased their engagement. In contrast, students in the non-gambling peer group received negative reinforcement and social support to refrain from the behavior. These findings support the importance of peer-based prevention strategies. Therefore, campuses and stakeholders need to strengthen student communities that instill anti-gambling values and provide positive and educational alternative activities.
