Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of home room group guidance techniques in providing education and efforts to prevent bullying in the school environment at SMK Negeri 10 Medan. The method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytic approach, collecting data through interviews with students and teachers, as well as observations in the school environment. The research results show that the home room group guidance technique is effective in increasing students' and teachers' understanding of bullying, as well as helping them develop the ability to overcome bullying. This technique can facilitate in-depth discussion and reflection about various forms of bullying, its impact, and prevention strategies. In addition, home room group guidance also helps build more positive relationships between students, as well as between students and teachers, thereby creating a school environment that is more conducive to preventing bullying. Thus, this research concludes that the home room group guidance technique is an effective strategy for providing education and efforts to prevent bullying in the school environment. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the development of more effective strategies in preventing bullying in schools.

The data obtained will be analyzed using Miles and Huberman analysis techniques. The research results show that the D3P application in terms of components and quality has met the requirements based on expert validation assessments, and while the level of satisfaction with use by students was obtained, a percentage figure of 84% of students rated the D3P application as satisfactory. Then, an assessment by the third party, namely lecturers who were selected to represent a sample of realist ethnographic research designs, obtained 87.33% of the data, and the D3P application was categorized as good for consistently being used by students in detecting their Pancasila student profile.

Abstract

Behavior between fellow students is an increasingly disturbing phenomenon in the school environment. This can have a negative impact on the mental and emotional health of students who are victims. In facing this problem, teachers have an important role in responding to it. Teachers' efforts to address behavior include an educational approach, fostering positive values, creating an inclusive and supportive environment, and providing an understanding of the importance of respecting differences. The type of research used is qualitative, a research model that uses descriptive data in the form of written or spoken language from people and actors who can be observed. This qualitative research is carried out to explain and analyze individual or group phenomena, events, social dynamics, attitudes, beliefs and perceptions. The conclusion is that, with the active role of teachers, it is hoped that the school environment can become a safe and supportive place for all students, without discrimination based on physical appearance.
