Abstract

Pendidikan inklusif di tingkat sekolah dasar bertujuan untuk menyediakan peluang belajar yang setara bagi semua anak, termasuk mereka yang mempunyai kebutuhan khusus. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi berbagai metode yang diterapkan oleh guru dalam mengelola kelas inklusif, dengan penekanan pada pendekatan yang disesuaikan, pembelajaran kolaboratif, dan pemanfaatan teknologi bantu. Meskipun banyak sekolah dasar telah menerapkan pendidikan inklusif, beberapa tantangan utama yang muncul adalah kurangnya pelatihan bagi guru, fasilitas yang tidak memadai, serta kesulitan dalam mengatasi berbagai kebutuhan siswa. Melalui penelitian kualitatif, terungkap bahwa metode seperti pembelajaran terindividualisasi dan kolaborasi antar siswa sangat bermanfaat dalam meningkatkan partisipasi serta hasil akademik. Selain itu, pemanfaatan teknologi bantu memberikan dukungan yang signifikan bagi siswa penyandang disabilitas, yang memungkinkan mereka untuk lebih aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Kolaborasi yang baik antara guru, siswa, dan orang tua juga merupakan faktor penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inklusif. Namun keberhasilan dari strategi-strategi tersebut sangat bergantung pada pelatihan yang berkelanjutan untuk guru serta tersedianya sumber daya yang memadai. Artikel ini merekomendasikan bahwa peningkatan pelatihan profesional dan pengembangan sarana sekolah harus menjadi prioritas untuk memperkuat pelaksanaan pendidikan inklusif di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an in-depth description of the implementation of the reading corner strategy in fostering literacy interest among elementary school students. A reading corner serves as a supporting program of the School Literacy Movement designed to create a literacy-friendly learning environment. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving a classroom teacher and fourth-grade students as research subjects. Data were collected through observations of students’ reading activities in the reading corner, interviews with the teacher, and documentation of reading logs and book inventories. The data were analyzed using the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study reveal that a creatively managed and consistently operated reading corner can enhance students’ literacy interest by providing diverse reading materials, a comfortable reading atmosphere, and active teacher involvement as a literacy facilitator. Furthermore, the reading corner encourages independent reading habits and improves students’ motivation to comprehend texts. This research confirms that the reading corner strategy is effective in developing school literacy culture when supported by adequate facilities and continuous teacher guidance. Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of literacy-based learning strategies to improve reading comprehension skills of third-grade students in elementary school. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The participants involved the third-grade teacher and students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of literacy-based learning strategies was carried out through pre-reading activities, the use of various text media, and teacher guidance in understanding reading content. The strategy has shown improvements in students’ interest in reading, their ability to answer text-based questions, and their confidence in expressing ideas related to reading materials. Therefore, literacy-based learning strategies can effectively improve elementary students’ reading comprehension skills. Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers’ strategies in integrating character values into Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning in elementary schools. This research applies a qualitative descriptive approach with classroom teachers and students as the main participants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that teachers apply various strategies to integrate character values, including modeling, habituation, contextual discussions, and project-based activities that foster environmental awareness and cooperation. IPAS learning not only focuses on cognitive understanding but also builds students’ social sensitivity, responsibility, and curiosity toward their surroundings. Despite several challenges, character integration in IPAS effectively shapes students to become knowledgeable, ethical, and socially responsible individuals.
