Abstract

Adolescents are particularly vulnerable to the problem of the triad of adolescent reproductive health that includes sexuality, HIV/AIDS and drugs. Lack of knowledge among adolescents is one of the causes of risky behavior on reproductive health. Health education through peer teaching method and jigsaw method can improve knowledge and prevent adolescent reproductive health problems. The purpose of this research is to analyze the differences between the effects of peer teaching method with jigsaw method toward the level knowledge of reproductive health students SMPN 1 Cilegon. The research design is quasi-experiment with non equivalent control group. The research sample consisted of 42 respondents to the peer teaching group and 42 respondents to the jigsaw group which is chosen by stratified random sampling. The results of the analysis of statistical tests using t-dependent test shows that there is significant influence after being given health education with p value 0.001 (p less than 0.05) and the results t-independent test obtained p value 0.021 (p less than 0.05), which shows the differences in effect between peer teaching method with jigsaw method toward the level knowledge of reproductive health students SMPN 1 Cilegon. The suggestion of this research is to use the jigsaw method as an alternative method in providing adolescent reproductive health education.

Abstract

Sanitation as an indirect risk factor for stunting needs to be considered because it plays a role in influencing and minimizing the deterioration of health status due to the main factors that cause stunting: nutritional deficiencies and infectious diseases is needed. Good sanitation can be realized by implementing the STBM program according to government recommendations. This study aims to see the relationship between the implementation of STBM and the incidence of stunting in toddlers. This study uses a correlational descriptive research design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample was selected using a total sampling technique of 96 parents who have children under five in Sukamulya Village. Data analysis used the chi-square correlation test. The results showed there was no relationship between the implementation of Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) and the incidence of stunting in toddlers. Whether the implementation of STBM is good or bad does not affect the incidence of stunting in toddlers. The stunting incident found in Sukamulya Village, Rancaekek District, Bandung Regency is included in the stunting event group that is not affected by the STBM implementation

Abstract

This study aims to explore barriers to family-centered care (FCC) in the pediatric care area. The method used is a systematic review with literature searches from several online databases. The results showed that parents' perceived knowledge regarding FCC, namely the primary nurse-caregiver relationship, ward structure/policies, knowledge, ethical issues, limited health service resources, limited time in providing services, the nature of chronic disease, medical paternalism and professional mindset influenced FCC implementation. In conclusion, these findings provide strong evidence for understanding what is most important to nurses and the barriers to family-centered care (FCC) in the pediatric care area.
