Abstract

To enhance students' critical thinking skills in learning the Indonesian language, this study developed an e-learning module based on the ADDIE model. Utilizing Google Classroom, the program was made interactive through discussion boards, HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) exercises, and digital resources. The results showed a significant increase in debate participation (from 30% to 75%) as well as improvements in analytical (from 65% to 88%), evaluative (from 50% to 82%), and argumentative (from 55% to 80%) skills. These findings align with constructivist theory, which views technology as a catalyst for active learning. With the provision of infrastructure and training, limitations such as teacher readiness and access to technology can be addressed. The study recommends developing similar modules for other subjects, incorporating advanced elements such as gamification.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi teknologi dan keterampilan praktik mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Komputer melalui pelatihan penerapan Internet of Things (IoT) berbasis mikrokontroler. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan edukatif, partisipatif, dan praktik berbasis proyek yang melibatkan 30 mahasiswa. Materi pelatihan meliputi konsep dasar IoT, konfigurasi mikrokontroler ESP32, integrasi sensor dan aktuator, pemrograman menggunakan Arduino IDE, komunikasi nirkabel, pemantauan data real-time, dan pengujian dashboard sederhana. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, pre-test dan post-test, tugas praktik, respon peserta, serta dokumentasi kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan praktik mahasiswa. Rata-rata nilai peserta meningkat dari 54,2 pada pre-test menjadi 86,1 pada post-test dengan persentase peningkatan sebesar 31,9%. Mahasiswa menjadi lebih mampu menjelaskan arsitektur IoT, merangkai rangkaian dasar, membaca data sensor, mengunggah program ke mikrokontroler, dan menampilkan hasil monitoring melalui dashboard web sederhana. Secara keseluruhan, pelatihan ini efektif dalam memperkuat literasi IoT, berpikir komputasional, dan kompetensi praktik mahasiswa. Kegiatan ini juga menegaskan bahwa praktik IoT berbasis mikrokontroler relevan digunakan sebagai strategi pembelajaran kontekstual untuk menyiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi perkembangan teknologi industri digital.

Abstract

Advances in digital technology in the field of education call for innovations in learning media that align with the characteristics of Generation Z, who tend to be drawn to visual and interactive digital media. Selecting the right learning methods and media plays a crucial role in supporting the learning process. Based on observations at SMK Negeri 1 Ujungbatu, the Computer Science curriculum still relies on limited learning media, making it necessary to develop more engaging and accessible digital-based learning media. This study aims to develop flipbook-based learning media for the Computer Science subject, specifically on computer hardware material, for 10th-grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Ujungbatu. The method used in this study is the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) with the Luther–Sutopo approach, which consists of six stages: concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. The resulting product is a flipbook-based e-module equipped with text, images, instructional videos, practice questions, and simple digital navigation. The media was tested through validation by subject matter experts, media experts, and Computer Science teachers. The validation results showed a percentage of 92.5% from subject matter experts, 87.5% from media experts, and 90% from subject teachers, all categorized as highly valid. Based on the research findings, the flipbook-based learning material developed was found to be highly valid and can be used as a supplementary learning resource for computer science at SMK Negeri 1 Ujungbatu.

Abstract

Abstract: One of the strategic efforts in preparing professional teachers is through the implementation of learning programs that focus on teaching practice skills, such as microteaching and School Field Practice (PraktikLapanganPersekolahan or PLP). This study aims to determine the extent of the relationship between students' learning outcomes in the Microteaching course and their teaching ability during PLP at the Information Technology Education Study Program, Faculty of Education, Universitas Rokania. This research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. Data were obtained through documentation of final grades in the Microteaching course and observations of students’ teaching performance during PLP. The results of the Pearson correlation analysis revealed an r value of 0.93, indicatinga very strong and positive relationship between the two variables. These findings suggest that students who achieve good results in Microteaching tend to demonstrate more optimal teaching abilities in the field. Therefore, this study emphasizes the critical role of Microteaching in preparing the pedagogical readiness and competence of future teachers. The findings also provide input for curriculum development to ensure that Microteaching learning becomes more applicable, contextual, and aligned with field needs. Keyword:Microteaching, TeachingAbility, PLP, Correlation, Information Technology  Education Abstrak:Salah satu upaya strategis dalam menyiapkan guru yang profesional adalah melalui penyelenggaraan program pembelajaran yang menitikberatkan pada keterampilan praktik mengajar, seperti microteaching dan Praktik Lapangan Persekolahan (PLP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana hubungan antara capaian pembelajaran mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Microteaching dengan kemampuan mengajarnya pada saat PLP di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Rokania. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasional. Data diperoleh melalui dokumentasi nilai akhir mata kuliah Microteaching dan observasi kinerja mengajar mahasiswa pada saat PLP. Hasil analisis korelasi Pearson menunjukkan nilai r sebesar 0,93 yang menunjukkan hubungan yang sangat kuat dan positif antara kedua variabel tersebut. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa yang memperoleh hasil baik pada Microteaching cenderung menunjukkan kemampuan mengajar yang lebih optimal di lapangan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya peran Microteaching dalam mempersiapkan kesiapan dan kompetensi pedagogik calon guru. Temuan ini juga memberikan masukan bagi pengembangan kurikulum agar pembelajaran Microteaching menjadi lebih aplikatif, kontekstual, dan selaras dengan kebutuhan lapangan. Kata kunci:Microteaching, Teaching Ability, PLP, Correlation, Information Technology  Education

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Active Learning model in improving mathematics learning outcomes among elementary school students. The research is motivated by the low levels of student participation and academic achievement, particularly in mathematics, which remains below the minimum competency threshold. A quantitative approach was employed using a pre-experimental design of the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design type, involving 23 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 018 Rambah Samo as research subjects. Data collection instruments included mathematics learning outcome tests, student activity observation sheets, and implementation observation sheets for the Active Learning model. The findings revealed that the average pre-test score was 61.087, which increased to 77.608 in the post-test. The calculated normalized gain (N-gain) score of 0.425 falls into the moderate category, indicating that the Active Learning model is fairly effective in enhancing students’ mathematics achievement. Moreover, the percentage of students achieving mastery rose from 17.39% to 65.22% after the implementation of the model. Observational data also indicated a significant increase in student engagement during lessons, and teachers were able to implement each stage of the learning model in a structured and consistent manner. Therefore, the Active Learning model is considered a viable instructional strategy to improve mathematics learning outcomes in elementary education. Keyword: Active Learning, Learning Outcomes, N-gain Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas model pembelajaran Active Learning dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa sekolah dasar. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya partisipasi aktif dan capaian belajar siswa yang masih di bawah standar ketuntasan minimal, khususnya pada mata pelajaran matematika. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimen tipe One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design, melibatkan 23 siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 018 Rambah Samo sebagai subjek penelitian. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi tes hasil belajar matematika, lembar observasi keaktifan siswa, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai pre-test siswa adalah 61,087 dan meningkat menjadi 77,608 pada post-test. Nilai normalized gain (N-gain) yang dihitung berdasarkan rerata skor sebesar 0,425 tergolong dalam kategori sedang, yang menunjukkan bahwa model Active Learning cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika. Persentase ketuntasan siswa juga meningkat dari 17,39% menjadi 65,22% setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran ini. Selain itu, hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa siswa lebih aktif dalam proses pembelajaran dan guru mampu melaksanakan tahapan pembelajaran secara terstruktur. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Active Learning layak untuk diterapkan sebagai strategi alternatif dalam pembelajaran matematika di jenjang sekolah dasar. Kata kunci: Active Learning, hasil belajar, N-gain
