Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the growth response and yield of large red bean (Vigna angularis L) when given goat manure and urea fertilizer. It has been carried out in Dagaran Hamlet, Kel. Palbapang, Kec. Bantul, Kab. Bantul, Yogyakarta, with an altitude of 50-100 meters above sea level (asl), average rainfall of 1,654 mm/year with an average temperature of 30 ºC. From May to July 2022. The study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD), with 2 treatment factors and 3 blocks. The first factor is the dose of goat manure consisting of 3 levels, namely K1: 5 tons/ha, K2: 10 tons/ha, K3: 15 tons/ha and the second factor is the dose of urea fertilizer consisting of 3 levels, namely D1: 100 kg/ha, D2: 150 kg/ha, D3: 200 kg/ha. Variables observed included: plant height, number of leaves, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight, number of pods per plant, fresh weight of pods per plant, dry weight of pods per plant, dry seed weight per plant, number of seeds per plant, weight of 100 seeds and seed weight per hectare. Data analysis using variance, for significantly different treatments was tested with the least significant difference test (LSD) at the 5% level. Based on the results of variance, there was no interaction between the treatment of goat manure doses and urea fertilizer doses on the observation variables of plant height, number of leaves, number of pods per plant, fresh weight of pods per plant, dry weight of pods per plant, dry seed weight per plant, and number of seeds per plant. The interaction between the doses of goat manure and the dose of urea fertilizer was found in plant fresh weight, plant dry weight, weight of 100 seeds, and seed weight per hectare. The highest growth in plant dry weight was obtained in the K2D1 treatment which was not significantly different from K1D2, K2D2, K3D2, K1D3, and K3D3. The highest red bean yield (tonnes/ha) was obtained in the D3K1 treatment which was not significantly different from K2D1, K3D1, K3D2, and K3D3.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to know the effect and interaction formulation of bioflok POC administration to growth and result of mustard and lettuce in polybag. Research has been carried out at the Green House. Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta. This study was conducted in January – April 2022. Altitude of 100 meters above sea level, with average temperature of 25.6°C. This research was conducted using a 4 x 2 factorial experiment with Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with 2 treatment factors and 3 replications. The first factor is the formulation of POC F0, F1, F2 and F3. F0 means without POC, F1 is mixture of bioflok catfish waste and coconut water, F2 is mixture of bioflok catfish waste, coconut water and EM4 and F3 is mixture of bioflok catfish waste, coconut water, EM4 and molasses. The second factor is types of plants, that is mustard (M1) and lettuce (M2). Analisis of observational variable data used variance analysis level of 5% and followed by Duncans Multiple Range Test (DMRT) level of α = 5%. The result of the experiment indicated that there was no interaction between the formulation of bioflok POC application on all observed variables to growth and result of mustard and lettuce in polybag. Mustard has the same result (fresh weight per clump) as lettuce. Mustard has the higher growth (dry weight per clump) than lettuce. The mixture of bioflok catfish waste and coconut water POC produced higher result than the other formulation. F1, F2 and F3 have the same growth, but formulation 1 has higher growth than F0 (without POC).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of biofloc watering media and intervals on the growth and yield of rice varieties IR 64 and fragrant mentik using a polybag planting system. The research was conducted in January - May 2022 at the Greenhouse located in Gang Kanthil, RW.05, Rejowinangun Village, Kotagede District, Yogyakarta City, Yogyakarta Special Region. The research area is located at an altitude of 113 meters above sea level, an average temperature of 28oC and an average of 2000-3000 mm of rain per year. The study was a 2 x 2 x 2 factorial experiment. The first factor was variety, namely IR 64 (V1) and fragrant mentik (V2). The second factor is the planting medium, namely soil planting media (M1) and soil + manure growing media (M2). The third factor is the biofloc watering interval, that is, the biofloc watering interval is 2 days 1x (B1) and the biofloc watering interval is 4 days 1x (B2). Parameters observed were plant height, number of stems, weight of dry stover, number of panicles, length of panicles, number of grain per hill, grain weight per hill, weight of 200 grain, and percentage of filled grain. The results showed that there was no interaction between varieties, growing media, and biofloc watering intervals on the growth and yield variables of rice plants. The results showed that there was an interaction between the planting medium and the biofloc watering interval on the number of stems. Soil + manure (M2) growing media produced a higher dry stover weight than soil growing media (M1). The fragrant mentik variety (V2) produced higher grain weight per clump than the IR 64 variety (V1). In the growth variable, the biofloc watering interval 2 days 1x (B1) produced a higher number of stems compared to the biofloc watering interval 4 days 1 x (B2), while the yield variable the biofloc watering interval gave the same grain weight per clump.

Abstract

The research which aims to determine the effect of dose of vermicompost and NPK fertilizers on the growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea mays-saccharata Sturt) has been carried out at the Pusat Pelatihan Pertanian dan Pedesaan Swadaya (P4S) “Lestari Makmur”, located at Jalan Wates Km. 12, Semampir Hamlet, Argorejo Village, Sedayu District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region in January-April 2022. This study used a Completely Randomized Block Design (RCBD) with a 3x3+1 factorial pattern consisting of 3 replications. The first factor is the dose of vermicompost fertilizer which consists of 3 levels, namely: 2 tons/ha (K1), 4 tons/ha (K2), and 6 tons/ha (K3). The second factor is the dose of NPK fertilizer which consists of 3 levels, namely: 200 kg/ha (N1), 250 kg/ha (N2), and 300 kg/ha (N3) in order to obtain 9 treatment combinations plus 1 control treatment, namely K0N0 (without fertilizer). The observed variables were plant height, stem diameter, plant fresh weight, dry weight of plant, length of ear, diameter of ear, weight of ear per plant, and weight of ear per hectare. Data were analyzed using variance followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5% level. The results showed that there was no interaction between doses of vermicompost and NPK fertilizers on plant growth and yield, except for stem diameter and fresh weight of sweet corn. The treatment doses of vermicompost and NPK were significantly different and higher than the control (without fertilizer) both on growth and yield variables. The dose treatment of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer did not have a significant effect on the growth variables (dry weight of plants) and yield (cob weight per hectare) of sweet corn.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of giving quail manure bokashi fertilizer doses and rabbit urine liquid fertilizer on the yield of cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis L.). This research was conducted from December 2022 to March 2023 in the yard which is located in Rejowinangun Village, Kotagede District, Special Region of Yogyakarta, with an altitude of 98 m above sea level, has a temperature of 27OC to 33OC. This study used a 3 x 2 factorial experiment, which was arranged in a Randomized Complete Block Design(RBCD) with 4 replications. The first factor was the dose of quail manure bokashi fertilizer which consisted of three levels: the dose of quail manure bokashi fertilizer was 5 tons/ha (B1), the dose of quail manure bokashi fertilizer was 10 tons/ha (B2), and the dose of quail manure bokashi fertilizer was 15 tons/ha. ha (B3). The second factor was rabbit urine liquid fertilizer (K0) which consisted of two levels: without the aplication of rabbit urine liquid fertilizer of 600 ml/ 1 liter of water per plot (K1). Data were analyzed using variance to determine the effect of treatment on variables then followed by DMRT (Duncan's Multiple Range Test). Parameters observed were leaf number, leaf length, leaf width, leaf chlorophyll content, stem diameter, flower diameter, flower length, and flower fresh weight. The results showed that three was no interaction between the dose of rabbit urine liquid fertilizer on the yield (fresh weight of flower). And adminstration between doses of quail manure bokashi fertilizer and aplication of rabbit urine liquid fertilizer did not significantly affect on the yield (fresh weight of flowers). Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of giving different concentrations of rabbit urine and quail manure compost on the chlorophyll content of leaves and the yield of Cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis L.). The study was conducted in the residential area of RT16/RW.05, Rejowinang Village, Kota Gede Subdistrict, Yogyakarta, Special Region of Yogyakarta. This research was conducted from December 2022 to March 2023. The study employed a 3 × 2 factorial experiment arranged in a Complete Randomized Block Design (CRBD) with four replications. The first factor consisted of three levels of rabbit urine concentration: K0 = control (without rabbit urine concentration), K1 = 30% concentration, K2 = 60% concentration. The second factor involved two levels of quail manure compost dosage: B1 = 5 tons/ha → 1.2 kg/plot, B2 = 15 tons/ha → 3.6 kg/plot. The research results indicate that there is no interaction between the concentrations of rabbit urine and the dosage of quail manure on the chlorophyll content of leaves and the yield of Cabbage plants. The treatments of rabbit urine concentrations (K0), (K1), and (K2) did not show a significantly difference in the chlorophyll content of leaves and the yield of Cabbage plants. Similarly, the dosages of quail manure compost (B1) and (B2) did not show any significantly difference in the chlorophyll content of leaves and the yield of Cabbage plants. Abstract

This study aims to investigate the interaction between NPK Multi-rice and Kasgot doses, as well as to determine their optimal levels to enhance the growth, quality, and yield of Edamame soybeans.This research was conducted from October to December 2024 in Agromulyi Village, Sedayu Distric, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The research location is in a lowland area with altitude of 80-105 meters above sea level (masl), average daily temperatures ranging from 21- 32°C, relative humidity 70-90%, and annual rainfall around 1,500-2,500 mm. This study was compiled in a Group Random Design with 3 replicates. This first factor is that the dose of Kasgot fertilizer consists of 3 levels, namely 0 ton/ha, 1,25 ton/ha and 2,5 ton/ha. The second factor is that the Multi-rice NPK consists of 3 levels, namely 300 kg/ha, 400 kg/ha and 500 kg/ha. The variables observed ware plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight of plants, dry weight of plants, number of pods, fresh weight of pods, number of seeds, weight of 100 seeds and yield of tons/hectare. Data analysis uses fingerprints at the 5% level, followed by DMRT at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction between Kasgot and NPK Multipadi fertilizers had a significant effect on the number of leaves, number of pods, 100-seed weight, and pod yield per hectare. Individually, Kasgot fertilizer significantly affected nearly all growth and yield variables, with the best results observed at a dose of 2.5 tons/ha. NPK Multipadi fertilizer also had a significant effect on several variables, including plant height, number of leaves, number of pods, 100-seed weight, and pod yield per hectare. However, no significant effects either from interaction or individual treatments were found on plant height, fresh and dry plant weight, fresh pod weight, and number of seeds.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the results of the optimal combination of the effect of the type and time of application of NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of edamamae soybeans (Glycine max L.) in increasing the growth and production of the Dega 1 variety of edamamae soybeans which was carried out in October- December, at the Integrated Laboratory of the Bachelorwiyata Tamansiswa University. The altitude is 88 meters above sea level (masl), the soil type is regosol, the soil pH is 5.5-7, the average temperature is 26-320C, and the rainfall is 1,654 mm/year. This research is a factorial research prepared using a 3x3 Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 3 replications. The first factor is Nitrogen (N), which consists of 3 levels, namely N1= Phonska: Multipadi, N2= Mutiara:Multipadi, and N3= Yaramila:Multipadi. The second factor is Time of Delivery (W), which consists of 3 levels, namely W1=10 days, W2= 10 and 40 days, and W3= 40 days. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight, dry weight, seed weight per plant, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, weight of 100 seeds (g), and weight of soybeans per hectare (tons/ha). There is an interaction between the treatment of giving the type of NPK fertilizer and the time of giving NPK fertilizer, on the weight of seeds per plant. The best combination on the weight of seeds per plant is a mixture treatment of 50% Phonska: 50% Multipadi (N1) with a time of giving 10 & 40 HST (W2).

Abstract

The research aimed to examine and determine the effect between the use of inorganic fertilizers and chicken manure on the growth and yield of shallot plants in sandy soil. The research was conducted from May to July 2024. It took place on the sandy land of the Ngudi Mulyo farmer group in Parangtritis, Kretek, Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region. The research site is located along the coast, at an elevation of 2 meters above sea level and approximately 400 meters from the coastline. The average annual temperature is 30℃, with a humidity level of 70– 80%, and the average monthly rainfall is 31 mm. The study was arranged using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with two factors. The first factor was organic fertilizer, consisting of No Manure (A0) and Chicken Manure (A1). The second factor was inorganic fertilizer, consisting of No Inorganic Fertilizer (K0), NPK (K1), NP (K2), NK (K3), and KP (K4). The observed variables included growth variables plant height, number of leaves, number of plants, fresh biomass weight, and dry biomass weight and yield variables bulb diameter, average biomass weight, average clean bulb weight, and clean bulb weight per hectare. Observation results were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) at a 5% significance level, followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% level. The results showed that there was no interaction between the application of organic and inorganic fertilizers on the growth and yield variables. Organic fertilizer treatment showed a significant difference in plant height, number of plants, and fresh biomass weight, with the highest results observed in the chicken manure treatment. However, organic fertilizer treatment showed no significant difference in the yield of shallots. Inorganic fertilizer treatment showed no significant difference in both the growth and yield of shallots.
