Abstract

Trans Metro Pekanbaru (TMP) is a public transportation that has been operating since 2009 in Pekanbaru. It has a function to reduce the problems related to public transport and traffic that appear because of the development of the city itself. During the time, the changing of passenger quantity, service quality and operation could happen anytime. Therefore, this research was done to find out the affectivity of TMP corridor II that serves the transportation from Terminal BRPS to Kulim with the load factor as the indicator.

Abstract

The type of pavement commonly used in Indonesia is flexible pavement that uses asphalt as its binding material. It is very important to maintain the characteristic of asphalt that functions as the aggregate adhesive in a mixture of asphalt concrete (laston). One way of maintaining or improving the characteristics of the laston is by using graphene as an additive. This study was aimed to examine and analyze the effect of adding graphene as an additive and to find out the most effective level of graphene addition in the asphalt mixture to the Marshall characteristics of the AC–BC laston mixture. This study combined the addition of graphene as an additive of 3.5%, 4%, and 4.5% of the weight of asphalt. The test results showed that the stability value of Marshall characteristics at optimum bitumen content conditions is increased. The highest stability value is found in the addition of 4.5% of graphene which is 1500 kg. The most effective level of graphene addition in the asphalt mixture against Marshall characteristics is by adding 4.5% graphene. The addition of 4.5% of graphene has the highest stability value with a difference of 200 kg or 14.81%, while the value of flow is 4,5 mm, VIM is 3.7%, VFA is 76%, VMA is 14,8%, and MQ is 350 kg/mm, all these values fulfill Bina Marga specifications 2010 revision 3, except the flow values. Abstract

Recycling techniques for pavement construction are reuse of existing pavement construction materials, which are reprocessed either with or without adding new materials. Old road Pavement is usually called Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP). AC-WC (Asphalt Concrete - Wearing Course) is a layer of pavement that is directly contacted to vehicle tires. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding anti termite and asphalt penetration 60/70 towards Marshall characteristics on concrete asphalt mixture (AC-WC). In this study, the termite and asphalt penetration 60/70 were added as fluxing material from RAP material. The bitumen content obtained from the RAP material used is 6%. The anti-termite and asphalt penetration levels of 60/70 used in this study were 0.5%, 1%, 1.5% and 2% for mixed weight. The specifications used in this study were following General Spesification of Bina Marga 2010 (3rd Revision) using the Marshall method. From the results of testing the Marshall characteristics it can be concluded that the VMA and VFA values increase along with the addition of added material levels, while the VIM value and stability decrease with the addition of added material levels and for irregular flow and MQ values. The results of the VIM, VMA, VFA, stability and MQ values meet the spesification, while the value of flow is vice versa. Abstract

Tuanku Tambusai street is a road with many road side activities such as pedestrians, public transport stops and other vehicles as well as vehicles going in and out of land side roads. Those activities that have an impact on traffic flow problems such as congestion, therefore an analysis is needed due to the influence of side barriers on road performance. This research was conducted on the road section of the SKA intersection to Tuanku Tambusai street – Sudirman with two directions and four road segments. All data taken in the field are primary data such as road geometrycal conditions, vehicle flow volume, side barriers, travel speed. While secondary data are population and research location maps. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, the most influential side barriers to the performance of road sections are the side barriers of vehicles entering and exiting with a contribution of 53 - 91%. The influence is carried out by the diversion of the side barriers of the vehicle exit/entry, it is found that there is an increase in the capacity of the east road with range of 206 - 362 pcu/hour daily and the west road with range of 33 - 231 pcu/hour daily, a decrease in the degree of saturation to the east road with range of 0.35 - 0.073 and the west road with ranged of 0.006 - 0.063, an increase in vehicle travel speed of the east road with ranged of 3 - 4 km/hour and the west road with ranged of 0.5 - 6 km/hour, and an increase in Level Of Service to A level has characteristics of free flow, low volume, high speed.   Keywords: Side Barriers, Road Performance, Level Of Service

Abstract

The road pavement mixture occasionally submerged in peat water and rain water. This research aims to determine the characteristics changes of AC-BC asphalt mixture through Marshall test. The mixture used asphalt pen 60/70. The specimens or mixture were soaked in two types of liquid namely peat water and rain water. The characteristics such as stability, flow, Marshall Quotient (MQ), void in mix (VIM), and void in mineral aggregate (VMA) and residual strength index (RSI) were measured using Marshall instruments. The immersion of asphalt using peat water and rain water have an impact towards its Marshall characteristics, respectively on the value of stability, flow, and VIM. The test showed that the stability value decreases with increasing of immersion age. At the age of 3 and 4 days after immersion in peat water and rain water, both asphalt stability values do not meet specifications according to general specification of Bina Marga 2018 with minimum value of 800 kg. Those result also showed that the specimens have damage faster than usual and reducing the strength of asphalt pavement. This loss of mixture strength leads to the decreased ability of the AC-BC mixture to bear the traffic load over the time then make it become plastic fatigue (flow). Then the research indicated that the value of the Residual Strength Index (RSI) gradually decreased since early ages. At the age of 2, 3, and 4 days of immersion of speciments showed in peat water, the value of RSI do not meet the specifications (more than 90%).Keywords: Peat water, Rain water, AC - BC

Abstract

Latasir or a thin layer of asphalt sand is a pavement surface covering consisting of fine aggregates or sand or a mixture of both hard and asphalt mixed, stretched and compacted under certain conditions. Itis often used on the streets as light as local roads or road environment, in order to restrain the rate of water so as not to enter into pores in it. One of the efforts made to improve the quality of asphalt pavementby modifying the mixture material with the addition of certain additives. Graphene is thought to be able to become another asphalt addictive. Several previous studies used Grpahene in various reinforcementstructures. The purpose of this study was to determine the value of Marshall characteristics in the mixtureof Latasir A using graphene addictive. Variation made in this study were 0% (without mixture), 2%, 2.5%, and 3% for the presentation value of asphalt density as a comparison of the value of stability, flow, VMA, VIM, VFA and MQ. The results of this study indicate that the addition of graphene as an addictive to the asphalt mixture tends to increase the value of stability, the value of melt (flow) so that it becomesmore elastic because it is above the specification limit, and not too much increase in the value of the VIM, VMA, VFA, and Marshall Quotient (MQ) value. For the best Marshall Characteristics, the addition ofgraphene is 3% and the optimum asphalt content (KAO) is 8,50% with a stability value of 580 kg, flow value of 4.10%, VIM 4.50%, VFA 79.00%, VMA 22.30% and MQ 140.00 Kg / mm.Keywords: graphene, additives, Latasir, Marshall Characteristics

Abstract

Asphalt mixture for highway pavement consists of aggregate, filler, and asphalt. Materials commonly used as fillers are cement, sand, lime, and rock ash. These materials have limited availability, are relatively expensive, and are nonrenewable materials. One of the alternatives to the filler is oil palm bunch ash which is a waste of the palm oil processing industry and is a renewable natural resource. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of peat water on the characteristic value of the Marshall AC-WC mixture with oil palm bunch ash as filler. This study used the asphalt content used in the determination of KAO of 5.5%, 6%, 6.5%, 7%, and 7.5%. While the variations filler used were 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8%. This research was conducted under the General Specifications of Bina Marga 2018. The results of this study show that the AC-WC layer mixture when immersed in peat water has an increased KAO value in the range of 6.08% 7.30%, for variations of filler 6% and 8%. not obtained because the characteristic parameters Marshall do not meet the specifications and the value of stability and durability has decreased. The filler 4%with immersion time of 0.5 hours gave the highest stability value of 919.93 kg, while the lowest yield was obtained at filler 0% with 24 hours soaking time of 513.80 kg. For Variations of filler 0%, 2%, and 4% with soaking time of up to 3 hours, the IKS value is more than 90% so that it meets the specifications. Keywords: Palm Bunch Ash, Filler, Peat Water, AC-WC

Abstract

Penggunaan helm menjadi suatu hal yang sangat penting dalam berkendara, karena dengan menggunakan helm, kefatalan akibat suatu kecelakaan dalam berkendara dapat diminimalisir, serta melindungi kepala dari benturan saat terjadinya kecelakaan. Penelitian inibertujuanuntuk mengetahui bagaimana volume lalu lintas serta perilaku pengendara dan karakteristik pengendara sepeda motor di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dalam menganalisis data. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan pengamatan (survei) langsung di ruas jalan Nasional di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi (Jln. Perintis Kemerdekaan, jln. Ahmad Yani, jln. Diponegoro, jln. Tuanku Tambusai dan jln Proklamasi). Dari hasil penelitian ini, diperoleh volume dan karakteristik pengendara sepeda motor di kabupaten Kuantan singing. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu perilaku pengendara sepeda motor tertinggi di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi terjadi pada jam 16:00-17:00 WIB yaitu pada pengemudi yang menggunakan helm (berkendara sendiri) dengan jumlah 242 kend/jam. Hal ini disebabkan pengendara sepeda motor pada jam tersebut sudah taat dalam menggunakan helm. Selain itu diperoleh juga perilaku pengendara sepeda motor terendah pada jam 10:00-11:00 WIB dengan jumlah 169 kend/jam pada pengemudi yang menggunakan helm (berkendara sendiri). Hal ini disebabkan karena pengendara sepeda motor pada jam tersebut masih banyak yang melakukan aktifitas didalam ruangan. Volume pengendara sepeda motor tertinggi di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi terjadi pada hari Minggu di jam 16:00-17:00 dengan jumlah 825 kend/jam, volume pengendara sepeda motor terendah di terjadi pada hari Rabu pada jam 11:00-12:00 dengan jumlah sepeda motor 478 kend/jam. Volume rata rata tertinggi terjadi pada jam sibuk yaitu pada jam 07:00-08:00, 09:00-10:00, 14:00-15:00 dan jam 16:00-17:00.

Abstract

Trotoar merupakan jalur khusus yang disediakan untuk pejalan kaki. Persoalan yang sering ditemui pada kawasan perkotaan yakni penyalahgunaan fungsi trotoar khususnya di trotoar pada kawasan jalan Jendral Ahmad Yani Kota Pekanbaru. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut peneliti perlu melakukan evaluasi dimensi trotoar dan tingkat pelayanan trotoar jalan Jendral Ahmad Yani Kota Pekanbaru, untuk standar perencanaan mengacu kepada Peraturan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat Nomor : 02/SE/M/2018 tentang Perencanaan Teknis Fasilitas Pejalan Kaki. Selain itu peneliti melakukan studi persepsi pejalan kaki melalui survei kuisioner untuk memperoleh tingkat kenyamanan pejalan kaki di trotoar pada kawasan jalan Jendral Ahmad Yani Kota Pekanbaru dengan metode analisis deskriptif persentase. Penelitian dilakukan dengan membagi ruas trotoar pada kawasan jalan Jendral Ahmad Yani Kota Pekanbaru menjadi empat segmen penelitian. Pembagian segmen dilakukan untuk memudahkan peneliti dalam melakukan pengamatan lokasi penelitian. Berdasarkan survei pengamatan langsung di lapangan diperoleh bahwa dimensi trotoar pada kawasan jalan Jendral Ahmad Yani Kota Pekanbaru sudah memenuhi standar perencanaan dan tingkat pelayanan trotoar atau level of service (LOS) di kawasan tersebut termasuk kriteria A sehingga tingkat pelayanan trotoar tergolong baik. Berdasarkan hasil survei kuisioner studi persepsi pejalan kaki diperoleh persentase tingkat kenyamanan pejalan kaki di segmen 1 sebesar 66,8 % termasuk kategori cukup nyaman, persentase tingkat kenyamanan pejalan kaki di segmen 2 sebesar 56,92 % termasuk kategori cukup nyaman, persentase tingkat kenyamanan pejalan kaki di segmen 3 sebesar 57,1 % termasuk kategori cukup nyaman, dan persepsi pejalan kaki di segmen 4 sebesar 75,8 % termasuk kategori nyaman. Persepsi pejalan kaki pejalan kaki hanya nyaman pada segmen 4 dan tiga segmen lainnya pejalan kaki termasuk kategori cukup nyaman. Berdasarkan persepsi pejalan kaki tersebut sehingga diperlukan peningkatan kualitas trotoar dan perawatan kondisi trotoar karena masih terdapat gangguan kenyamanan pejalan kaki akibat kondisi dan fasilitas trotoar yang rusak serta gangguan akibat pedagang kaki lima dan parkir liat di trotoar pada kawasan jalan Jendral Ahmad Yani Kota Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Helm merupakan hal yang sangat penting dipergunakan dalam berkendaraan sepeda motor. Penggunaan helm akan mengurangi tingkat kefatalan akibat kecelakaan dalam berkendara, karena fungsi helm melindungi kepala dari benturan saat terjadinya kecelakaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peluang pengendara sepeda motor dalam penggunaan helm di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. Metode yang dipergunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi logistik. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan pengamatan (survei) langsung dan melakukan wawancara kuesioner kepada sampel pengguna sepeda motor di ruas Jalan Nasional di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi (Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan, Jalan Ahmad Yani, Jalan Diponegoro, Jalan Tuanku Tambusai dan Jalan Proklamasi). Dari hasil penelitian ini, diperoleh peluang penggunaan helm di Kabupaten Kuantan Singing. Berdasarkan karakteristik dan peluang pengendara sepeda motor dari 14 variabel didapatkan yang memiliki hubungan dengan penggunaan helm terdiri dari 7 variabel. Variabel-variabel tersebut adalah: usia (umur), pendidikan, jumlah penumpang, gambaran kepatuhan, menggunakan helm, tali pengikat helm serta cedera kepala. Dari analisis diperoleh pengendara sepeda motor yang lewat di Jalan Nasional yang masuk ke daerah perkotaan di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi termasuk kategori taat dalam aturan menggunakan helm saat berkendaraan di jalan raya.
