Abstract

Kursi pengemudi tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tempat duduk, tetapi juga memainkan peran penting dalam mendukung kenyamanan fisik dan mental pengemudi. Kursi yang tidak ergonomis dapat meningkatkan risiko kelelahan dan masalah kesehatan, termasuk gangguan muskuloskeletal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan fasilitas ergonomis tambahan pada kursi pengemudi, yaitu bantalan duduk, sandaran punggung, dan sandaran leher, guna mengurangi risiko gangguan muskuloskeletal. Desain fasilitas ini menggunakan Pendekatan Ergonomi Total dengan metode antropometri, di mana dimensi disesuaikan dengan persentil ke-50 dan ke-95. Sepuluh pengemudi logistik dari sebuah perusahaan minuman di Kabupaten Tangerang, Banten, dilibatkan sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengukuran antropometri mencakup panjang popliteal-pantat, lebar pinggul, tinggi bahu saat duduk, dan lebar bahu. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan SPSS, dengan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk untuk memastikan distribusi data normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fasilitas tambahan yang dirancang secara ergonomis dapat meningkatkan kenyamanan pengemudi dan mengurangi keluhan muskuloskeletal. Selain itu, fasilitas ini didasarkan pada pendekatan Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG) yang menjamin efektivitas dari segi teknis, ekonomis, ergonomis, dan ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa intervensi ergonomis pada desain kursi pengemudi berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan kinerja, kesehatan, dan keselamatan pengemudi logistik.

Abstract

Inorganic waste, particularly plastic generated from school canteens and learning activities, remains a significant environmental challenge due to its non-biodegradability, which contributes to soil, water, and air pollution. Addressing this issue, this community service program aimed to enhance students' environmental awareness and practical skills in managing plastic waste by producing ecobricks, which were repurposed as eco-friendly plant pots to improve the school's aesthetic and ecological quality. Mercu Buana University implemented the program in collaboration with the Rawakalong Village Government to support SMKN 1 Gunung Sindur in achieving Exemplary Adiwiyata School status. The initiative combined participatory training sessions, hands-on Fs, and continuous mentoring, emphasizing the application of the 4R principles in the school environment. The results indicated a marked increase in students' engagement, knowledge, and skills in waste management, along with a measurable reduction in plastic waste volume. Ecobricks were successfully integrated into school greening activities, serving as both functional plant pots and tangible educational tools that reinforced sustainable behaviors. The program also contributed to the fulfillment of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) 3 and 7 and promoted experiential, community-based learning aligned with the Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka initiative. This study demonstrates that ecobrick-based interventions can transform environmental challenges into educational opportunities, fostering sustainable practices and participatory learning among students. Moreover, the program highlights the potential to scale ecobrick initiatives across broader school and community contexts, supporting environmental stewardship and institutional commitment to sustainability. These findings provide practical and theoretical insights into integrating hands-on waste management strategies into school-based ecological education programs.

Abstract

SMKN 1 Gunung Sindur contributes significantly to the preparation of vocational students with the technical and professional competencies required by industry. To improve this effort, it works together with Universitas Mercu Buana on a community service program that integrates character education with occupational safety and health (OSH), focusing on how to properly use personal protective equipment (PPE). The program is in line with the key performance indicators for higher education, which help build stronger partnerships between higher education institutions and vocational schools. Activities were designed from an industrial engineering perspective, emphasizing ergonomics, safety management, and a safety-oriented work culture, delivered through interactive training, video demonstrations, and structured discussions. Program outcomes were evaluated by using a post-training questionnaire (P1–P5). The results showed that 70.5% of students had not previously received similar training; 97% perceived the materials as highly beneficial; 91% found the content easy to understand; 90% reported engaging delivery; and 82% considered the training duration sufficient. Overall, the program improved students’ understanding and correct practice of PPE application, strengthened OSH awareness, and fostered positive attitudes towards safe work behavior. This initiative supports graduate employability and provides a practical model for sustainable collaboration between higher education institutions and vocational schools.
