Abstract

Scientific journals are publication media that contain articles that present the results of research and scientific studies. Management of journals by departments at universities is essential in improving the quality and reputation of departments, especially in supporting the implementation of tridharma in research. Based on the results of observations, the management of the Jeumpa Journal carried out by the Department of Biology Education at Samudra University is still not optimal. Through the Community Partnership Program (PKM), efforts were made to solve problems related to the not yet optimal management of the journal. Together with Jeumpa Journal editorial partners, efforts to optimize the journal were carried out through four stages, namely optimizing the appearance of the journal's website, compiling author guidelines, compiling article templates, and socializing and promoting the journal. Evaluation with Jeumpa Journal editorial partners on all stages of optimization activities that have been carried out is used as a benchmark in preparing follow-up programs in the development.

Abstract

The traditional values of Pencak Silat Pelintau have not been systematically incorporated into the curriculum as a resource for local history education. The integration of these values is essential for enhancing the relevance of local learning materials and ensuring the availability of indigenous educational resources. This study seeks to explore the integration of Pencak Silat Pelintau’s traditional values into the curriculum as an approach to local history education. Employing a descriptive qualitative research design, the study utilized data collection methods including observation, interviews, and document analysis. Data were analyzed through processes of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings suggest that the local wisdom inherent in Pencak Silat Pelintau can be effectively integrated into local history instruction. Within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum, the topics of the Islamic Kingdoms in Phase E and Colonialism and Indonesian National Resistance in Phase F present appropriate opportunities to incorporate the stories and values of the Pelintau Pencak Silat tradition. This integration enables students to develop a deeper understanding of local history while internalizing key values such as honesty, discipline, cooperation, simplicity, politeness, courage, and resilience—values that contribute to shaping positive attitudes and behaviors in students' personal and social lives. Abstrak: Nilai-nilai tradisional Pencak Silat Pelintau belum diintegrasikan secara sistematis ke dalam kurikulum sebagai sumber pembelajaran sejarah lokal. Integrasi nilai-nilai ini sangat penting untuk meningkatkan relevansi materi pembelajaran lokal dan memastikan tersedianya sumber daya pendidikan yang bersifat lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji integrasi nilai-nilai tradisional Pencak Silat Pelintau ke dalam kurikulum sebagai pendekatan dalam pembelajaran sejarah lokal. Dengan menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui metode observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Data dianalisis melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kearifan lokal yang terkandung dalam Pencak Silat Pelintau dapat diintegrasikan secara efektif ke dalam pengajaran sejarah lokal. Dalam kerangka Kurikulum Merdeka, topik-topik mengenai Kerajaan Islam pada Fase E serta Kolonialisme dan Perlawanan Nasional Indonesia pada Fase F menjadi peluang yang tepat untuk mengintegrasikan cerita dan nilai-nilai tradisi Pencak Silat Pelintau. Integrasi ini memungkinkan siswa untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih dalam mengenai sejarah lokal sekaligus menginternalisasi nilai-nilai penting seperti kejujuran, disiplin, kerjasama, kesederhanaan, kesopanan, keberanian, dan ketangguhan—nilai-nilai yang berkontribusi dalam membentuk sikap dan perilaku positif dalam kehidupan pribadi dan sosial siswa.

Abstract

Globalization impacts the younger generation, especially students who do not know the history of their culture. This study aims to reconstruct the history of the pantun reciprocal tradition that lives in the Malay community of Aceh Tamiang and to analyze the relevance in history learning at the high school level. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis has three steps: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The study results show that the Tamiang Pantun reciprocal tradition has existed since the 16th century. Starting from scholars and clerics who created prose, poetry, and oral traditions such as pantun and popular poetry, there was a change during the colonial period due to cultural acculturation between Malay and Javanese cultures. Other changes occurred, such as pantun being delivered singly in the past and tended to be monologic. Now, people are developing the Pantun reciprocal tradition as a form of two-way interaction that is more communicative and interesting. The Tamiang Pantun reciprocal tradition is relevant in developing local culture-based history learning. The tradition of responding to pantun in history learning is relevant to phase E (grade X), with the main topic in this phase being the development of Islamic Kingdoms in Indonesia, which includes discussions on the process of Islamization, the role of local figures, and the social and cultural values ​​that developed during that period.

Abstract

Masifnya pengembangan industri pariwisata dapat berpengaruh terhadap kerusakan lingkungan. Namun, Suku Tengger yang berada di Desa Ngadisari mampu meningkatkan perekonomian melalui kegiatan pariwisata dan tetap dapat melindungi lingkungannya agar tetap lestari. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan alasan mengapa kedua keadaan tersebut dapat terwujud. Studi ini dirancang secara kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode wawancara dan kajian kepustakaan. Hasil Studi menunjukkan keterlibatan Suku Tengger Desa Ngadisari dalam konservasi lingkungan didasari oleh pemahaman bahwa kehidupan yang baik adalah kehidupan yang harmoni antara manusia, alam dan tuhan. Kesadaran lingkungan ini diperoleh secara non formal melalui pewarisan nilai dalam kegiatan upacara adat-keagamaan yang konsisten dilaksanakan. Abstract

This mentoring assistance aims to help third-year students of Sekolah Sukma Bangsa Bireuen to conduct proper community service to enhance their social well-being. The setting of community service was held in SDN 12 Juli Bivak in Bireuen regency. SDN 12 July is one of the elementary schools in the Bireuen regency that was located in a remote area in that regency. Due to its location, the school experiences a lack of school resources and students' learning motivation. The implication of this mentoring activity was to help the school to tackle and ease this problem. This mentoring activity was framed into three main stages including preliminary visits, planning, and community services. The result of this community service mentoring was to increase Students' learning motivation in SDN 12 Juli, improve school resources, and increase Sukma Bangsa Students’ social well-being.
