Abstract

Laras Madya Dusun Sucen adalah seni musik tradisi Islam Jawa yang mengadopsi teks Serat Wulangreh karya Pakubuwono IV sebagai syairnya. Instrumen pengiring Laras Madya terdiri dari kendang, terbang dhana, terbang gong, dan sharon dua bilahan/kenthing. Permasalahan pada penelitian ini adalah bagaimana dominasi budaya massa pada Laras Madya Dusun Sucen? dan bagaimana proses resistensi Laras Madya Dusun Sucen?. Pendekatan pada penelitian ini adalah interdisiplin ilmu sosio-antropologi. Menggunakan metode kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian di Dusun Sucen, Desa Triharjo, Kecamatan Sleman, Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Teknik keabsahan data secara utama menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis isi dan analisis data interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Adanya dominasi budaya massa pada lingkup kelompok Laras Madya Dusun Sucen melalui media massa. (2) Adanya proses resistensi melalui bentuk keorganisasian dalam kelompok.

Abstract

            Berkaitan dengan UU Sistem Pendidikan Nasional Tahun 2003. Menuntut seni diwajibkan masuk dalam kurikulum pendidikan nasional sebagai mata pelajaran seni budaya (UU SISDIKNAS No. 20 Tahun 2003, Pasal 37). Pendidikan seni tergolong dalam pendidikan humanistik yang mencakup pendidikan nilai guna membentuk kecerdasan melalui cara berfikir yang kreatif. Gage dan Berliner menjelaskan lima orientasi nilai dalam pendidikan seni yang harus mengarah pada peningkatan nilai kepribadian, kecakapan hidup, kreativitas dan kognisi, meningkatkan rasa keingin tahuan, dan dapat menimbulkan kepekaan (Brian Hill, 1999:1). Kesenian Laras Madya sebuah perpaduan budaya Islam Jawa yang syarat dengan kandungan nilai, akan berguna bagi perkembangan karakter personal. Kesenian Laras Madya relevan untuk diaplikasikan dalam dunia pendidikan sebagai salah satu materi pelajaran seni budaya dalam pendidikan formal yang memenuhi lima orientasi nilai Gage dan Berliner. Tiga pembahasan dalam penulisan ini diantaranya deskripsi kesenian Laras Madya, relevansi kesenian Laras Madya sebagai materi pelajaran seni budaya, dan Laras Madya dalam lima orientasi nilai pendidikan Gage dan Berliner. Sebagai upaya pelestarian budaya dan pendukung kemajuan pendidikan di Indonesia.

Abstract

The Laras madya is a development form of Santiswaran music from the time of Pakubuwono X (1893-1930)  in Kasunanan Surakarta. This is a Javanese-Islamic cultures blend of music that its song lyric is based on the Serat Wulangreh text written by Pakubuwono IV. The Laras Madya instrumentation is generally utilized traditional percussions such as the kendang, the terbang dhana, the terbang gong, and the two-pitches saron, to accompany the Bowo (solo singer), and the Gerong (accompanist singer).  This study discusses the uniqueness of Larasa Madya’s musical form and its resistance from the domination of mass culture. Therefore, this research is aimed to describe and analyze the Laras madya’s musical form, and the resistance. This study applies interdisciplinary approaches to musicology, cultural studies, and socio-anthropology, through qualitative methods. This study result indicates that the Laras madya is a form of Javanese ensemble which characterized by rhythm repetition, the use of the Slendro pentatonic melody, constant expression, and moderate-andante tempo.  To resist from the hegemony of mass culture, the Laras Madya owns some efforts to form such public opinion/ campaign through cultural festival media, as its open resistance characteristic, and also to raise rumors on the negative image of mass culture as a class domination that is conducted bt individuals, as the trait of closed resistance.

Abstract

Penulisan artikel ini terdiri dari dua poin pembahasan, yang pertama mendeskripsikan proses pembuatan video pembelajaran violin, dan yang kedua adalah analisis Video Pembelajaran Violin Dalam Konteks Teknologi Informasi Dan Komunikasi. Tahapan dan metode yang dilakukan diantaranya, menggunakan metode kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian bertempat di prodi pendidikan musik Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta. Pemilihan sampel penelitian dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data interaktif. Hasil Pembahasan : Pembuatan video dibagi menjadi 3 kegiatan utama yaitu: 1) kegiatan pembuka berisikan teks judul, salam pembuka, perkenalan diri pemateri, dan penyampaian isi materi pembelajaran secara singkat; 2) kegiatan inti berisikan pengenalan bagian-bagian instrument violin, cara memegang violin yang sesuai, penyampaian teknik gesekan detache, staccato, legato, dan spiccato; 3) kegiatan penutup berisikan salam penutup, ucapan terimakasih dan credit title.  Implikasi: Pembelajaran sudah selayaknya ditumbuhkan melalui pemenuhan inovasi dari seorang pengajar. Langkah pembuatan video pembelajaran violin dibuat sejalan dengan sistem pendukung keputusan yang bermanfaat sebagai upaya terwujudnya kemajuan pendidikan.

Abstract

Purpose: This article describes the creation of youtube video content as a result of learning violin instrument practice of the ISI Yogyakarta Fakultas Seni Pertunjukan Music Education Study Program, and analyzes the role of youtube as a medium for information and communication technology in the community in the context of learning outcomes of the violin instrument practice in the Music Education Study Program of FSP ISI Yogyakarta. Research methods: This study uses an interdisciplinary approach and qualitative research methods. Results and discussion: The answer to the first problem regarding the making of youtube video content as a result of learning the violin instrument practice course includes the preparation of a video design, consultation with the head of study program regarding ideas, preparing human resources/talent, carrying out recording, carrying out video editing, and posting videos of learning results of the violin instrument practice to youtube . In the second problem, the research results obtained that the recording of learning outcomes of the violin instrument practice in the ISI Yogyakarta Music Education Study Program is a form of achievement of learning targets for lecturers and students. Implication: Video recording of learning outcomes is an information on academic identity through the mechanism of processing recording works, storing audio-visual data on learning outcomes, and disseminating and presenting information on learning processes and outcomes institutionally.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil pelatihan ambasir sangkakala dengan menggunakan metode demonstrasi untuk menjawab rumusan masalah, peneliti berusaha  menerapkan teknik ambasir yang benar kepada pemain sangkakala prajurit Keraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat, dikarenakan selama ini pemain sangkakala belum mengetahui teknik yang benar, dan pelatih sangkakala merupakanakan pelatih turun temurun serta  bukan berlatar belakang pemusik. Dengan pengetahuan yang peneliti miliki, peneliti bermaksud melatih pemain sangkakala dengan menggunakan metode demonstrasi agar memudahkan pemain sangkakala menerima materi yang diberikan oleh pelatih. Penelitian ini merupakanakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang mendukung faktor-faktor hasil yang lebih nyata dan mengevaluasi keseluruhan penelitian dengan data yang lebih akurat. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah pemain sangkakala prajurit Keraton. Untuk mendapatkan data, dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisi data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan 3 tahap yaitu, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menulis kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan ambasir sangkakala dengan menggunakan metode demonstrasi dikategorikan berjalan dengan baik dilihat dari pemahaman dan hasil latihan serta peningkatan perkembangan anggota, namun juga terdapat kendala  selama proses penerapan metode demonstrasi diantaranya : (1) ketidak fokusan dan kebosanan, (2) bentuk ambasir yang sering berubah secara tidak sadar, (3) pernafasan yang belum sepenuhnya menggunakan diafragma mengakibatkan anggota sering sesak ketika berlatih (4) ketersediaan instrument, dan (5) pengetahuan yang terbatas tentang musik.Application Of The Demonstration Meyhod To The Sangkakala Ambasir Training In The Soldiers Of The Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Palace.The purpose of this study was to find out the results of the trumpet ambasir training by using the demonstration method to answer the problem formulation, the researcher tried to apply the correct ambasir technique to the trumpet players of the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Palace soldiers, because so far the trumpet players did not know the correct technique, and the trumpet trainer was the trainer. hereditary and not a background musician. With the knowledge the researcher has, the researcher intends to train the trumpet players using the demonstration method to make it easier for the trumpet players to accept the material provided by the coach. This research is a qualitative descriptive research that supports more real outcome factors and evaluates the entire study with more accurate data. The source of the data in this study is the trumpet players of the Keraton soldiers. To obtain data, in this study using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study used 3 stages, namely, data reduction, data presentation, and writing conclusions. The results showed that the trumpet ambasir training activities using the demonstration method were categorized as going well in terms of understanding and training results as well as increased member development, but there were also obstacles during the process of implementing the demonstration method including: (1) lack of focus and boredom, (2) form ambastri that often changes unconsciously, (3) breathing that has not fully used the diaphragm resulting in members often shortness of breath when practicing (4) availability of instruments, and (5) limited knowledge of music

Abstract

Violin instrument practicum at the ISI Yogyakarta Music Education Study Program is included in the Instrument Studies course in 4 levels, consisting of Instrument Studies I, II, III, and IV. In the assessment of the final semester exam for this course, the assessment is carried out using the idea of performance assessment which is applicable to the characteristics of violin performance, to avoid assessment bias. This article is the result of qualitative research with the material object of implementing the Final Semester Examination/UAS for the violin instrument study course at the ISI Yogyakarta Music Education Study Program, and the formal object of performance assessment in terms of the musicological aspect. The stages taken in this research include the process of literature study, observation, interviews and analysis. The result in this article is that performance assessment is needed as an accuracy of assessment parameters. The expected goal is that lecturers and students can use the evaluation results from performance assessments as a guide to identifying strengths and weaknesses in violin playing skills. Assessment includes: fundamental aspects include assessing the close relationship between the player's body posture and the violin instrument; aspects of notation and intonation accuracy; aspects of rhythmic accuracy; and aspects of musical interpretation.

Abstract

The Indonesian nation must become more aware of cultural diversity, as many students still lack this awareness. Indonesia is known for its multicultural and pluralistic society, emphasizing the need to introduce cultural diversity in education. At PGSD UAD, fine arts and skills classes, particularly woodcraft, embody multicultural education principles. Understanding cultural pluralism helps maintain cultural heritage and mutual respect. This research aims to describe the woodcraft learning process at PGSD UAD and design multicultural education through this medium. Using qualitative methods like observation, interviews, and document reviews, the study focuses on UAD PGSD students practicing wooden batik in Krebet Village. The findings reveal a structured learning process involving material selection, design stages, and creating batik motifs representing diverse cultures. Multicultural education at PGSD UAD fosters an inclusive environment where students access equal educational opportunities, regardless of race, ethnicity, or other factors. Woodcraft products reflect various ethnic influences from across Indonesia.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with diverse cultures, ethnicities, races, religions, and all kinds of differences. Seeing the unique characteristics of Indonesian society, full of multicultural, it is very interesting to look at the learning process. It can be seen that the nation's generation comes from young people, of course through education they can be given an understanding of differences. Murals can be used as an educational medium. The aim of this research is to analyze murals as a media and multicultural paradigm for PGSD students. This research method uses a qualitative research type. Using data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and document review. Data analysis uses data reduction, data verification, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that murals are a type of fine arts education that can be used as a medium for the process of transferring knowledge to students. Through art murals, students can process their feelings by expressing themselves and refreshing themselves as well as becoming aware of various social problems. Apart from that, murals can also be useful for exploring local wisdom as one's own cultural potential, apart from honing oneself to understand the meaning of the value of mutual cooperation education. Apart from that, the mural paradigm can be seen through mural learning based on cultural pluralism and cultural diversity. The gap in this research is that murals are usually only used as expressions of artistic creation, even murals on the streets also give the impression of vandalism. However, apart from that, murals have the value of conveying a certain meaning in each work.
