Abstract

Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Buku panduan asesmen otentik yang disusun oleh Direktorat Pembinaan SMA (2013) menunjukkan ‘kurang tepat’ untuk digunakan oleh guru biologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku panduan asesmen otentikbagi guru biologi SMA/MA dan mendeskripsikan validitas, kelayakanisi, keterbacaan dan implementasi buku tersebut. Penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R &D). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Pecangaandan SMA Negeri 1 Jepara dengan 5 orang guru biologi yang menerapkan kurikulum 2013 sebagai responden. Buku panduan divalidasi oleh 2 ahli (ahli media danahlimateri). Data diambil menggunakan teknik wawancara dan observasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Buku panduan yang disusun oleh Direktorat Pembinaan SMA (2013) disusun untuk guru secara umum dan guru biologi pada kenyataannya mengalami kesulitan dalam menyusun instrument dan rubric untuk pembelajaran biologi dengan tepat. Guru  biologi membutuhkan buku panduan asesmen otentik yang khusus untuk biologi agar  dapat menerapkan asesmen otentik sesuai dengan pembelajaran biologi dan tujuan pendidikan sains. Buku panduan asesmen otentik yang dikembangkan diklasifikasikan ‘sangat valid’, ditinjau dari segi media (95,875%) dan materi (95,31%). Buku panduan tersebut juga diklasifikasikan ‘sangal layak’ ditinjau dari kelayakanisi (95,31%) dantingkat keterbacaannya ‘tinggi’ (79,2%) oleh guru biologi. Keterterapan buku panduan tersebut diklasifikasikan dalam criteria baik. Meskipun demikian, guru biologi belum bias melaksanakan asesmen, utamanya asesmen afektif dan psikomotorik karena berbagai kendala.   Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ The authentic assessment guidebook  compiled by Direktorat Pembinaan SMA showed ‘less appropriate’. This study  was aimed  at   developing an authentic assessment guidebook  for senior high school biology teachers and   describing its validity, worthiness, legibility, and implementation.  This study was Research and Development modified from Borg & Gall (2003). This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Pecangaan and SMA Negeri 1 Jepara, with  5  biology teachers that applied the Curriculum of 2013 as respondents. The Guidebook was validated by experts on media and subject matters. Data were collected by interview and observation techniques. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis of quantitative and qualitative. The guidebook was compiled  for teachers in general and biology teachers in particular who had  difficulty in preparing  instruments and rubrics for biology appropriately. Biology teachers need authentic assessment guidebook  specifically for biology to apply authentic assessment appropriate for biology learning and science education goals. The guidebook was  classified  ‘very valid’ in term of both the media (96,875%) and materials (95,31). The guidebook was also classified ‘very appropriate’ (95,31%) and  high level of legibility  (79,2%) by  biology teachers. Implementation of authentic assessment guidebook  was  under good criteria. However, biology teachers was unable to apply authentic assessment mainly  on affective and psychomotor aspects effectively because of   various constraints. .

Abstract

Peningkatan polutan logam berat kadmium (Cd) di persawahan menjadi masalah lingkungan yang serius karena dapat menimbulkan toksisitas dan berakibat pada penurunan pertumbuhan tanaman pangan yang tidak toleran. Gejala toksisitas Cd pada tanaman dapat dikurangi dengan memanfaatkan unsur benefisial seperti silikon (Si). Namun, peran Si dalam mengurangi gejala toksisitas Cd pada padi ‘Cempo Merah’ belum banyak diteliti. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengkaji peran Si dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan kadar klorofil padi ‘Cempo Merah’ yang tercekam logam berat Cd.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Rancangan Acak Lengkap 2 Faktorial, yakni perlakuan 3CdSO4.H2O­ dan CaSiO3 (masing-masing dengan konsentrasi 0, 50, dan 100 mg.kg-1 tanah), dengan 3 kali ulangan. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA (analisis sidik ragam) dan uji DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) pada p 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan Si (100 mg.kg-1 tanah) efektif meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan kadar klorofil padi ‘Cempo Merah’ baik dalam kondisi tidak tercekam maupun tercekam logam berat Cd. AbstractIncreasing cadmium (Cd) in rice fields become a serious environmental problem because it can cause toxicity and decrease the growth of intolerant food crops. These toxicity symptoms can be reduced by utilizing beneficial elements such as silicon (Si). However, its role in rice 'Cempo Merah' has not been much studied. This study aimed to examine the role of Si in increasing the growth and chlorophyll content in the rice ‘Cempo Merah’ under Cd stress. This study used a Complete Randomized Design, two factorials, namely 3CdSO4.H2O and CaSiO3 (each with 0, 50, and 100 mg.kg-1 of soil concentrations), with 3 replications. The research data were analyzed using ANOVA and Duncan’s test at p 0.05. Abstract

Abroma augusta L. known as Devil’s cotton belongs to Malvaceae. The exploratory study aimed to study the morphological and anatomical characteristics of the aerial parts of A. augusta L. from Semarang. The transverse section of the aerial parts was made by a simple method (fresh preparation) and then observed under a binocular microscope with an optilab. All characteristics were observed and then compared with the references. The collected data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. In summary, the results showed that A. augusta L. was an evergreen shrub (small tree) with orthotropic and plagiotropic branches and polymorphous leaves. The inflorenscence was found in the terminal and axillar plagiotropic branching with bisex, actinomorphic, and pentamerous flowers. The fruit was unique (obconical capsule with a rounded base and truncate-tip with 5 angled wings) including cotton fibers and numerous black seeds. The petiole was composed of epidermis, collenchyma, cortical parenchyma, sclerenchyma, vascular bundle, mucilaginous ducts, and pith. The dorsiventral leaf was composed of upper and lower epidermis, palisade, and spongy parenchyma. The stomata type was ranunculaceous (anomocytic) while the guard cell was kidney-shaped. The stomata density on the abaxial leaf was higher than that of the adaxial leaf. The stellate and unicellular non-glandular trichomes, and capitate glandular trichomes were found abundantly on the petiole and leaf blade. These morphological and anatomical studies are important to support the identification as a part of the conservation effort of the plant. Further studies are recommended to investigate the root morphology and anatomy and also biochemical characteristics of each part of the plant in order to obtain  complete plant identification.

Abstract

The presence of shade trees has ecological function to reduce air pollution level. The part of leaves, stomata is responsible for the function. The study aimed to inventory species and analyze the characteristics of leaf stomata of shade trees at UIN Walisongo Semarang. This exploratory research was conducted in September-October 2021. Observation method throughout the campus area was carried out by using observation sheet. Some representative books and articles were used as references. For stomata observation, leaf samples were taken by purposive sampling. Paradermal preparations were made by wholemount method. All data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that there were about 17 families, 37 species and 712 individual species of shade trees growing on campus 2-3. Then, there were about 8 families, 8 species and 138 individual species of shade trees growing on campus 1. The highest number of trees in both location was Glodogan Tiang. There were about 7 families, 7 species, and 194 individual species of shade trees recently planted on campus 2-3. Stomata characteristics (type, distribution, length and width, pore length and width, number, and density) differed in each species. The largest stomata size and pore were found in in abaxial leaves of Nyamplung whereas the highest stomata density was found in abaxial leaves of Mahagony. Pore size and density of stomata were related to the ability of leaves to reduce air pollution level. The shade tree data obtained in this study showed plant diversity in the campus.

Abstract

Abstrak: Desa Kalipancur, Ngaliyan, Semarang memiliki potensi sumber daya alam dan sumber daya manusia yang dapat dimanfaatkan di bidang ekonomi kreatif. Penelitian pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kreativitas masyarakat desa Kalipancur melalui pelatihan pembuatan kerajinan tulang daun. Kegiatan pelatihan ini merupakan bagian dari program Kuliah Kerja Nyata Mandiri Inisiatif Terprogram dari Rumah (KKN-MIT DR) kelompok 52 UIN Walisongo Semarang yang dilaksanakan di desa Kalipancur Rukun Warga IV Ngaliyan, Semarang. Peserta terdiri dari karang taruna dan ibu PKK yang berjumlah 15 orang. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari rapat koordinasi persiapan kegiatan, persiapan alat dan bahan, pelaksanaan kegiatan, dan evaluasi. Peserta mengikuti serangkaian kegiatan dengan baik dan antusias. Terdapat kendala seperti cuaca yang tidak mendukung (hujan) saat hari pelaksanaan kegiatan, akan tetapi kendala tersebut dapat teratasi dengan mengganti jadwal kegiatan di hari berikutnya. Selain itu, tidak semua anggota dapat mengikuti karena memiliki kesibukan lainnya. Output yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan ini adalah peserta dapat membuat produk kerajinan dari tulang daun seperti gantungan kunci, pembatas buku, dan kolase foto 3D. Selain itu, peserta terinspirasi untuk membuka peluang usaha kerajinan tulang daun.Abstract: Kalipancur Village, Ngaliyan, Semarang has the potential of natural resources and human resources that can be utilized in the creative economy. This community service research aimed to explore the creativity of the Kalipancur village community through training in making leaf bone crafts. This training activity was part of the Programmed Self-Employed Real Work Lecture program from Home (KKN-MIT DR) of 52nd group of UIN Walisongo Semarang which was held in Kalipancur village Rukun Warga IV Ngaliyan, Semarang. Participants consisted of 15 people forom both youth groups and PKK mothers.. This activity consisted of a coordination meeting for the preparation of activities, preparation of tools and materials, implementation of activities, and evaluation. Participants participated in a series of activities well and enthusiastically. There were some obstacles such as unfavorable weather (raining) on the day of the activity, but these obstacles could be overcome by changing the schedule of activities on the next day. In addition, not all members could participate because they had other activities. The output of this activity was that participants could make craft products from leaf bones such as key chains, bookmarks, and 3D photo collages. In addition, participants were inspired to open up leaf bone craft business opportunities.

Abstract

Herbicides that have less impact on non-target crops are better suited for weed control. The use of a commercial glyphosate-based herbicide (Roundup®) is a farmer's choice for controlling these weeds. The negative effects of glyphosate residues on cultivated crops, environment and human health have led farmers to switch to use bioherbicides. Ketapang (Terminalia catappa L.) leaves have been studied having the potential as bioherbicide but their effects on non-target plant have been less studied. This study aimed to examine the effects of Roundup® and Ketapang leaf extract on germination and chlorophyll content of cayenne pepper as non-target plant. This experimental study was conducted using completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 replications. Cayenne pepper was sown for 14 days. Parameters observed were germination, morphology, weight, and chlorophyll content of cayenne pepper sprouts. The data were analyzed using SPSS ver. 16 and tested with One-Way ANOVA or Kruskal Wallis tests at p-value of 0.05 depended on parametric assumption tests. There were significant differences between the Roundup® solution treatment with the control on all parameters (germination parameters, weight, and chlorophyll content of cayenne pepper sprouts) (p<0.05). The effect was getting worse seen in cayenne pepper seeds given high doses of Roundup® solution. On the contrary, there were no significant differences between the treatments of the aqueous extract of Ketapang leaves with the control on all parameters (p>0.05), except the vigor index. There were morphological changes in the radicle and root of cayenne pepper sprouts exposed to them. Rotted radicles were highly visible in Roundup®-exposed sprouts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of understanding of the students of SDN Rejosari about bullying through direct socialization or counseling and measurement using interviews and questionnaires. The type of research used is qualitative research, which focuses on data acquisition through open communication and conversation. The research was conducted on students in grades 4, 5, and 6 through a socialization or counseling method about bullying. The results showed that 97.6% of students (82 students) understand the concept of bullying thoroughly, while 2.4% (2 students) were included in the category of not understanding. Students' answers during the seminar that are relevant and appropriate show that most students understand the material that has been presented. This data indicates the success of the counseling program in increasing student awareness about bullying. However, additional attempts are needed to improve the understanding of students who do not understand the material well

Abstract

Abstrak. Literasi sains di bidang pendidikan Indonesia minim akan inovasi yang dikembangkan oleh pengajar. Umumnya pengajar hanya menggunakan metode ceramah dalam menyampaikan materi kepada siswa sehingga siswa merasa kesulitan menangkap materi yang diterima. Untuk memudahkan siswa dalam memahami materi, inovasi buku pintar berbasis QR Code menjadi salah satu bentuk inovasi media pembelajaran. Hal tersebut dikarenakan generasi Z lebih tanggap dan cepat mengusai teknologi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendesain dan mengembangkan buku pintar berbasis QR Code pada materi Bryophyte untuk siswa SMA N 1 Boja. Metodologi penelitian yaitu RnD dengan model pengembangan ADDIE dengan tahapan (1) penelitian eksplorasi, (2) analisis, (3) desain buku, (4) uji kelayakan, (5) revisi (7) pelaksanakan, dan (6) evaluasi. Analisis data digunakan rumus persentase (Arikunto) dan tabel kelayakan Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukan karakteristik buku pintar berbasis QR Code yaitu menggunakan kode qr untuk menampilkan foto dan video, terdapat integrasi Nilai Islam, macam lumut diambil dari penelitian eksplorasi. Kelayakan buku pintar yaitu ahli media 80,95% (layak), ahli materi 91,67% (sangat layak), ahli integrasi 90% (sangat layak). Buku pintar ini memiliki potensi untuk melatih kemampuan literasi siswa dengan persentase 88%. Abstract. Scientific literacy in Indonesian education lacks innovations developed by teachers. Generally, teachers only use the lecture method in delivering material to students so that students find it difficult to catch the material received. To make it easier for students to understand the material, QR Code-based smart book innovation is a form of learning media innovation. This is because Generation Z is more responsive and faster at mastering technology. The research objective is to design and develop a QR Code-based smart book on Bryophyte material for students of SMA N 1 Boja. The research methodology is RnD with the ADDIE development model with stages (1) exploration research, (2) analysis, (3) book design, (4) feasibility test, (5) revision (7) implementation, and (6) evaluation. Data analysis used percentage formula (Arikunto) and Likert feasibility table. The results of the study show the characteristics of the QR Code-Based Smart Book, namely using a QR Code to display photos and videos, there is an integration of Islamic values, types of mosses taken from exploratory research. The eligibility of Smart Books are media experts 80.95% (adequate), material experts 91.67% (very feasible), integration experts 90% (very feasible). This smart book has the potential to train students' literacy skills with a percentage of 88%.

Abstract

Halal certification plays a crucial role in ensuring that a product is safe for consumption and complies with Islamic principles. Additionally, halal certification can also enhance a product's competitiveness. This study aims to provide understanding and knowledge to the community, particularly to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), about the importance of halal certification for a product in supporting sales growth, especially for food products. Using a qualitative approach, interviews and observations were conducted with MSME operators. The research findings indicate that limited access to information and low public awareness about halal certification are major barriers to implementing halal certification in the village. In this context, the government has appointed the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) of the Republic of Indonesia to intensify halal certification for food industry producers. The requirements and procedures for obtaining halal certification need to be socialized to the broader community, particularly MSME operators. Thus, the KKN Team of UIN Walisongo, together with BPJPH, aims to assist the government program by providing information and understanding to the Rejosari village community about the importance of holding a halal certificate, which can help enhance the economic value of the village.
