Abstract

This research was aimed to examine the effect of ATC’s trauma after controlling an aircraft with an accident or incident on the ATC mental workload (Air Traffic Controller) at Perum LPPNPI Medan Branch. The analysis used an independent variable of trauma and the dependent variable is mental workload. The sample of this research is ATC who had ever controlled an aircraft. The method of this research is quantitative methods. The data analyzing in the forms of validity, reliability, normality, linearity, correlation, significance determination, and simple linear regression test. The result of this research with pearson product moment test showed the correlation is 0,8161 which categorized as very strong correlation and the determination shows 66,61%. The simple linear regression shows that every increase in the ATC’s trauma by one point will increase ATC’s mental-workload by 0.8312 at constant level of 2.4181.

Abstract

Air traffic services at Sam Ratulangi International Airport Manado have a number of VFR flight traffic. In providing air traffic services, the air traffic controller of Perum LPPNPI Manado Branch is guided by predetermined procedures. VFR aircraft that arrive do not have a holding point. VFR aircraft are given orbit instructions to maintain separation from IFR aircraft arriving or holding at MNO VOR/DME. However, ATC does not know exactly how the orbit maneuvers of aircraft and VFR aircraft that will approach runway 36 from the VFR Manado-Lilang route can hinder aircraft that will depart with visual runway 18 via Airmadidi. The solution is to create a Holding Point for VFR aircraft to improve approach control optimization service at Perum LPPNPI Manado Branch. In this study the authors used a qualitative descriptive data analysis research technique. The data studied contains words or sentences obtained from interviews or observations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis kelayakan fasilitas Unit Penanggulangan Keadaan Darurat dan Pemadam Kebakaran (PKP-PK), meliputi peralatan, kendaraan, dan jumlah personel, terhadap keselamatan penerbangan. Fasilitas PKP-PK berperan krusial dalam respons cepat dan efektif terhadap keadaan darurat di bandara. Melalui kajian pustaka dan analisis data empiris, penelitian ini mengevaluasi pengaruh perawatan peralatan dan kendaraan, serta jumlah personel terhadap kesiapan operasional dan efektivitas respons darurat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peralatan dan kendaraan yang terawat, serta jumlah personel yang memadai, penting untuk memastikan pembagian tugas yang efisien dan respons cepat terhadap keadaan darurat, yang mengurangi risiko cedera, kematian, dan kerusakan infrastruktur bandara. Manajemen sumber daya manusia dan fasilitas yang baik, termasuk pemeliharaan rutin dan penambahan personel sesuai kebutuhan, merupakan langkah esensial dalam strategi keselamatan penerbangan. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya investasi berkelanjutan dalam fasilitas dan personel PKP-PK untuk mendukung operasional bandara yang aman dan efisien.

Abstract

Helikopter memiliki peran krusial dalam industri minyak dan gas, terutama dalam mendukung akses ke fasilitas lepas pantai yang sulit dijangkau dengan transportasi konvensional. Namun, operasi helikopter di sektor ini memiliki tingkat risiko kecelakaan yang tinggi, terutama akibat kondisi cuaca ekstrem dan keterbatasan infrastruktur darurat di tengah laut. Oleh karena itu, kesiapan personel dalam menghadapi keadaan darurat menjadi aspek yang sangat penting guna meminimalkan dampak kecelakaan. Sebagai upaya meningkatkan keterampilan personel dalam penyelamatan dan pemadaman kebakaran helikopter, dosen Program Studi PKP Politeknik Penerbangan Indonesia Curug mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa Pelatihan Helicopter Rescue and Fire Fighting (HRFF) di PT. Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur (PHKT) pada 14-20 Juli 2024. Pelatihan ini mengombinasikan sesi teori dan praktik guna meningkatkan pemahaman peserta terhadap risiko kebakaran helikopter, prosedur penyelamatan awak, serta strategi pemadaman efektif di lingkungan industri minyak dan gas. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan peserta, khususnya dalam mengidentifikasi potensi risiko serta menerapkan prosedur penyelamatan sesuai standar International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) dan National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Untuk pengembangan di masa depan, disarankan penggunaan teknologi simulasi dan realitas virtual guna memperkaya metode pelatihan serta meningkatkan efektivitas dalam menghadapi keadaan darurat secara lebih realistis dan interaktif.

Abstract

Heliports play a vital role in supporting urban mobility and emergency medical services, necessitating accurate and standardized aeronautical information to maintain aviation safety. The heliport chart, as a specialized type of aeronautical chart, serves as the primary medium for disseminating this information. However, current official charts in Indonesia display significant inconsistencies and missing data, potentially leading to misinterpretation by pilots. This study assesses the adequacy of existing internal standards for heliport chart production and their alignment with the Ministry of Transportation Regulation (PR) No. 6 of 2023, which governs the depiction of aeronautical charts under MOS 175-01. A qualitative approach was employed, including comparative analysis of published heliport charts, direct observation, and semi-structured interviews with cartographic personnel at AIS units in Jakarta and Denpasar. The results reveal that the current standard operating procedures (SOPs) are overly generic, lack specific provisions for heliport facilities, and fail to fulfill regulatory requirements. These deficiencies result in inconsistent chart content, omission of critical operational information, and reduced production efficiency. To address these issues, it is recommended to develop a distinct and detailed standard dedicated to heliport chart production in compliance with PR 6 of 2023. Such standardization is crucial to ensure clarity, completeness, and consistency of heliport charts, ultimately enhancing both flight safety and cartographic workflow effectiveness.

Abstract

Transportasi udara menjadi sektor penting dalam mendukung mobilitas masyarakat modern. Dalam konteks ini, pelayanan di bandara, khususnya oleh Information Service Officer (ISO), memiliki peranan strategis dalam membentuk kepuasan penumpang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pelayanan ISO terhadap tingkat kepuasan penumpang di Bandara Internasional Zainuddin Abdul Madjid Lombok. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 98 responden. Instrumen disusun berdasarkan lima dimensi SERVQUAL, yaitu Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, dan Empathy. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana dan koefisien determinasi dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelayanan yang diberikan oleh ISO berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan penumpang, dengan nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,723. Artinya, 72,3% variasi dalam kepuasan penumpang dapat dijelaskan oleh kualitas pelayanan ISO. Dimensi responsiveness dan empathy menjadi faktor yang paling dominan. Hasil ini menegaskan pentingnya peningkatan kompetensi petugas serta pemanfaatan teknologi informasi untuk memperkuat efektivitas pelayanan. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi masukan strategis dalam peningkatan layanan publik di sektor kebandarudaraan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penerapan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) pada Unit Pelayanan Informasi di Bandar Udara Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto Samarinda. Unit Informasi merupakan ujung tombak dalam penyampaian informasi kepada pengguna jasa, sehingga efektivitas penerapan SOP sangat penting untuk menjamin kualitas pelayanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan baha masih terdapat beberapa kendala dalam penerapan SOP, di antaranya letak meja informasi yang kurang strategis dan sulit diakses dari berbagai arah, keterbatasan akses oetugas ke media informasi digital, minimnya pelatihan berkala, beban kerja yang tinggi akibat keterbatasan personel, lemahnya koordinasi antarunit, serta pengawasan SOP yang belum optimal. Penulis merekomendasikan reposisi meja informasi, peningkatan kualitas dan kuantitas personel, pemanfaatan sistem komunikasi internal, pemberian akses informasi digital kepada petugas, serta penguatan sistem oengawasan berbasis digital. Dengan perbaikan tersebut, diharapkan pelayanan unit informasi dapat berjalan efektif, profesional, dan sesuai dengan standar pelayanan pengguna jasa bandar udara.

Abstract

This study aims to design an auxiliary tool called the Innovative Hose Washer Nozzle as a solution for maintaining fire hoses within the Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Study Program at the Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic Curug. The main problem addressed is the manual cleaning of fire hoses, which requires considerable time and effort and may reduce the hose’s lifespan. Using a Research and Development (R&D) method based on a simplified Borg & Gall model comprising six stages, the tool was designed, validated by experts and users, and tested in an operational setting. The test results show that the Innovative Hose Washer Nozzle significantly improves the effectiveness and efficiency of hose cleaning, achieving an 80% cleanliness level, reducing cleaning time to only 5 minutes, and reduced cleaning time to 5 minutes with fewer personnel, achieving 80% cleanliness and 77.5% feasibility score. This innovation contributes to the improvement of safety equipment maintenance, operational readiness, and work efficiency for cadets during both training and emergency operations.
