Abstract

Sorgum (Sorghum bicolor (L). Moench) disebut tanaman multiguna karena bijinya dapat digunakan sebagai sumber pangan, batang dan hijauan daun dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pakan ternak ruminanisa serta air nira batang sebagai sumber bahan energi (bioethanol) dan minuman segar. Namun sorgum bukan tanaman asli Indonesia, oleh sebab itu, keragaman genetik masih terbatas. Upaya untuk peningkatan keragaman genetik dilakukan dengan pemuliaan mutasi. Di Pusat Riset dan Teknologi Proses Radiasi (PRTPR), Organesasi Riset Tenaga Nuklir (ORTN), Badan Riset dan Inovasi  Nasional (BRIN). Penelitian pemuliaan tanaman sorgum manis dengan teknik mutasi induksi menggunakan sinar gamma bersumber dari Cobalt-60 menggunakan dosis 300 Gy bertujuan untuk mendapatkan mutan yang memiliki karakteristik pertumbuhan dan hasil lebih baik dari tanaman asalnya. Sejumlah 9 galur mutan harapan yaitu GH1, GH2, GH3, GH5, GH6, GH7, GH9, GH10 dan GH38 disertakan 3 tanaman pembanding Cty-43 (induk), Samurai 1 dan varietas Numbu (kontrol nasional). Galur-galur mutan tersebut pada musim kemarau 2020 dilakukan penanaman di 2 lokasi yaitu Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta dan di Citayam-Bogor. Metode percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan 3 ulangan. Parameter data dilakukan terdiri dari beberapa karakter agronomi termasuk hasil biji dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA softwere komputer metode SAS versi 9.1. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa galur mutan GH9 menghasilkan biji tertinggi baik di lokasi Gunungkidul (8,37 t/ha) maupun di Bogor (9.87 t/ha), galur GH5 memiliki produksi biomassa tertinggi di Gunungkidul (75,47 t/ha) dan di Bogor (64,41 t/ha) dan GH1 menghasilkan kadar nira tertinggi di Gunungkidul (14.22 %) dan di Bogor (12.53 % brix) berbeda nyata secara uji BNT 5% dibandingkan 3 tanaman kontrol di 2 lokasi berturut-turut hanya memiliki hasil biji 5.41, 5.23, 5.71 t/ha di Gunungkidul dan Bogor 6.22, 7.22, 7.89 t/ha. Biomassa batang di Gunungkidul hanya 51.28, 53.60, 56.62 t/ha dan di Bogor 41.36, 44.40 dan 52.33 t/ha. Kadar air nira batang di Gunungkidul hanya 9.11, 9.62, 11.77 % brix dan di Bogor hanya 8.96, 9.00, 11.32 % brix.

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of problem-based learning (PBL) in improving junior high school students' English speaking ability. A case study of students at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Bandar Lampung showed that students generally had positive perceptions of PBL. They felt that PBL made learning more interesting and encouraged them to participate more actively. The results showed improvements in self-confidence, vocabulary mastery, and ability to interact in English. However, students still faced challenges in terms of grammar and pronunciation mastery. This study concluded that PBL can be an effective approach to improving students' speaking ability, but it needs to be supported by additional activities to overcome existing obstacles.

Abstract

Pengembangan sistem parafrase otomatis dalam bahasa Indonesia semakin relevan seiring dengan meningkatnya kebutuhan aplikasi pemrosesan bahasa alami. Penelitian ini berfokus pada penerapan algoritma IndoT5 (Text-to-Text Transfer Transformer) untuk membangun sistem parafrase otomatis dalam bahasa Indonesia. Sistem ini dievaluasi menggunakan metrik BLEU, ROUGE, dan METEOR untuk mengukur kesamaan antara teks parafrase yang dihasilkan model dengan teks target yang diinginkan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan nilai BLEU sebesar 0,28, ROUGE-1 sebesar 0,59, ROUGE-2 sebesar 0,40, ROUGE-L sebesar 0,55, dan METEOR sebesar 0,50. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model mampu menghasilkan parafrase dengan tingkat kesamaan yang moderat dan mempertahankan makna semantik yang cukup baik.

Abstract

The company has always prioritized cost reduction. In this study, the researchers aimed to decrease maintenance costs by actively eliminating expensive non-value-added processes. The study employed Process and Time Driven Activity Based Costing to integrate cost with the activities performed. By conducting maintenance value stream mapping, the researchers identified various forms of waste, such as centralized maintenance, ineffective data management, poor inventory management, inadequate maintenance, under-utilization of resources, and waiting time for maintenance resources. Several alternative improvement options were proposed, and the Pugh method was used to compare and select the most promising alternatives or combinations of alternatives. The third alternative, which involves conducting internal training and implementing standard operating procedures for maintenance technicians, supervisors, and machine operators, as well as integrating an IT system for maintenance and creating an equipment and spare parts inventory database, was chosen as the highest-ranking option. The results showed that this approach reduced processing time for administrative activities, lowered corrective maintenance costs, and improved maintenance efficiency for both preventive and corrective maintenance.
