Abstract

The purposes of this study are to determine the achievement of learning progress in introducing the letter and reading it by using hijaiyah puppet; determine the outcome of a child's development achievement in introducing the letter and reading hijaiyah by using hijaiyah card, determine differences in learning outcomes recognize letters and read hijaiyah using puppets and hijaiyah card. t-Test result of experimental group is known by the original pretest average value by 8.60 and turned into 11.63, so the experimental group increased by 3.03. t-Test of the control group found that the average value of the original pretest by 8.97 turned into 12.97, so the control group increased by 4.00. There are differences between pretest and posttest, but the difference is shown by the increase in the average value of the control group of children which is smaller than the increase in the experimental group. The conclusions that can be drawn based on the results and discussion revealed that (1) the results of the experimental class study increased with the improvement from the pretest to the posttest, (2) the results of the control group study increased, with the increase from the pretest to the posttest, (3) between the experimental group and the control group is Ho rejected because it has value t count and t table, (4) this shows that there are differences average of post-test results between the experimental group and the control group.

Abstract

Traditional mpa'a tapa gala game was a team game that consist of a playing team and guarding team. Mpa'a tapa gala game was modified to determine the comparison level of results and influence to early childhood children in then gross motor development. This study aims to: (1) Recognite the play and game of mpa’a tapa gala (traditional and modification) toward the gross motoric development of children; (2) Understanding the difference between the results of gross motor development through playing and the game of mpa'a tapa gala (traditional and modification); (3) Knowing the effect of interaction between learning through play and game of mpa'a tapa gala (traditional and modification) on increasing gross motor development. This research method was an experiment with the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample was selected by using daily group assessment observations. This research method is an experiment with the Pretest-Posttest control group design research design. The results of the study show that: (1) There are significant differences in playing and game of mpa’a tapa gala (traditional and modification) to the gross motoric development of children. This case can be seen from the percentage test of experimental and control groups playing without traditional mpa’a tapa gala and modification of the three movements (locomotor, non-locomotor, and manipulative) achieving completeness individuals above 70 untill 100 so that the classical completeness reaches 100%, statistical analysis of the three average movements of tvalue ≤ ttable, and sig 2 (tailed) the third average of movement 0.00 ≤ 0.05; (2). There is a significant difference in gross motoric development through mpa'a tapa gala playing game (traditional and modification); (3) There is a significant influence on the interaction of learning through playing and the game of mpa'a tapa gala (traditional and modification) on the increase in gross motor skills of early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and to describe the planning, organizing, implementing and supervising of the integrative holistic early childhood education garden program at Marsudirini Fioretti Kindergarten. This research used qualitative method and study case approach. The data resources were obtained from the mentors who were the headmaster of the kindergarten, teachers, and parents. The techniques of data collections were observation, interview and documentation. Integrative holistic garden at early childhood education is a program of growth and development services combined to meet the nutritional intake which is in accordance with the stage of age development of the child as an effort to support the independency of institutions and learning laboratories for children. The results of this study are that the planning for the integrative holistic garden at early childhood education is quite good with the preparation of the plantation program, funding and development of sub-activity plans, but organizing part is less effective in the distribution of tasks and setting schedules, for that, the implementation of direction, motivation and coordination needs to be done as well as the preparation for facilities. So that, the integrative holistic garden program could be more effective. The garden supervision from Marsudrini Kindergarten and related government regarding the program has been carried out but there is still a lack of follow-up in the form of guidance that is necessary in the management of garden products for the fulfillment of children's nutrition, supporting the independency of institutions and learning laboratories for children.
