Abstract

Confidence is one of important thing that should be developed from the early years. Having a confidence, encourages us to deal with a risk in the future. The important key about having a confidence in an early years is because the children will be able to finish their task according to development phase, having such a courage to take a risk and get their achievement, trusted by people, growing up in the middle of experienced life, and the most important is, the children will be healthy and become independent.  To develop children’s confidence, singing method by theme based movement can be used. The themes used to apply this method are children themselves, animal and plants.  The method used in this research was Pre Experimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest. The populations of this research were all of the kindergarten students in Ngaliyan and the sample were 30 students of RA Islamic Tunas Bangsa 4. Purposive sampling was used to take the data sample. There were two variables in this study, X was a singing method with theme based movement and Y was children’s confidence. The result of the study showed that the measurement of Paired t-test, between pretest and posttest from the experimental group was tvalue = -12,636 with sig value (2-tailed)< 0,05. Therefore, from hypothesis test we could accept H0 and refused Ha. Before conducting the treatment the mean of pretest score was 7,53 and after the treatment, the posttest score was 12,17. From the result of the mean of posttest improvement; 4,64, and it can be said that the children’s confidence was developed. The conclusion of this study was children’s confidence at RA Islamic Tunas Bangsa 4 Ngaliyan can be developed by this method.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how language development (vocabulary) of child through free and thematic images expression in kindergarten Kemala Bhayangkari 90 Akpol Semarang. This research uses the methods of Research and Development, but more focused on the development of activities to draw. The subject of the research is children aged 5-6 years. Based on the results of this research that is: 1) On free images,  children  already  to  draw in accordance with the wishes and  imagination. The amount of the acquired vocabulary every child through free images increase from the previous image. 2) On thematic images, children are able to receive instructions and start to drawing in accordance with the specified theme. Creativity appear when children add another shape on the thematic images. The amount of the acquired vocabulary every child through free images is fluctuative. 3) In general the free of image tend to have the same characteristics, namely the children love to draw the object people, houses, trees, the sun, the moon, and environment/ place. 4) The results of the free and thematic  images shows that free images, more effective in boosting the development of the language (vocabulary). This is because a free image more gives children the opportunity to draw according to the wishes and stories presented are also more free and expressive.

Abstract

The number of child abuse cases in Indonesia is increasing every year. The perpetrators of child abuse are mostly the parents. It is important to understand various types of domestic violence because home is children’s first environment where they learn many things. Besides that, home is a safe place for children, with parents as the main actor who guards them. The limited facility that can be used as information source of what should be done by parents in parenting and educating children is alarming. Therefore, research to identify and to analyse parents’ understanding about domestic violence is needed. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative method in which researchers analyse further about parents’ perception about child abuse. The result from 3 participants of this research is that child abuse still exists and is done intentionally by parents with different educational and economic background.

Abstract

Autism is a neurological disorder that occurs due to birth defects and abnormalities that arise during the age of a toddler, abnormal development that is marked by disruption of communication, social interaction, and behavior. One effort to minimize the disorder that occurs in children with autism is therapy, one of them is diet therapy for autistic children. The diet that is often done in children with autism is GFCF (Gluten Free Casein Free). This study aims to explain the social interactions in autistic children who do diet therapy and those who do not take diet therapy at the Talenta KB-TK (Playgroup-Kindergarten) Semarang. This research uses the qualitative method. The main subject of this study is two autistic children who applied diet therapy and two autistic children who do not apply diet therapy. The data collection uses the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data is analyzed, and then the data is presented by drawing conclusions about the meaning of the data that has been collected. The results of this study indicate the difference of the social interaction of autistic children who apply the diet and who do not. The social interactions of autistic children who apply diet therapy at KB-TK Talenta Semarang are the existence of eye contact, flat facial expressions when invited to communicate, using body language when communicating, turning when called with voice or touch after several time yet no initiative to speak, joining friends yet no interaction, understanding the daily commands correctly. In the opposite, the social interactions of autistic children who do not apply the diet therapy are little eye contacts, flat face expression, using body language in communicating, inconsistent respond to a calling, one can speak while other only say few words, disengage with friends, understanding the commands yet not right.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan hasil pencapaian perkembangan belajar dalam mengenalkan huruf dan membaca menggunakan model wayang hijaiyah. Menentukan hasil pencapaian perkembangan anak dalam mengenalkan huruf dan membaca hijaiyah menggunakan kartu hijaiyah. Menentukan perbedaan hasil belajar mengenal huruf dan membaca hijaiyah menggunakan wayang dan kartu hijaiyah. Hasil uji t kelompok eksperimen diketahui nilai rata-rata pretest mengenal huruf kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan. Nilai rata-rata pretes membaca hijaiyah kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan. Hasil uji t kelompok kontrol mengenal huruf kelompok kontrol mengalami peningkatan. Hasil membaca hijaiyah diperoleh bahwa nilai rata-rata pretes kelompok kontrol mengalami peningkatan sebesar. Terdapat perbedaan antara pretes dan postes, namun perbedaan tersebut ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan nilai rata-rata kelompok anak kontrol lebih kecil dari peningkatan kelompok eksperimen. Simpulan yang dapat diambil berdasarkan pada hasil dan pembahasan dinyatakan bahwa: (1) hasil pembelajaran anak dalam mengenal huruf hijaiyah lebih tinggi menggunakan model wayang hijaiyah di bandingkan kartu, (2) hasil pembelajaran anak dalam membaca lebih tinggi menggunakan model wayang di bandingkan dengan kartu, (3) ada perbedaan pembelajaran dalam mengenal huruf menggunakan model wayang dan kartu, (4) tidak ada perbedaan pembelajaran dalam membaca hijaiyah antara model wayang hijaiyah dan kartu hijaiyah.The purposes of this study are to determine the achievement of learning progress in introducing the letter and reading it by using hijaiyah puppet; determine the outcome of a child's development achievement in introducing the letter and reading hijaiyah by using hijaiyah card, determine differences in learning outcomes recognize letters and read hijaiyah using puppets and hijaiyah card. t-Test result of experimental group is known by the original pretest average value by 8.60 and turned into 11.63, so the experimental group increased by 3.03. t-Test of the control group found that the average value of the original pretest by 8.97 turned into 12.97, so the control group increased by 4.00. There are differences between pretest and posttest, but the difference is shown by the increase in the average value of the control group of children which is smaller than the increase in the experimental group. The conclusions that can be drawn based on the results and discussion revealed that (1) the results of the experimental class study increased with the improvement from the pretest to the posttest, (2) the results of the control group study increased, with the increase from the pretest to the posttest, (3) between the experimental group and the control group is Ho rejected because it has value t count and t table, (4) this shows that there are differences average of post-test results between the experimental group and the control group.

Abstract

Traditional mpa'a tapa gala game was a team game that consist of a playing team and guarding team. Mpa'a tapa gala game was modified to determine the comparison level of results and influence to early childhood children in then gross motor development. This study aims to: (1) Recognite the play and game of mpa’a tapa gala (traditional and modification) toward the gross motoric development of children; (2) Understanding the difference between the results of gross motor development through playing and the game of mpa'a tapa gala (traditional and modification); (3) Knowing the effect of interaction between learning through play and game of mpa'a tapa gala (traditional and modification) on increasing gross motor development. This research method was an experiment with the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample was selected by using daily group assessment observations. This research method is an experiment with the Pretest-Posttest control group design research design. The results of the study show that: (1) There are significant differences in playing and game of mpa’a tapa gala (traditional and modification) to the gross motoric development of children. This case can be seen from the percentage test of experimental and control groups playing without traditional mpa’a tapa gala and modification of the three movements (locomotor, non-locomotor, and manipulative) achieving completeness individuals above 70 untill 100 so that the classical completeness reaches 100%, statistical analysis of the three average movements of tvalue ≤ ttable, and sig 2 (tailed) the third average of movement 0.00 ≤ 0.05; (2). There is a significant difference in gross motoric development through mpa'a tapa gala playing game (traditional and modification); (3) There is a significant influence on the interaction of learning through playing and the game of mpa'a tapa gala (traditional and modification) on the increase in gross motor skills of early childhood.

Abstract

This research aims to study and analyze parents’ involvement at school in the Early Childhood Education program. This research was conducted in Bintang Juara Early Childhood Education. The data were obtained from the principal, class teachers, parents, and related documents. This research applied a qualitative approach case study design. The result showed that first, there are various forms of parental involvement in Early Childhood Education. Second, there are positive results of parents’ involvement towards children, parents, teachers, and school programs, such as facilitating the access of school marketing, enhancing children learning, increasing parents’ learning motivation, supporting program achievement, becoming knowledge and information sharing a place, tightening the family relationship. Third, there are supporting and inhibiting factors affecting parents’ involvement, namely internal factor (readiness, parents’ personality, school, and children) and external factor (social, politic, and economic). Fourth, there are effective efforts to support parental involvement in Early Childhood Education programs such as effective and proactive communication, providing suitable time, and creating a friendly environment. These results become the reflection and evaluation subject to school concerning the progress of implemented programs. For parents, they gain a comprehensive image of school partnership parenting education to attain optimum child’s development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and to describe the planning, organizing, implementing and supervising of the integrative holistic early childhood education garden program at Marsudirini Fioretti Kindergarten. This research used qualitative method and study case approach. The data resources were obtained from the mentors who were the headmaster of the kindergarten, teachers, and parents. The techniques of data collections were observation, interview and documentation. Integrative holistic garden at early childhood education is a program of growth and development services combined to meet the nutritional intake which is in accordance with the stage of age development of the child as an effort to support the independency of institutions and learning laboratories for children. The results of this study are that the planning for the integrative holistic garden at early childhood education is quite good with the preparation of the plantation program, funding and development of sub-activity plans, but organizing part is less effective in the distribution of tasks and setting schedules, for that, the implementation of direction, motivation and coordination needs to be done as well as the preparation for facilities. So that, the integrative holistic garden program could be more effective. The garden supervision from Marsudrini Kindergarten and related government regarding the program has been carried out but there is still a lack of follow-up in the form of guidance that is necessary in the management of garden products for the fulfillment of children's nutrition, supporting the independency of institutions and learning laboratories for children.

Abstract

The purpose for this research is to acknowledge the daycares that use integrative holistic in Banyumas Regency. Based on Lumbung Data Pokok Pendidikan Jawa Tengah 2018, there were 16 institut of daycares spread in 23 subdistricts. That mean that the amount of daycares in Banyumas is still lacking, and the quality is still unknown. That is why this research was made simply to acknowledge the quality of daycares with Integrative Holistic in Banyumas. This research took place in Banyumas with the head of the daycare as the subject. The method used is survey method. The researcher used the Saturation Sampling means that the entire daycares in Banyumas which included into the main educational data in Jawa Tengah used questionnaires and interviews as the submition method. Based on the questionnaire result and also several interviews, found out that 14 daycares are at the state of high criteria and 1 daycare is at the state of middle criteria. The average score from 14 daycares is 80,8% which is outomatically included into high criteria. Sekar Kemuning Daycare is included into meddle class because there are no structured teaching learning process, children?s development result, and no parenting with anyeducational institution. Meanwhile for the 14 daycares that are included into high criteria have been using Integrative Holistic apporoachment for their educational service, health care, nutrients and service, protection service, taking care service. The quality of the daycares that have been using Integratif Holistic approachment in Banyumas Regency could be seen from the serrices to the children. The relation between the daycare and the educational institution has become the main indicator. In acknowlegging the quality of daycares with Integrative Holistic approachment in Banyumas Regency. Other institution that are Puskesmas, dental clinic, Posyandu, Himpaudi, and also educational department. Aside from the institution partnership above, it also cooperated with dance academy, police department, public figure, citizenship department, psychologist, baby spa, Du?afa wallet, and Society?s Self-supporting Institution.

Abstract

Playing is a fun activity for children and is an easy way for a child?s brain to form new memories. Playing is related to toys. Children?s toys selection is dominated by the parents? will or vice versa that is based on the wishes of children without any attempt by parents in directing the appropriate tools for the child. This study aims to find out the efforts made by parents. The next objective is to find out the parents? understanding of the purpose of toys that are suitable for children aged 3-4 years. Knowing the considerations made by parents as an effort to choose toys that are suitable for children aged 3-4 years in Kebumen Village, is the third goal of this study. The research method is qualitative research with the research subject is parents of 3-4 years old children, their children, and educators in Kebumen Village. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis methods are through the process of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification of data and conclusion. Based on the research, the results show that the parents? understanding about the purpose of the toys is as stimulation of child development. Parents? efforts consist of children?s desires/interests and discussions with children. Those efforts are carried out mostly by parents. Considerations made by parents as part of the effort to choose children?s toys are more inclined to the price of toys than the function and purpose of education that is suitable for children aged 3-4 years. In addition, the colors and materials and labels of children?s toys by most parents are not much considered.
