Abstract

Maintaining security and the environment is a shared responsibility as citizens. One of the most important parts in maintaining security and the environment is the participation of the community. In this case the form of community participation to protect the environment is manifested in the form of a security and environmental system, one of the community's efforts to maintain security and the surrounding environment is to carry out patrols or siskamling activities. Meanwhile, the rapid development of technology forces us to keep up with these technological developments, especially in the world of information and communication technology. Technology plays an important role in the modern era as it is today, one of the technologies currently developing is Augmented Reality (AR). AR is a technology that combines virtual objects both 2D and 3D into a real environment and then projects these virtual objects in real time. Utilization of AR is done by implementing it on a system with the aim of combining virtual objects with real objects. Based on an interview with the security chief in question, it was not easy for officers to coordinate with each other with the Handy Talky (HT) communication tool, the coordination between officers was quite complicated because other officers and the field coordinator could not visually blend in with only the HT. Given these problems, this research implements Augmented Reality Location Based using the Navigation Coordinate System which is a coordinate system mapped from GPS points which will then become the coordinate points on the smartphone screen camera display. By implementing this Location Based Augmented Reality in an application with the Android platform, the Security and Security Service officers can visually unite other officers on their smartphone screens. In this study, usability testing was also carried out using the System Usability Scale method, with an average result of 77.25 which can show Augmented Reality applications that are easy to use by Security and Security Officers.

Abstract

One of the problems faced by rice farmers is crop failure due to diseases that spread without the knowledge of farmers. This situation can cause losses to farmers and reduce the supply of rice in Indonesia. This study aims to develop rice disease detection application using an Android smartphone. This study also aims to compare the quality of Android camera affects image detection. Detection is done by taking pictures, and the application will automatically detect the name of the disease and how to handle it. This app is developed using SDLC Waterfall, the Android operating system, and Tensorflow Lite. This research was conducted in 4 stages, namely data collection, model training, system implementation, and testing and analysis. Data collection is done by taking public data from Kaggle. The model training phase is carried out by training the models using Teachable Machine. System implementation is done by making applications. Finally, the testing and analysis phase are to test the application based on specified scenario and analyze the results of the test. The results of this study are expected to be able to help rice farmers quickly detect rice diseases that are starting to spread, so that diseases can be overcome early.

Abstract

The merdeka-filkom website portal, which is a website aims to be a forum for students to share their experiences of Independent Learning activities, and as an information center for Independent Learning activities at the Merdeka Campus at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya. Limited working time and personnel, so that the provision of information becomes slow and reduces the user experience on the website portal. To overcome these problems, building a robot in the form of a chat service to make it easier for users to find information and stakeholders of the Merdeka-Filkom website in conveying information on the Merdeka-Filkom Website Portal using HubSpot will greatly facilitate users and application developers. The design is carried out using the Human-Centered Design method and then evaluates the design with usability testing with an effectiveness level of 99% and an efficiency of 95%, also tests the usability scale system to measure the level of user satisfaction with a score of 79.4 with an adjective rating of good.

Abstract

Cooking is a process of creating a food by following the steps in sequence. Based on a survey conducted on 82 students of the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya, it was found that 86.6 percent of respondents had faced problems when cooking related to ingredients and seasonings, recipes, level of maturity, cooking methods, cooking time, dosage, determining the menu, and the results obtained not as expected. 96.3 percent of respondents feel they will be helped in overcoming problems related to cooking with an application that provides recipes. Several recipe applications have been developed, but none are specifically for students, where the recipes are practical and simple with easily available ingredients. Therefore, an application for guides and recipes was developed for students. The application was developed using SDLC Prototyping, Kotlin programming language, Firebase as data storage, with MVVM architecture. Applications are tested using black box testing, and usability testing. In black box testing, the success rate is 100%. In usability testing, the effectiveness level is 100%, and in SUS, the value is 85.5, which means the application can be accepted by the user.

Abstract

CV Omega Art is a private company engaged in the sale, manufacture and installation of interior and exterior goods. In the company's development amid the rapid development of information technology, companies began to feel the need to develop access to company products and information that can be reached easily and more widely by customers. Through interviews with Business Owners, it was found that companies need an information system that can be used by customers to order products and display product information owned by the company. The company feels the need to display the official website as a form of company professionalism. Based on these needs, an interior and exterior goods ordering management system was developed that can help companies display the company's website, display the company's products, process product orders and attract customers to view and order products. The prototyping model is used to collect certain information about the information needs of users quickly. Users can use prototypes to screen and evaluate requirements. The application design is made with an object-oriented approach using the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern. System implementation is done using the Laravel framework. Then, the developed system was tested using the Basis Path Testing method, validation testing, and Compatibility Testing. The results showed that the web-based interior and exterior goods ordering management system could accommodate the company's needs. The prototyping method is quite suitable to cover all requirements.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) play a very important role in terms of Indonesia's economic development. However, along with the rapid advancement of technology nowadays, there are still many UMKM players who have not yet utilized these technological advances. To develop the ability to record sales transactions, CV Cokelat Turqy (Ziyadatur Rizqy) has an urgency to need a good sales invoice generation application user interface design. Therefore, in this thesis project, a sales invoicing application user interface design is built that can help fulfill this urgency. The user interface prototype was designed using the Prototyping Model also using the System Usability Scale (SUS) as a parameter to measure the level of user satisfaction and the online test tool to measure the responsiveness of the prototype. Before testing, the task scenario is determined first as a guide for respondents in conducting the test. The results of testing the satisfaction level factor show that the resulting prototype has fallen into the category of good products. The results of testing the responsiveness level factor of the prototype on three different tablet device screen resolutions show that the resulting prototype is included in the responsive prototype.

Abstract

Losing goods such as being negligent in guarding goods can result in the emergence of a criminal act, namely embezzlement of goods. Embezzlement of goods is a case that the goods from the owner are already in the hands of the perpetrator without the perpetrator committing a crime. Based on criminal statistics for 2021, there were 37,097 crimes related to fraud, embezzlement, and corruption in 2020. The researcher also got direct information from UB Security who said that cases of lost goods are not uncommon in UB's campus environment. In addition, information dissemination of missing items has not been implemented in UB. Therefore, we need a solution in the form of a system that can provide information about the incident of lost goods. The development of the PWA Lost and Found UB website uses the Prototyping development method using several tests, namely validation testing using Black-box Testing, usability testing (effectiveness) using Scenario Testing, and usability testing (satisfaction) using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The test results show that the functional requirements run well and users can perform all testing scenarios properly and have an effectiveness level of 100% for each user. The SUS score obtained was 83 which illustrates several points in SUS, namely the Grade Scale with a value of B, an Adjective Rating with an Excellent value, and the Acceptability Range with an Acceptable value.

Abstract

There are still many manual attendance systems found in companies that exist today, including PT.Bintang Mas Glassolutions which still uses a presence system that is quite behind in terms of technology that has developed, namely by using initial presence on a paper. The obstacles that still occur in the use of attendance above are the impractical process of employee attendance that has to walk to another room and less practical in terms of searching data when the company will see the performance of employees with the attendance system. Based on these problems, an android-based online presence system was created using location coordinate validation and selfie photos at PT. Bintang Mas Glassolutions. In the needs analysis stage in this study produced 12 functional requirements, and 2 non-functional requirements, and 2 actors who will use the system, namely admin and employees. After getting the results of the needs analysis, then make a design for the system with reference to the results of the needs analysis obtained. In the architectural design of the system is described by making system architecture drawings, algorithm design with flowcharts and pseudocode, system design with activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, and class diagrams, database design with tables of the system database structure to be built, and interface design is described in mockup form. This study uses the waterfall development method, uses the Flutter framework, and the dart programming language at the implementation stage. System testing using Blackbox Testing with 100% valid results, usability testing using SUS with a final score of 84.25 grade A, and compatibility testing by installing the application to several devices with different Android versions with 100% valid results.

Abstract

Batu is a city located in the Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Brantas. This is a main problem for the Batu City Environmental Service (DLH) because the water quality index in Batu is classified as mildly polluted. Monitoring of water quality and pollution load must be carried out as one of the efforts to control pollution, this refers to the Decree of the Minister of Environment Numbers 110 and 115 concerning Determination of Pollution Load Capacity and Determination of Water Quality Status. DLH Batu conducts water quality data collection manually and separately each period. Thus, there is a risk of data loss and difficulty of analysis. The researcher offered a solution by utilizing technology to help monitoring the quality and quantity of river water quickly and precisely in the form of mobile applications that used the Flutter framework. In this study, the model used was Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Prototyping and there were 3 system tests performed, validation testing using black box and usability using a system usability scale. The main users of this application are DLH employees in Batu and the citizens can also access the application to view reports only. The test results obtained showed that the validation test results were 100% successful, while the usability test obtained a result of 93 and was included in the acceptable predicate.

Abstract

Sexual education is still often considered taboo by most Indonesian people. A survey conducted by Durex Indonesia shows that 84 percent of Indonesian teenagers have not received sexual education. In fact, it is very essential for sex education to be taught to teenagers, especially when they are entering adolescence. A sexual education application named "Edusex" was developed in this study using the prototyping development method. This application provides learning materials as well as quizzes that can be done to help teenagers understand the material. Apart from that, there is also a discussion forum and personal consultation feature with psychologists. Teenagers can use these features to consult regarding sexual problems they are encountering. The type of developed application is a progressive web app that allows users to access the application using various types of devices and has several mobile app functionalities. There are four types of testing, namely functional testing, compatibility, usability, and application usage impact testing. In functional testing, the result obtained is 100% valid for all functional requirements. The result of compatibility testing shows that the website can be accessed on most browsers that are commonly used. The application has also been able to be used properly by the users based on the usability test. Based on the application usage impact test, the Edusex application has increased the users' sexual knowledge.
