Abstract

Paratransit in Malang has its own irregular characteristics, same as in other cities in the world. It is tough to recognize the exact operational time, availability, and estimated travel time when using paratransit. The information about paratransit can be only obtained by making predictions due to its irregular characteristics. This research examined the importance of a system that can collect paratransit travel data as a basis for making predictions. Therefore, this research proposes the design of a paratransit travel data collection system by utilizing smartphone GPS and REST web service. To determine the position of the paratransit, the researchers used the concept of circle-based geofencing which is called pseudo-stop. The initial results obtained from the experiment indicated the influence of tracking intervals and radius of pseudo-stop on effectiveness and efficiency of the system. The shorter the tracking interval, the higher the tendency of the pseudo-stop radius value to decrease, resulting in decreased effectiveness and increased efficiency. Otherwise, the wider the tracking interval, the higher the tendency of the pseudo-stop radius value to be greater, resulting in increased effectiveness and decreased efficiency. In spite of periodically accessing location providers, the energy usage is quite low.

Abstract

Health services are one of the important factors for hospitals. Good and bad services provided will affect the image of the hospital itself. Increased activity in a hospital with limited service facilities will result in queues at the outpatient unit. This happened in Gatoel Mojokerto Hospital. Based on survey that has been conducted, there are 80% of hospital visitors who experience a long queue when registering conventionally and 56% have difficulty receiving information on the doctor's practice schedule. Thus, 94% of patients require an online registration application. The purpose of this study is to make an online registration application to solve patient problems. This research uses waterfall method. In requirement analysis there are 11 functional and 2 non-functional requirements. At the design step, includes the design of use case diagrams, use case scenarios, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, pseudocode, class diagrams, databases, and interfaces. Then at the implementation step, it produces a database implementation and 12 interface. In the testing step, it is 100% valid on black-box and compatibility. The usability test using SUS resulted in a score of 100 for the admin which was classified as grade A with best imaginable adjective ratings and a score of 88.12 for patients who were classified as grade B with adjective ratings excellent.

Abstract

Gaya belajar berperan penting dalam sistem pembelajaran adaptif. dengan memahami gaya belajar yang beragam, sistem ini dapat memberikan rekomendasi atas gaya belajar peserta didik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisa pengembangan desain solusi dasbor learning sebagai input pada model personalized learning. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Human-centered Design (HCD) dengan mengintegrasikan kebutuhan-kebutuhan pengembangan lingkungan belajar yang adaptif terhadap gaya belajar peserta didik. Rancangan dasbor Learning Analytics (Learning Analytics Dashboard – LAD) menghasilkan kebutuhan-kebutuhan fungsional sebuah sebagai dasar pengumpulan data yang digunakan untuk input personalisasi pembelajaran (Personalized Learning) sesuai gaya belajar mahasiswa. Kebutuhan-kebutuhan tersebut meliputi Fungsi Login, Akses daftar materi, Membuka detail materi, Evaluasi materi, Rangkuman aktivitas dan Logout. Untuk menunjang kebutuhan-kebutuhan yang mendukung pengguna sistem mencapai tujuannya, dihasilkan kebutuhan-kebutuhan non-fungsional yang meliputi penentuan platform sistem berbasis web, tampilan yang responsif, tata-letak dan kerangka desain rapi dan konsisten, pemilihan fontasi yang lugas dan tidak bermotif dengan ukuran proporsional, serta pemilihan warna yang netral dan lembut

Abstract

In App Purchase System is one of Google Play's features that allows developers to sell additional contents on applications that available on Google Play. But the In App Purchase System has its shortcomings, it can be hacked by VirtualSwindler system. LuckyPatcher is an example of VirtualSwindler system that able to manipulate signature verification process and save unauthentic purchase data into the local device system. The combination of 3 security methods, Server Side Verification, Verification Bypass Detection, dan Obfuscator, successfuly secure the In App Purchase system of a Weather Information App from the attacks of LuckyPatcher with 100% of accuracies . Verification Bypass Detection will determine wether the verification process is authentic or not. Server Side Verification will check the authenticity of saved purchase data without the worries of being manipulated by the compromised In App Purchase system. Obsfucator can keep the saved data secure from unauthentic modifications.

Abstract

Brawijaya University has no less than 44 Student Activity Units, but those 44 units still do not have publication facilities that complement, especially the Student Activity Unit of Merpati Putih. After the researcher conducted a survey to the Student Activity Unit of Merpati Putih of Brawijaya university, currently it only has a blog with a free domain, a very simple and less attractive appearance, and there were some features perceived less by the board and members, Therefore, it needs another means to obtain information about the Student Activity Units that can be freely or cheaply accessed anytime and anywhere. In this case, a website became a very appropriate solution to be realized in solving this problem. UCD is an acknowledged method of effectiveness and efficiency, so it is very appropriate to apply in designing websites of Student Activity Unit. From the application of these methods, the obtained test results on prospective visitors with the level of both effectiveness and efficiency got a value of 100%, the level of user satisfaction got a value of 80%, and usability rate got a value of 93.3%. More over, the results of this study tested to prospective administrators got 100% for the value of effectiveness and efficiency, 90% for the value of satisfaction, and 96.7% for the usability testing of prospective administrators.

Abstract

In the application development of mobile devices must pay attention to the efficiency in terms of resource usage, in addition mobile device applications are very sensitive to delay. One of the factors that can cause delay is the process done on the web service. The speed of the process in the web service depends on the programming language used, the programming language can also affect the use of CPU (Central Processing Unit) and memory on the server. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the performance of web service to know the difference of CPU usage (Central Processing Unit), memory, and speed of execution of programming language used in web service. In this research, programming languages used are Python, PHP and Perl using CGI (Common Gateway Interface) on Apache web server accessed via mobile device with Android platform. After the experiment, it was found that Perl programming language has the fastest execution speed while the Python programming language has CPU usage (Central Processing Unit) and the least memory..

Abstract

Web FILKOM APPS for students is a medium of information that helps FILKOM students to meet the needs of study, especially for students who do thesis. So far the web has not been evaluated, therefore it is necessary to evaluate the usability of web FILKOM APPS for students, to find out the problems faced by the web, The purpose of this research is to know comparison of evaluation result between heuristic evaluation and think aloud method, Which is expected from the results of this study can provide information to web developers, To improve usability and functionality of existing features. Heuristic evaluation is an evaluation method done by HCI alhi to show usability problem, Whereas the think aloud method is a method of usability evaluation performed by users to be consulted, and expressing their feelings and thoughts when interacting with the interface product. From the evaluation results, for heuristic evaluation methods HCI experts found usability problems related to common interface and some menus that still can not function properly, as well as inconsistent languages. As for the method think aloud users find usability problems such as constraints faced when performing an action / task and problems related to the interface display, the menus are not working properly, and language is not consistent.

Abstract

User experience is gained by the consumers through the participation and involvement when using the appications. It has a possibility to be captured more strongly than consumers experience from conventional media. The aim of this research is to determine whether there is influence of user experience on brand image, the influence's level of user experience on the brand image, and also the influence of user experience on the brand image. This research used two methods, there are De Angeli method which used seven dimensions for measuring the user experience and also Keller method which used three dimensions for measuring the brand image. The data source used in this study was a primary data which derived from quitionnaire. Based on the data analysis, it is known that the user experience on the ride sharing application had no effect toward the brand image of ride sharing application, then the high correlation level of user experience towards the brand image explained that the user experience was able to influence on the brand image. The user experience of Android users had an effect amount 29.40% and 52.10% for iOS users on the brand image.

Abstract

Ice Ah is a small business established since 11 April 2016 in Malang City. As a small business it is a very logic thinking that a business want to immediately attract people attention as a customer, because a business is vulnerable in their first year with a limited resource and competition with another business. For that reason the marketing ability become a necessary factor in a business growth, especially with a small business that make use of small scale customer. To improve the marketing ability in a business, a system that can do marketing functionality and targeting an area with a vary scale and also adjusting to customer location is needed. In this research the marketing system made there on application using geofence methodology with the information delivered as notification. Based on the test which have been done, all of the geofence marketing system functionality can work well with corresponding requirement which have been made, and having user experience value based on 6 scale with the value of Attractiveness 1.45, Perspicuity 1.725, Efficiency 1.4, Dependability 1.275, Stimulation 1.4375 and Novelty 1.0125. based on the benchmarking test with 246 other product generated a 6 scale comparison result with value of Attractiveness is above average, Perspicuity is good, Efficiency is above average, Dependability is above average, Stimulation is good and Novelty is above average.

Abstract

Parking lot is one of many facilities owned by all faculties in Brawijaya University. But, usually the available parking space is full at certain times. So, the students usually have to search for the empty parking slots by them selves. Currently in Universitas Brawijaya there is no application that can provide information about the parking lot that still has empty space. This research aims to make a mobile device application to provide recommendation of parking lot which still have empty space. This application uses longitude and Latitude of Google API fiture and tested using blackbox method. From the validation tests performed, the features in the application work well with a 100% percentage. Beside validation testing, there also performed quisionaire tests and field tests which results are considered as good. For each question, there is 20% rate for very good, 60% for good, and 20% for fair on average. This application can be used to help users, both students and parking officers to conduct business processes in the parking lot of Universitas Brawijaya.
