Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence and simultaneous relationship between electricity consumption and economic inequality in Indonesia. This study uses time series data for the country of Indonesia for the period 2000-2023 sourced from the BPS. This research method uses simultaneous equations with the 2SLS (Two-Stage Least Square) approach as its best method with more consistent results and lower standard errors compared to the 3SLS model. The results of this study indicate that in the first stage of estimation, economic inequality and energy investment have a negative effect on electricity consumption in Indonesia. Electrification has a positive effect on electricity consumption in Indonesia. However, household electricity sales do not affect electricity consumption in Indonesia. In the second stage of estimation, electricity consumption and unemployment rates have a negative effect on economic inequality in Indonesia. Furthermore, economic growth has a positive effect on economic inequality in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

Family resilience plays a crucial role in achieving social welfare and supporting Indonesia’s Vision 2045, particularly in urban areas such as Pekanbaru, where families face complex economic and demographic challenges. However, low levels of financial literacy and the absence of structured family mapping remain major barriers to strengthening household economic resilience. This community engagement program aims to improve financial literacy, enhance families’ capacity in managing economic resources, and identify internal household potentials through a family mapping approach. The methods employed include educational workshops, community discussions, and practical simulation activities. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of financial recording, household budgeting, and the identification of family assets and economic opportunities. Participants also demonstrated greater motivation to develop home-based enterprises and improve household financial management. The program further strengthened social networks among families, functioning as essential social capital for long-term resilience. These findings confirm that integrating financial literacy and family mapping is an effective strategy for enhancing sustainable family resilience in alignment with Indonesia’s Vision 2045.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effects of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), trade openness, and corruption control on economic growth in the ASEAN-6 region, which includes Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Cambodia. Annual data for the period 2009–2023 obtained from the World Bank were analyzed using panel data regression. The results indicate that FDI has a positive effect on economic growth, highlighting the important role of foreign investment in stimulating regional economic activity. In contrast, trade openness has a negative effect on economic growth, suggesting that trade liberalization has not yet generated optimal outcomes. Meanwhile, corruption control does not have a significant effect on economic growth. These findings emphasize the importance of more adaptive investment and trade policies to enhance the economic competitiveness of the ASEAN-6 region.

Abstract

This study examines the simultaneous relationship between GDP and exports in Asian countries and investigates the roles of FDI, inflation, CO₂ emissions, and exchange rates within the economic system. This topic is important because GDP and exports are key indicators of development that interact closely in an increasingly integrated global economy. The study employs panel data from selected Asian countries and applies the 3SLS method to address endogeneity and simultaneity problems. The results indicate that exports have a positive and significant effect on GDP, while GDP also positively influences exports. FDI, inflation, and CO₂ emissions positively affect GDP, whereas inflation and exchange rates positively influence exports. These findings confirm the existence of a reciprocal relationship between GDP and exports, supported by macroeconomic stability, investment expansion, and international trade competitiveness, providing important implications.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF), employed population, average years of schooling, and internet use on economic growth in Pesisir Selatan Regency during the 2010–2025 period based on Solow growth theory. This study uses time series data obtained from BPS Pesisir Selatan Regency, BPS West Sumatra Province, and BPS Indonesia. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression. The results show that GFCF, employed population, average years of schooling, and internet use simultaneously have a significant effect on economic growth. Partially, GFCF has a positive but insignificant effect, while employed population and average years of schooling have positive and significant effects. Internet use has a negative and significant effect on economic growth. These findings emphasize the importance of improving human resource quality through education and strengthening digital literacy so that the internet can be used productively to support regional economic development.
