Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the thematic learning process for class V at SDN 82 Tokinjong and what is the role of the teacher when teaching, and finally, what motivation does the teacher give to students, this research is qualitative in nature, data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and the research subject was a class V teacher as well as the principal at SDN 82 Tokinjong. Data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, and data presentation, as well as drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that: The teacher's role in the thematic subjects of SBDP content plays a role in making lesson plans, methods, evaluation of learning, but there are several other teacher roles such as motivators, mediators, and evaluators in the thematic learning process that have not been implemented too much so that it has not been implemented efficiently and effectively, in terms of motivating the teacher is still not very motivating students, this can be seen when before the teacher starts the thematic learning process of SBDP content the teacher immediately applies the lecture method and does not provide motivation or in the form of support, the teacher also has not implemented an open attitude to some of his students during the learning process took place, and also the teacher had not implemented some of his roles in motivating his students to be more active during the SBDP thematic learning process that was taking place.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using nearpod learning media in terms of students' interest in learning mathematics. The population and samples of this study were grade XI students. The type of research used in this study is pre-experimental research with a One group Pretest-Post test design with a quantitative approach. This research was conducted at MAN 2 Sinjai. The sample of this study amounted to 23 people using purposive sampling technique. The data collection methods used were observation and questionnaire of interest in learning mathematics. The data analysis technique used was descriptive test, data normality test, homogeneity test, N Gain test and hypothesis testing using paired sample t-test. The results of this study showed that nearpod learning media proved effective in terms of students' interest in learning mathematics. It can be seen from the results of descriptive analysis obtained that < or 45.17 < 72.91, meaning that the average interest in learning mathematics after nearpod media treatment is greater than before nearpod media treatment. In addition, the results of the hypothesis test using the paired sample t-test obtained a sig value of 0.001. The significance value is smaller than 0.05 or 0.001 <0.05. Thus, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. From these results it can be concluded that the nearpod learning media is effective in terms of interest in learning mathematics of grade XI students at MAN 2 Sinjai.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ mathematical problem-solving processes in the topic of linear equations in two variables (SPLDV) based on auditory information processing. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through problem-solving tests and in-depth interviews. The research subjects were selected based on their dominant auditory learning style. The findings reveal that students with auditory tendencies undergo a systematic information-processing sequence, beginning with understanding the problem through reading aloud, organizing information, planning strategies, and evaluating the results. Verbal activities such as self-talk and verbal repetition help maintain focus, strengthen memory, and enhance conceptual understanding of SPLDV procedures. Furthermore, students demonstrate cognitive flexibility by applying various solution methods, reflecting their reflective and metacognitive abilities. Overall, the study confirms that auditory information processing plays an essential role in improving mathematical problem-solving skills. Therefore, teachers are encouraged to integrate auditory based learning strategies, such as verbal explanations, discussions, and reflective speaking to support students’ comprehension and strengthen their metacognitive and numerical literacy skills in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the current state of digital literacy, digital ethics, and the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by students of Universitas Islam Ahmad Dahlan Sinjai. Amid the rapid development of AI technologies such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and similar tools, students are required not only to be proficient in accessing digital information but also to understand the ethical implications of using such technologies. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and observations involving 11 students from three faculties. The findings reveal that most students have utilized AI for academic tasks; however, their level of digital literacy varies, particularly in critical and ethical aspects. The study also found instances of digital ethical violations such as AI-based plagiarism and academic data manipulation. These findings emphasize the urgent need to strengthen digital literacy and ethics education within the university environment

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze several mathematical concepts contained in traditional games and traditional foods of the Bugis tribe in Bone Regency. This research is an exploratory-descriptive study with an ethnographic approach. The instrument used in this study is a human instrument, where the researcher is directly related to the research and acts as a data collector. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use an interactive model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that traditional games such as mabbelle, mangngasing, mabendi bendi, mappadekko, and Mappasajang, and traditional foods such as doko doko cangkuli, barongko, and Putri sallang contain mathematical concepts consisting of flat and solid shapes such as squares, rectangles, kites, circles, pyramids, primes, and cubes. These mathematical concepts have relevance to mathematical concepts at elementary and secondary school levels in geometry material. Therefore, traditional games and traditional foods are used as a medium for learning mathematics in schools, especially elementary and secondary schools, so that learning is more innovative and meaningful and as a source of evaluation in learning mathematics related to local culture in the area.
