Abstract

Thematic learning is integrated learning that uses themes to link several subjects so that they can provide meaningful experiences to students. Because literary works contain elements of education and teaching, readers, including teachers, can use literature as inspiration in developing appropriate learning models and strategies for their students. One example of literary works that can be used as inspiration by teachers, especially elementary school teachers, is a literary work in the form of a novel entitled Madogiwa no Totto-chan. This novel tells the story of a school that has shaped its students to be good and successful children in the future because it implements a natural learning system that provides direct learning experiences for its students.

Abstract

Abstract Furoshiki is one of the traditional Japanese culture which means the use of eco-friendly traditional cloth as wrapping. In everyday life, furoshiki are used to wrap things. In the era of globalization, furoshiki is useful to reduce the use of plastic. Therefore, it is necessary to hold workshops and mentoring in the use of furoshiki among young people, especially high school and vocational students. The workshop materials include, 1) Definition of furoshiki, 2) history and development of furoshiki, 3) Type of fabric, size and motif of furoshiki, 4) Price of furoshiki, 5) Benefits and techniques of making furoshiki. The method used in this workshop is the method of community education and training by means of lectures, discussions and mentoring. Participants are introduced and taught how to make furoshiki so that they can be useful in everyday life. This activity was quite successful when seen from the enthusiasm of the participants in participating in the workshop and indicated by the participant satisfaction questionnaire which touched the figure of 70%. With this workshop, it is hoped that the younger generation will be more concerned about the environment and add insight to the participants. The success of this activity is due to the good cooperation of members of the community service team with the Principal, Japanese language teacher and students of the Health and Tourism Vocational School, Bangkinang City, Riau. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan dan mendeskripsikan karakter bangsa Jepang yang terdapat dalam novel Saga no Gabai Baachan karya Shimada Yoshichi dengan karakter masyarakat Jepang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Saga no Gabai Baachan karya Shimada Yoshichi. Data penelitian ini berupa kutipan-kutipan pada novel yang menunjukkan karakter bangsa Jepang dalam novel Saga no Gabai Baachan yang dihubungkan dengan karakter masyarakat Jepang. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan metode dokumen. Metode dokumen dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan data yang berupa dokumen yaitu novel Saga no Gabai Baachan karya Shimada Yoshichi. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan karakter bangsa Jepang yang optimis, pantang menyerah, menghargai sesamanya, mendengarkan pendapat orang lain, tidak egois dalam berkehidupan kelompok, mampu membedakan baik dan buruk. Hubungan karakter tokoh dengan karakter dalam masyarakat Jepang memiliki keterkaitan. Kata Kunci : karakter, Jepang, novel Abstract This study aims to find and describe the character of the Japanese nation contained in the novel Saga no Gabai Baachan by Shimada Yoshichi with the character of Japanese society. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. The source of this research data is the novel Saga no Gabai Baachan by Shimada Yoshichi.The research to aim and describe a character of the Japanese people in novel Saga no Gabai Baachan relations with the character of Japanese society. The research used descriptive quantitative method. The data source of this research is a novel Saga no Gabai Baachan by Shimada Yoshichi and quotations of the relationship the characters in the novel with Japanese characters society.The research uses data group techniques with document methods and interviews. Document methods is use the data from a document, that is novel Saga no Gabai Baachan writte by Yoshichi Shimadato and interviews data use to answer the point of research focus. The research analysis data tecniques using qualitative descriptive data analysis technique.The results of the research are showed the Japanese character based on the principle of life from Matsushita, optimistic, never give up, respect others, firmly and unselfish, recognize good and bad. The relationship of the characters in novel Saga no Gabai Baachan with the character Japanese society has much common. Keywords : characters, Japanese, novels

Abstract

Abstrak Pembelajaran bunpou (tata bahasa) masih sangat jarang lakukan dengan memanfaatkan media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan berbasis teknologi. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran online berupa kahoot terhadap penguasaan bunpou (tata bahasa) pada mata kuliah nihongo kentei 1. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Jenis penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian yakni mahasiswa berjumlah 26 orang terbagi dalam dua kelompok yakni kontrol dan eksperimen. Hasil penelitian merupakan nilai kuis materi bunpo (tata bahasa) dengan menggunakan aplikasi kahoot dan tanpa aplikasi kahoot. Nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh kontrol sebanyak 69,8. Kelas eksperimen memperoleh nilai 85,6. Hasil akhir yang didapatkan kahoot efektif digunakan pada kelas eksperimen. Sehingga kesimpulan akhir yang diperoleh adalah kahoot efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran bunpou (tata bahasa) mata kuliah nihongo kentei 1 pada mahasiswa semester IV. Penelitian lanjutan yang dapat dilakukan pada pembelajaran bahasa Jepang, materi membaca dan mendengarkan dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran online yang menarik.

Abstract

Abstrak Cerita dalam novel merupakan pencerminan kehidupan kita sehari-hari dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Karena setiap sastrawan dengan segala latar belakang kehidupan memotret dan memaknai kehidupan di sekitarnya kemudian diekspresikan melalui karya sastra dan salah satunya ada pada sebuah novel yang diciptakan. Oleh karena itu untuk menkaji lebih dalam digunakanlah kajian memetik. Cerita dalam novel Noruwei no Mori dipilih untuk dikaji karena menggambarkan tentang kehidupan sehari-hari seorang remaja dan berstatus sebagai mahasiswa yang mencerminkan kehidupan di dunia nyata. Untuk mengetahui gambaran kehidupan mahasiswa baru dalam novel dengan kehidupan mahasiswa di dunia nyata, gambaran kehidupan pertemanan seorang mahasiswa dalam novel dengan kehidupan pertemanan di dunia nyata dan gambaran tentang kisah cinta seorang mahasiswa dalam novel dengan kisah cinta dunia nyata. Hasil penelitian ini adalah cerita pada novel Noruwei no Mori ini merupakan cerminan dari kehidupan nyata seorang mahasiswa. Kata Kunci: mimetik, Noruwei no Mori, mahasiswa Abstract The stories in the novel sometimes are a reflection of our everyday life in society since many of man of letters has a certain life background to express and reflected into a literary works, for example novel. Therefore, there is a useful approach that can be used to analyze a literary work deeply. That is mimetic. Mimetic learns how a real life is reflected in a literary works. The story in Noruwei no Mori novel is chosen to be analyzed since it illustrates a daily life of a teenager (college student). In addition, this research also reveals the daily life of new college students in the novel and in our real life, how they make friends and also their love story. After doing analysis, it can be concluded that the story in Noruwei no Mori novel is a reflection of the real life of a new college students. Key words: mimetic, Noruwei no Mori, college students

Abstract

AbstrakBushido merupakan kode etik yang digunakan oleh samurai namun seiring dengan berjalannya waktu meluas hingga menjadi tradisi pada masyarakat Jepang. Nilai-nilai tersebut tampak pada karya sastra Jepang terutama novel yang mencerminkan kehidupan bangsa Jepang. Salah satu novel tersebut adalah Saga no Gabai Baachan yang bercerita mengenai perjuangan hidup masyarakat Jepang pada perang dunia dua. Novel ini dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya bentuk-bentuk nilai bushido yakni : 1) Kejujuran memiliki bentuk, a) kejujuran dalam berkata,dan kejujuran dalam bersikap, 2) Keberanian memiliki bentuk, keberanian dalam mengakui kesalahan, dan dalam bersikap, 3) Kemurahan hati memiliki bentuk, a) simpati, b) kasih sayang, c) memberikan bantuan kemiskinan, dan d)memberikan bantuan dalam belajar, 4) Kesopanan memiliki bentuk kesopanan dalam bertingkah laku, 5) Kesungguhan memiliki bentuk kesungguhan dalam mewujudkan keinginan, 6) Kehormatan memiliki bentuk kehormatan yang berhubungan dengan nama baik, dan 7) Kesetiaan memiliki bentuk kesetiaan dalam kelompok.Kata kunci: nilai bushido, saga no gabai, bentuk AbstractBushido is an ethic code used by samurai, but over time it has expanded to become a tradition in Japanese society. Those values are shown in the work of Japanese literature, especially novels that reflect the lives of the Japanese people. One of the novels is Saga no Gabai Baachan which tells about the struggle of the Japanese people living in the world war two. This novel was analyzed using descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study showed the forms of values of bushido, namely: 1) The forms of honesty. They are: a) honesty in saying, and honesty in acting, 2) The forms of courage. They are: the courage to admit mistakes, and in attitude, 3) The forms of generosity. They are: a) sympathy, b) affection, c) provide poverty relief, and d) provide assistance in learning. 4) The form of modesty. It is decency in behavior, 5) The form of seriousness. It is seriousness in realizing the desire, 6) the form of honor. This form is associated with a good name, and 7) The form of loyalty. It is loyalty within the group.Key words: bushido value, saga no gabai, forms

Abstract

This qualitative descriptive study aims to determine the needs of students and lecturers for team-based, project-based teaching materials in interpersonal and communication skills courses. Data collection was obtained through observation, interviews and document study. The results of observations during the implementation of interpersonal and communication skills courses in obtaining an overview of students’ public communication experiences. Students are not used to it and seem passive when communicating in public. Students also have difficulty adapting their communication style to suit various interlocutors. The analysis of the questionnaires revealed that most did not have teaching materials for interpersonal communication skills courses and admitted that they needed them for courses in these subjects. Meanwhile, interview data supported by study documents revealed that lecturers and students need open materials packaged specifically for implementing interpersonal and communication skills courses. Teaching materials need to be presented in a structured manner and be able to create collaborative learning. Open materials can utilize digital media. Teaching materials are expected to improve students’ interpersonal and communication skills. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that it is necessary to develop teaching materials that are integrated with the team-based project model by utilizing digital media.

Abstract

Abstract A lunch is a meal put into a box or container that makes it easy to take anywhere. In Japan, the term lunch is called bento. Bento is a rice lunch that is usually carried by the Japanese people since ancient times until now, for housewives, this bento is a common thing for them, even this bento is made every day as a family supply whether it is the office, school and picnic. So in the lives of Japanese people, and this has become a tradition or habit of the Japanese people. This healthy and attractive bento can make children interested in bringing it to school. Therefore, it is necessary to hold training to make healthy and attractive bento to PKK in Pandau Jaya. The method used is the training method, starting with the introduction of a typical Japanese bento starting from the history, the ingredients needed for making bento. After that, training to make healthy and attractive bento based on the standard contents of my plate. From the evaluation results, 68% of participants were interested in knowing how to make bento and 64% of participants were interested in knowing healthy and attractive bento. However, only 24% of the participants were interested and motivated to open a business through bento making. Suggestions that participants want this activity to be sustainable with other training in the field of Japanese cuisine such as the introduction of traditional Japanese food and cakes. Abstract

Sastra tidak dapat dipisahkan dari masyarakat. Kajian sastra yang behubungan dengan masyarakat adalah sosiologi sastra. Pada sosiologi sastra salah satu teori yang digunakan untuk mengkaji yakni teori hegemoni. Penelitian ini mengkaji salah satu novel Jepang dengan judul Shinsho no Taikoki Karya Eiji Yoshikawa yang memiliki cerita menarik pada aspek sosial masyarakat Jepang menjelang dekade abad keenam belas dan banyak menunjukkan bentuk hegemoni yang dilakukan oleh para tokoh ceritanya. Hegemoni yang ditemukan pada novel ini yakni hegemoni Gramsci yakni hegemoni yang terjadi tanpa adanya kekerasan.Kata kunci : Sastra, hegemoni Gramsci, novel Jepang

Abstract

Improving the professionalism of Japanese teachers is indispensable. So that the ability of teachers in delivering learning is improved. Therefore, it is necessary to hold workshops and mentoring in making learning media for Japanese teachers. Especially the learning media intended for learning sakubun. Workshop materials include, 1) Introduction to drawing media, 2) Things to be aware of using drawing media in Japanese writing teaching, 3) Benefits of using drawing media in teaching Japanese writing skills, and 4) Discussions and presentations on the use of drawing media. Methods used during workshops and mentoring are lectures, discussions, mentoring. After that, participants are guided to create drawing media and sakubun. This activity is quite successful when viewed from the enthusiasm of the participants in participating in the workshop and mentoring media making. So that it can be a motivation for teachers to be more creative in making learning media and learning about sakubun. The success of this activity was thanks to the good cooperation of community service team members with the Principal of SMA Plus Pekanbaru, Riau.
