Abstract

This study aims to improve communication skills, in learning conversation(kaiwa) in Japanese language student of teacher training and education faculty Riau University.Many conversation exercises are only focused on practising sentence pattern and memorizing ofconversation examples contained in the textbook. Thus learning pattern causes learners not to beable to express what they want to convey in the real scope of communication in Japaneselanguage. This study tries to overcome the problem by implementing project work inconversation lectures. The purpose of this study is to see the involvement of learners in thelectures using project work and find out their opinions about the method. The data of this studywere 44 students of Japanese Language Education Study Program of Teacher Training andEducation Faculty Riau University. From the result of the study, it was seen that during theproject work implementation the learners were actively involved in learning even though theyexperience language barrier when communicating. From the result of the questionnaire thatasked about learners’ opinion, it was found that almost all learners had a positive impression ofthe project work on the Kaiwa 4 subject.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to know the types and influences of language variation of japanese apologize in informal language based on language variation factors. They are sosiolect, idiolect and situational factor. Data is taken from Japanese animation titled “Kuroko no Basuke” by Tadatoshi Fujimaki episode 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 23. Data collection‟s method is “simak” method and using a “simak bebas libat cakap” technic and taking note method. Data analyse‟s method is identity method and using a dividing-key-factors technique. Based on this research, founded 11 types of japanese apologize in informal language. They are sumimasen, suimasen, sumimasen deshita, sumanai, suman, suman na, suman no, gomen, gomen ne, warui and warukatta. The using those types is influenced by three sosiolect aspect. They are age, sex and profession. Idiolect and situasional factor also have an influence of using the japanese apologize in informal language.Keywords: apologize, language variation, sosiolect, idiolect

Abstract

Abstract: Self-directed learning is a person's readiness or willingness to learn independently which consists of an attitude component that takes the initiative to learn with or without the help of others. This study aims to find out how the use of the WKWK Japan website in self-directed learning based on the generative theory by Huda (2014) in the Nihongo Shokyuu course by Japanese Language Education students FKIP UNRI batch 2020. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The research was conducted by conducting interviews with data sources. The data sources in this study were 7 students of the 2020 Japanese Language Education FKIP Riau University who took the Nihongo Shokyuu class and used the WKWK Japan website in self-directd learning. Abstract

Abstract : This research describes about using an error of transitive and intransitive verbs are done by students in second grade of Japanese Program in Riau University. This research uses a descriptive method. This theory which is used for error analysis and linguistic theory of jidoushi tadoushi . The data is an error gets from written questionnaire test form on bunpou subject. While the factor of an error data gets from interview. Based on the data analysis can be concluded that the form of the most common error is when selecting verb in the sentence of tadoushi or jidoushi . This caused of students still difficult for which different between jidoushi and tadoushi.Keyword : error analysis, jidoushi, tadoushi

Abstract

Abstract: One of the difficulties when learning Japanese is when students are faced with kanji. Japanese learners struggle because of the large number of students, the variety of reading ways, etc. Kanji is basically a symbol of meaning. Bushu or radical is the basic character of kanji that shows meaning . Therefore , in this study, it will be seen how students understand bushu. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. Using a test instrument that is used to determine the level of understanding of bushu in interpreting kanji in Japanese Language Eduaction students, the result show that the average bushu understanding of respondents is 77,79 which indicates that respondents have a good understanding of bushu.Key Word: Bushu, Kanji

Abstract

Abstract: This study sought to determine the results of questionnaires and interviews students about the application of media power point on the course Bunpou 1 auxiliary word material numbers~tsu、~hon、~ko、~hai. This study aims to determine students' responses on the application of media power point, namely, the positive things that earned the student, and the constraints faced by the students to the application of media power point. The population in this study were students Level 1 Japanese Language Education Universitas Riau as many as 30 people. Descriptive qualitative method used in this study so that in this study only explain, describe and explain the data obtained.From the analysis of the data can be found: 1) based on the results of the questionnaire, 83.3% of respondents answered that the students can be helped with the implementation of media power point in the course bunpou 1 and 96.7% of students can be motivated to learn bunpou 1 in the presence of media power point,2) a student can gain a positive thing when applying media power point on the course bunpou 1 form of increased student interest in following the lectures, the students add to the understanding of the presented material, power point display media were nice and interesting, and3) the constraints faced by students when the application is media power point presentation of Sound (Sound) contained on media power point is less clear.This research can be used as a teaching medium that can help and support in the course bunpou 1. Based on the research results that have been obtained,it is expected to further research the application of media power point of time in order to prepare the media better and better presentation of her voice again.Key Words: Bunpou1, student feedback, positive things, constraints, media power point

Abstract

Abtract: Speed reading is a blend of speed reading with understanding thecontent of reading. This study aims to determine the level of reading speed, readingcomprehension, effective speed reading, and speed reading constraints in Japanese.This study used quantitative research methods. Reading speed is calculated based wpm(words per minute). texts are used to measure the student reading speed were about theJapanese language proficiency test (nihongo ryoku shiken) N4 (level 4). Samples of thisstudy were the students of level 2 of Japanese Study Program,FKIP University of Riauacademic year 2014/2015 academic year consisted of 29 people. The results of the studyare the average of speed of reading students in the amount at 155 wpm (words perminute), which means speed reading of students categorized slow readersas,understanding of reading students gained an average value at 55.86, which means theability of understanding of students categorized as sufficient and effective studentsspeed reading amounted to 106 wpm (words per minute), which means that the readerhas not been effective. It was caused by several factors, including the ability of readingis still stammering, reading strategies only read text, there were kanji and katakana onreading, and did not understand the meaning of the word in texts.Keywords: reading, speed, comprehension, effective, dokkai, N4

Abstract: Japanese Languange Proficiency Test (JLPT) is a test held to measure Japanese language skills. This study aims to find out how the use of learning strategies according to Oxford (1990) by students who have passed JLPT N3. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The study was conducted by conducting interviews with data sources. The data sources in this study were 7 students of class 2017 and 1 student of class 2018 Japanese language education study program Riau University. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine the factors that cause errors in the use of ni and de particles in sakubun learning. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data were analyzed by using method by Setyawati (2010). Richard (dalam Tarigan, 2011), and Jain&Fisik (dalam Tarigan, 2011). A total of 6 students of Japanese Language Education FKIP UNRI who became the data in this study. The data was taken from interviews to find out what causes errors that occur in sakubun learning. Research results show that. The errors that arise are caused by a lack of the student understanding of the material, especially the ni and de particles. In addition, this errors occurs due to a performance factor, namely the lack of concentration of student when writing essays. Lack of concentration can cause students to not be able to do well.Key Words: Error Analysis, Particle, Sakubun
