Abstract

Orang muda memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam masyarakat dan menjadi tiang penyokong dalam membawa perubahan dan harapan di masa kini dan masa yang akan datang. Orang muda dapat memberikan dampak yang baik maupun buruk terutama dalam konteks peribadatan. Pemimpin rohani memegang peran penting dalam membangun, mengarahkan, dan merangkul orang muda sehingga mereka dapat menunjukkan minat dan potensi dengan baik di dalam peribadatan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan untuk mencari tahu peranan pemimpin pemuda Kristen dalam merangkul orang-orang muda di dalam peribadatan. Pemimpin pemuda Kristen haruslah menjadi contoh dalam kehidupan dan dalam peribadatan, membangun komunikasi yang baik, mampu menciptakan dan membuat aktivitas yang menarik di dalam gereja, dan mampu mengajak para orang muda untuk dapat berpartisipasi secara aktif dalam kegiatan gereja. Hal ini membutuhkan komitmen dan usaha dari pemimpin pemuda. Dengan demikian, orang muda dalam gereja dapat mengembangkan peran mereka dengan baik di dalam takut akan Tuhan.

Abstract

This study looks at how the writings of the Spirit of Prophecy can help young people today, who face many moral and spiritual challenges. By reading and studying this article, it is hoped that young people will get better guidance for life, improve their spiritual understanding, and find positive values to deal with everyday situations. The research is qualitative and uses a literature review method. The researcher explores the benefits of the Spirit of Prophecy writings for young people in the modern world, reading different sources and articles. This study suggests ways for young people to avoid becoming too dependent on gadgets and social media, avoid an instant lifestyle, and build good relationships with others in real life. Overall, the writings of the Spirit of Prophecy play a key role in helping young people grow into strong individuals with good character, even in the face of contemporary challenges.

Abstract

Quality of leadership is highly needed and essential in an organization, including the church. A reliable, responsible, loyal, diligent, and honest leader can have a positive influence on members to collaborate in achieving the church's goals. In the context of Christian leadership, spiritual leaders must demonstrate attitudes and characters by emulating the teachings and examples of Jesus. However, there are many cases where church leaders engage in misconduct and do not set a good example for the congregation, such as cases of sexual violence and other misconducts, resulting in members becoming inactive in the church due to this. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach to find out the influence of leadership on the activity of congregation members. The results show that the views and expectations of congregation members towards leadership are very diverse, but the most important thing is that leaders must serve with full loyalty, patience, and show concern for the congregation members. Factors such as dissatisfaction in service, laziness in worship, family struggles, lack of trust, and busyness in work are the main causes of the inactivity of members in the church. Therefore, effective strategies are needed to provide motivation and support to congregation members to be active and willing to participate in every worship activity, including worship services

Abstract

Christian Religious Education (CRE) is pivotal for whole-person formation, yet classroom practice often remains teacher-centered, suppressing student participation. This study aimed to identify effective instructional approaches that foster active engagement in CRE lessons. Using a qualitative library research design, we thematically reviewed books, peer-reviewed articles, and relevant reports on student participation and pedagogies applicable to CRE. Findings indicate two consistently effective approaches: cooperative learning (e.g., Think–Pair–Share, Jigsaw, Team Games Tournament, and “window shopping”) and problem-based learning. These models elevate engagement across cognitive (analysis, evaluation, problem solving), affective (interest, motivation, positive attitudes), and psychomotor (practice and performance) domains. The CRE teacher’s role as facilitator and spiritual mentor—backed by professional competence in content mastery, classroom management, creativity, and communication—proves crucial for creating interactive, joyful, and meaningful learning climates. We conclude that participatory models enable students to not only grasp doctrine cognitively but also embody Christian values in daily life. The results offer practical guidance for CRE teachers, curriculum developers, and teacher-training programs to design student-centered learning. Future studies should test these approaches using quasi-experimental, mixed-methods, and longitudinal designs to assess impacts on character formation, faith development, and transferability across grades and school contexts.

Abstract

Good mental health requires the ability to manage emotions, thoughts, and actions in a healthy and adaptive manner. Parental upbringing and family support are crucial in maintaining the mental health of adolescents, as they are the closest individuals within the family. Emotional support from the family and access to mental health resources like psychologists or mental health clinics can assist adolescents in overcoming stress and pressures in their lives. This paper uses a literature review methodology to explore the family’s role in adolescent mental health. The findings based on the literature review indicate that the family has a significant influence on adolescent mental health. Parenting styles demonstrated by parents have a significant impact on the mental development of adolescents. The social support provided by parents to their children is likewise crucial. With strong social support from the family and the surrounding environment, adolescents can build positive relationships with others, effectively overcome challenges, and achieve desired life goals.

Abstract

Leadership plays an essential role in guiding organizations and communities toward achieving shared goals. In the context of Christian ministry, leadership is not only related to managerial ability but also to spiritual character, integrity, and dependence on God. Effective spiritual leadership requires wisdom, faithfulness, integrity, and the ability to make responsible decisions while becoming a role model for others. This study aims to examine the concept of effective spiritual leadership based on biblical principles and the writings of Ellen G. White, and to explore its relevance for Christian leadership today. This research employs a qualitative approach using a literature study method. Various sources such as books, academic journals, and theological writings related to Christian leadership and Ellen G. White’s perspectives were collected and analyzed to identify key principles of spiritual leadership. The findings show that effective spiritual leadership is characterized by wisdom, faithfulness to God, integrity, humility, and dependence on divine guidance. A spiritual leader must seek God’s wisdom through His Word, demonstrate integrity in character and actions, and involve others in decision-making and ministry. Such leadership encourages growth, cooperation, and spiritual development within the community. In conclusion, effective Christian leadership is grounded in spiritual values and a close relationship with God. Leaders who practice wisdom, faithfulness, and integrity can positively influence others and faithfully serve as role models in Christian ministry.

Abstract

The development of digital culture has brought significant changes to the lives of young people, particularly in communication patterns, learning, and social interaction. While technology provides easy access to information and communication, excessive use of social media also leads to negative impacts such as depression, addiction, insomnia, and decreased academic performance. In this context, biblical values become essential as a foundation for shaping character and maintaining the faith of young people amid digital influences. This study employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach, collecting data from books, journals, and relevant scientific articles, which are then analyzed descriptively to gain a deeper understanding. The results show that Romans 12 contains important values relevant to the lives of young people in the digital era, including not conforming to the world, self-control, sincere love, and living in goodness. The application of these values helps young people use digital media wisely, avoid negative influences, and build strong character and faith. In addition, environmental factors such as family, peers, and schools play an important role in supporting the implementation of these values. In conclusion, biblical values based on Romans 12 can serve as a strong foundation for young people in facing the challenges of digital culture. Technology does not replace spirituality but can support spiritual growth when used wisely and with discipline, enabling young people to live rightly, responsibly, and remain rooted in their faith in the digital era.

Abstract

Moral decline among the younger generation has become a critical issue driven by internal character crises and external influences of social environment and digital disruption. This study aims to analyze and delineate the strategic role of Christian Religious Education (PAK) as an instrument for building children's moral character amidst the challenges of the modern era. This study employed a library research method by analyzing 38 secondary literature sources retrieved from Google Scholar, Crossref, DOAJ, and Garuda databases. Data were examined using thematic content analysis techniques encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results demonstrate that moral character formation through PAK operates holistically across three fundamental pillars: grounding moral truth in the Word of God as an absolute standard, fostering a personal relationship with God from early childhood based on biblical models of faith, and cultivating dispositions of love, social care, and mutual tolerance. Reinforcing children's moral character requires sustained tripartite synergy combining teachers' instructional role modeling at school, parents' affective habituation and supervision at home, and spiritual mentoring within the church community. Through integrative Christian education, children develop moral and spiritual resilience to navigate ethical decadence in the contemporary era. ABSTRAK Kemerosotan moral pada generasi muda menjadi isu serius yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal krisis karakter serta faktor eksternal lingkungan sosial dan disrupsi digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan peran strategis Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) sebagai instrumen pembentukan karakter moral anak di tengah tantangan era modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan menelaah 38 sumber data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui basis data Google Scholar, Crossref, DOAJ, dan Portal Garuda. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi tematik (thematic content analysis) yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan karakter moral anak melalui PAK berlangsung secara holistik melalui tiga pilar utama: penanaman kebenaran firman Allah sebagai standar moral absolut, pengenalan relasi pribadi dengan Tuhan sejak usia dini berbasis keteladanan tokoh iman Alkitab, serta pembentukan disposisi kasih, kepedulian, dan toleransi terhadap sesama. Penguatan karakter moral anak menuntut sinergi tripartit yang berkesinambungan antara keteladanan guru di sekolah, pembiasaan dan pengawasan afektif orang tua di rumah, serta pendampingan komunitas rohani gereja. Dengan implementasi PAK yang integratif, anak dibekali ketahanan moral dan spiritual untuk menghadapi dekadensi etika di era kontemporer.
