Abstract

Information Technology (IT) governance is a framework used by organizations to effectively manage and control their information technology resources, aiming to maximize business value. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS), in its responsibility to provide critical data, faces challenges in optimizing their IT management. This research aims to apply the COBIT 2019 framework as a structure to improve Information Technology (IT) governance at BPS, facilitating efficient and smooth management of critical data services. The findings of this research reveal that BPS has not carried out a comprehensive assessment of Information Technology (IT) governance. Apart from that, there are challenges in managing order data and stock information. In addition, BPS requires a more structured information technology governance process to ensure targeted and effective use of technology, so that companies can achieve their goals more efficiently. The literature review process helps in identifying gaps in current research, paving the way for more comprehensive and insightful research. After conducting calculations for the analysis of objectives APO13 and DSS04, different results were obtained. In APO13, the questions asked only reached level 3, which means it stopped below 85%, specifically at 66%. Meanwhile, in DSS04 the questions asked continued up to the last level with a consistently high percentage, above 85%. By integrating these findings into the research, this study becomes enriched with a strong theoretical foundation, ensuring an in-depth and rigorous analysis of this issue.

Abstract

This study investigates public behavior in Indo-Pacific countries, employing the Exit, Voice, and Loyalty framework. In an era marked by globalization and interconnectedness, citizen choices and actions in the Indo-Pacific region are increasingly influenced by global trends and international relations. Trust in government plays a pivotal role, affected by public scrutiny in an interconnected world and impacting trust levels. Life satisfaction, a reflection of individual well-being, mirrors government performance and is a critical factor. Quantitative analysis, including multinomial logistic regression, using data from the Asian Barometer Survey 2008 unveils noteworthy results. Lower trust in government reduced life satisfaction, and negative government assessments drive exit behavior, with a 15% increase in the likelihood of citizens choosing to exit when trust is low. Conversely, higher life satisfaction and positive government assessments increase the probability of loyalty behavior by 20%, while voice behavior likelihood decreases by 10%. These findings provide valuable insights into public behavior in the Indo-Pacific, emphasizing the roles of trust, life satisfaction, and government performance, supported by numerical evidence. These insights hold significance in the Indo-Pacific's ever-evolving global landscape, serving as a foundation for policymaking and decision-making. Policymakers and researchers can use this knowledge to enhance governance, promote societal well-being, and deepen citizen-government connections in the dynamic Indo-Pacific region. Keywords: Indo-Pacific; Exit Voice and Loyalty Framework; life satisfaction; government performance; trust

Abstract

This study aims to support an objective and transparent selection process for church leadership within the Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDA), recognizing the importance of balanced spiritual and administrative leadership. To achieve this, the study applies the Multi-Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) method as a systematic approach, enabling a more objective, criteria-based candidate selection. MOORA is used to provide an evaluation model that combines criteria weighting and normalization, aiming to produce fairer and more measurable decisions compared to conventional methods. The analyzed criteria include spiritual maturity, community involvement, leadership experience, and doctrinal knowledge. The results show that applying MOORA increased the selection objectivity by 15% compared to previous methods, with candidate a3 achieving the highest score of 0.5708, followed by a1 (0.5663) and a2 (0.5589). By prioritizing criteria reflecting the church’s values, essential aspects such as spiritual maturity and community involvement receive greater emphasis. These findings demonstrate that MOORA supports faith-based decision-making aligned with church values, providing improved governance and applicability in other religious organizations facing similar selection challenges.
