Abstract

Public request for beauty care services continues to increase. The production of cosmetics and beauty clinics are also increasing at the same time. Some cosmetics that contain hazardous substances on the market make consumers more smart to choose non-hazardous ones by using natural cosmetics. Traditional beauty centers in Surakarta aim to realize the provision of traditional beauty treatments with natural ingredients as well as providing facilities for relaxation, education, and art and gallery as complementary facilities. The main problem of this building design is how to attract visitors and show them that it’s a commercial building that accommodates beauty activities using a metaphorical architectural approach. The result of the design is Traditional Beauty Center in Surakarta that can attract attention and bring visitors. Public can see that this is Traditional Beauty Center just to see through the building. To obtain the criteria, the method that will be used are observational studies to the community, field studies, and literature studies on related theories.

Abstract

ABSTRACT In an economic area such as Jabodetabekjur, these areas interact with each other, both in terms of the movement of production factors and the exchange of commodities. Spatial disparities between regions can occur due to disparities in productivity levels between regions triggered by the misery of concentration or concentration of economic activities. As a result, economic growth arises that is not parallel between regions within one region. The gap in economic growth between regions in the Greater Jakarta area can be seen in the following table. The research model is formulated recursively in a tiered regression analysis used to study the Cobb-Douglas linear function from panel data through the EViews-10 application. The results of the analysis show that: The results show that per capita income, population, and regional investment simultaneously have a significant effect on retribution area. The JABODETABEK government needs to pay attention to the conditions that occur, especially those related to the quality of per capita income, population, and regional investment in the JABODETABEK area because these three variables have a close relationship with economic growth and are a source of economic growth in regional retribution to promote regional development. The research is expected to provide input for the JABODETABEK Government in implementing regional financial management to further increase regional fees.

Abstract

The tourism sector plays a significant role in the Indonesian economy, both in terms of added value, foreign exchange earnings, and as a job creator. The panel data linear regression method is used to determine the effect of the tourism sector on labor absorption using panel data for 10 years of time series data and 41 cross-sectional data from districts/cities in three provinces in Indonesia. This quantitative research method using secondary data shows that cultural, ethnic, and linguistic diversity is a great potential in tourism development, while the creative economy sector has the potential to be a locomotive for increasing labor absorption. However, on the other hand, tourism is also one of the sectors most vulnerable to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The research was conducted in Java Island by analyzing data from provincial districts/cities in Java Island on inflation, interest rates, rupiah exchange rates, total export-import, labor wage values, transportation infrastructure, and foreign portfolios on foreign direct investment (FDI) in Java Island, as well as GRDP and employment opportunities in the period 2013 to 2022. The population of this study is all provinces in Indonesia (38 provinces) as cross section data. While the time series data is 56 years (since the new order). While the sample of this study is panel data of 6 provinces in Java Island within 10 years. Where time series data will be taken from 2013-2022 and cross section data for 6 provinces which are the largest industrial estate locations in each province. This research method uses a descriptive verification method. The variables used are divided into two (2), namely the dependent variable and the independent variable. The dependent variable in this study is FDI (in the structure of research model 1) and GRDP and employment opportunities (in the structure of research model 2) while the independent variables in this study are logistics performance index, rupiah exchange rate, labor wages, inflation and infrastructure (in the structure of research model 1) and FDI (in the structure of research model Foreign direct investment (FDI) has a significant and positive effect on gross regional domestic product (GRDP t-1) on the island of Java by 83.68%. Meanwhile, foreign direct investment (FDI) has an insignificant and positive effect on employment opportunities on the island of Java.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) method at New Concept English Education Centre in Indonesia, focusing on its integration with Information and Communication Technology (ICT). CLT emphasizes authentic communication and interactive pedagogy, aiming to improve students' speaking and listening skills. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis to assess how CLT enhances language acquisition. Findings reveal that incorporating ICT tools such as digital platforms, multimedia resources, and gamified applications significantly supports real-world communication, fostering engagement and motivation among learners. Despite these advancements, challenges persist, particularly regarding technology access and infrastructure. This study underscores the transformative potential of ICT-enhanced CLT in modern language education while offering insights for curriculum development and teacher training to optimize English language instruction in Indonesia and similar contexts.

Abstract

Teachers as one of the components of education play an important role in teaching and learning activities. In the general provisions of Law No. 14 of 2005 concerning teachers and lecturers, it is stated that teachers are professional educators with the main task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, assessing and evaluating students at various levels and types of formal education. This research aims to find strategies and ways to increase commitment to the profession. This study uses a quantitative approach, namely research that emphasizes its analysis on numerical data (numbers) processed by statistical methods. The first hypothesis states that Self-Efficacy has a direct positive and significant effect on Commitment to the Profession. Based on the results of research and data processing, it can be concluded that commitment to the profession can be increased through Strengthening Organizational Culture, Self-Efficacy, Job Satisfaction, and Work Motivation.

Abstract

Background: Personalized learning must be based on exploring students' traits, including learning styles. Knowledge of student learning styles will make it easier to design learning, including practicing inquiry skills. Inquiry skills are abilities that all students need to have. Inquiry skills must be trained through habituation, especially through practical learning. Many Student Worksheets (LKM) practice inquiry skills, but they do not accommodate each student's learning style. Method: Development of personalized learning LKM to train inquiry skills using the Borg and Gall development research model. Results: Initial data was taken through interviews and learning style tests. The results of the learning style test show that 35.72% of students have a visual learning style, 25% auditory, and 39.28% kinesthetic. The next stage is to develop visual, auditory, and kinesthetic LKM products on the characteristics of leaves as quite complex material. The products developed are then evaluated through validation by material and inquiry experts, language experts, and development experts. Product improvements are made based on comments and suggestions from validators. The three LKM products were tested for suitability by students as product users. The feasibility score for the visual type of personalized learning LKM was 89%, the auditory type of personalized learning LKM was 90%, and the kinesthetic type of personalized learning LKM was 92%. The results of the effectiveness test of the three products show an increase in students' inquiry skills in the medium category. Conclusion: The three LKM personalized learning products fall into the feasible and usable category.
