Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kebudayaan dan tradisi suku Pak-pak yang kini terancam hilang akibat kurangnya perhatian dari masyarakat dan pemerintah, serta tergerus oleh perkembangan zaman. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan degradasi budaya Pak-pak serta upaya pelestarian yang dapat dilakukan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriprif kualitatif dengan cara wawancara mendalam dengan narasumber warga lokal pakpak yang masih menjaga tradisi mereka. Objek penelitian meliputi beberapa wilayah di Sumatera Utara yang masih memiliki komunitas Pak-pak, serta situs-situs budaya yang menjadi bagian dari warisan mereka, seperti tradisi,budaya, dan situs sejarah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengabaian terhadap budaya Pak-pak terjadi karena lemahnya pemeliharaan dan minimnya pendidikan budaya di kalangan generasi muda dan juga kurangnya antusias generasi muda terhadap kebudayaan Pakpak. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pelestarian budaya melalui kolaborasi antara masyarakat lokal dan pemerintah, serta peningkatan kesadaran akan nilai sejarah dan identitas budaya suku Pak-pak untuk mencegah punahnya warisan budaya tersebut.

Abstract

Students' critical thinking skills in physics at the high school level are still low, even tho teachers have used several innovative learning models such as problem-based learning and inquiry. The models used are not yet optimal for improving students' critical thinking skills. Students are not yet able to connect prior knowledge with new knowledge to build a complete new understanding. This is because the available learning media still doesn't visually present phenomena that can spark students' curiosity and encourage their critical thinking skills. The cognitive conflict-based generative model assisted by learning videos is one of the proposed alternatives to solve the above problems. This study aims to determine the effect of a cognitive conflict-based generative learning model assisted by instructional videos on students' critical thinking skills in static fluids material. The design of this quasi-experimental research is a posttest-only control group. The study population includes all eleventh-grade high school students, consisting of two classes: XI F1 and XI F2, with a total sampling technique used for data collection. The instrument used is a critical thinking ability test sheet in the form of essay questions. The data was analyzed using a two-sample t-test. The research results show that students' critical thinking skills in the experimental class are higher than in the control class. Based on the results of the two-mean equality test, the calculated "t" value is 3.59, which is greater than the table "t" value of 2.003 at a significance level of 5%. The same treatment was given to both the experimental and control classes, except that the experimental class used a cognitive conflict-based generative learning model assisted by video learning, while the control class used the models and media commonly used by teachers in schools. This means the difference is caused by the treatment given. Therefore, the use of a cognitive conflict-based generative learning model assisted by video learning significantly affects students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research seeks to examine and depict the extent to which digital-based Social Studies (IPS) instruction is effectively carried out in three elementary schools in West Sumatra: UPT SDN 09 Sungai Aro, SDN 22 Andalas Barat, and SDN 11 Kampung Darek. A mixedmethods descriptive research design was adopted, with data gathered through ethnolearning activities that included non-participatory classroom observation, structured interviews with teachers, and questionnaire distribution to 64 fifth-grade students using a Likert scale instrument. The findings reveal that digital-based IPS learning is overall categorized as Effective, with an average percentage of 75.03%. At the individual school level, SDN 11 Kampung Darek achieved the highest rating of Very Effective (81.8%), whereas SDN 09 Sungai Aro (76.3%) and SDN 22 Andalas Barat (69.3%) were both rated Effective. The use of digital media including educational videos, visual imagery, and slide presentations demonstrably enhanced students' conceptual understanding and motivation to learn. Principal obstacles included insufficient ICT devices, frequent internet connectivity disruptions, and unequal levels of digital literacy among students. The study points to the necessity of equitable digital infrastructure development, ongoing technology competency training for teachers, and the cultivation of a collaborative digital learning culture in schools
