Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan penerapan dan pelanggaran prinsip kesantunan dalam pembelajaran debat pada siswa SMAN 4 Musi Banyuasin. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Data pada tuturan siswa SMAN 4 Musi dalam kegiatan debat yang menunjukkan penerapan dan pelanggaran prinsip kesantunan berbahasa. Sumber data penelitian ini berupa video debat yang pada Youtube SMAN 4 Musi Banyuasin tahun 2021. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah dokumentasi dan telaah pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini terdapat 29 tuturan penerapan prinsip kesantunan yang telah dianalisis. Dari keenam maksim prinsip kesantunan, ditemukan 4 penerapan maksim kearifan; 2 penerapan maksim kedermawanan; 3 penerapan maksim kerendahan hati; 13 maksim kesepakatan; dan 7 penerapan maksim simpati, sedangkan tidak ditemukannya penerapan maksim pujian dalam video debat siswa. (2) terdapat 20 tuturan pelanggaran prinsip kesantunan yang telah dianalisis. Dari keenam maksim prinsip kesantunan, ditemukan 1 pelanggaran maksim kearifan; 4 pelanggaran maksim kedermawanan; 2 pelanggaran maksim kerendahan hati; dan 13 pelanggaran maksim kesepakatan, sedangkan pelanggaran maksim pujian dan simpati tidak ditemukan.

Abstract

Teaching and learning activities in schools are not uncommon to find an obstacle in understanding a material in teaching materials. Based on the data obtained by the researchers related to the revised 2017 edition of the Indonesian language textbook for class X, especially regarding the material for studying poetry in chapter VIII, it was found that students had difficulty understanding the contents of the diction as outlined in poetry verses and students had difficulty in concluding the overall meaning of the diction contained in the text of the poem. The purpose of this study is to show and describe the level of readability of poetry texts in the revised 2017 edition of Indonesian textbooks, and to describe the relevance of poetry texts in class X to students' understanding. Qualitative descriptive is the approach used in this research process. Readability analysis using Fry's graphic formula, discourse text of poetry J1 "Sajak Anak Muda" (W. S. Rendra) is in reader class 8, code J2 "Doa" (Chairil Anwar) is in reader class 4, code J3 "Have You Torn Blue Cloth in That Flag” (Aming Aminoedin) is in the 8th reading class, the j4 code “Sajak Matahari” (W. S. Rendra) is in the 7th reading class, the J5 code “Mother” (D. Zamawi Imron) is in the 8th reading class. less able to understand and still having difficulty in concluding the poetry text presented. This is considered irrelevant to the results of the readability analysis obtained, because based on the results of the analysis the readability index of the five poetry texts presented is low, and indicates that the reading area is at the 7th, 8th, and 9th class level of SMP/MTs equivalent, which means it is under class 10.

Abstract

Speaking skills need to be developed and learned by everyone because speaking skills are very important in communicating. Likewise in the learning process, it is necessary to practice in the form of oral communication. The problem here is the lack of students' speaking skills in discussing or presenting. Some of the factors experienced by students in speaking skills include low self-confidence, lack of mastery of the material, uncomfortable situations and conditions, and lack of language knowledge so that from some of these factors students have not been able to convey ideas, ideas or goals fluently that can be understood. by listeners. This research needs to be done to find out the realization of students' speech acts when speaking activities in news text learning. The approach used in the study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The results obtained, the realization of illocutionary and perlocutionary speech acts is found in speaking activities during news text learning.

Abstract

Language plays an important role in social communication between speakers and listeners. Through language, opinions, thoughts, and ideas can be easily expressed and understood by others. In communicative interactions, speech acts play a crucial role as they involve actions within the communication. However, speakers and listeners often face difficulties in understanding the context of a conversation. One important aspect of speech acts is the illocutionary meaning contained within them. Speech acts can occur in various everyday life situations, both in oral and written forms. A script of a drama is an example of a written form of speech acts, where utterances serve as the main foundation of a conversation. This research employs a descriptive qualitative research method to examine illocutionary speech acts in the context of written language, focusing on the use of language in Arifin C. Noer's drama script titled "A-A, I-I, U-U." The analysis results indicate the presence of 187 utterances containing illocutionary speech acts, with the dominance of assertive illocutionary acts comprising 90 data (48.13%), followed by directive acts (39.03%), expressive acts (8.56%), and commissive acts (4.28%). No declarative illocutionary acts were found in the script.

Abstract

Every content creator certainly has their own characteristics, one of which is seen from their attitude when speaking. A bilingual or bilingual content creator will add to his image in the eyes of his followers. Therefore, research was conducted on the analysis of Tiktokers' speech as an alternative to class IX Indonesian learning media. The purpose of this study is to describe the forms of language in Tiktokers speech in response content on TikTok, as well as describe the relevance of the results of bilingual analysis of Tiktokers speech as a Indonesian learning medium in class IX. The method used in this study is using qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The data analyzed is in the form of bilingual Tiktokes speech sourced from the TikTok application with stitch content categories (responses). The source of data in this study is content creators (Tiktokers). Data collection in this study was carried out by opening the TikTok application, listening to TikTok videos with stitch content categories, selecting video samples, downloading selected TikTok videos, and transcribing Tiktokers' speech. The form of realization of Tiktokers bilingualism is the ability subordinative bilinguals of 3 speeches, multiple bilinguals obtaining 1 ultterances and coordinating bilingual ability of 2 utterances. The results of the bilingual analysis of Tiktokers speech on stitch content (responses) proved to be relevant to learning media, especially interactive media in the form of audio visuals. In other word, TikTok can be used as response text learning medium in class IX.

Abstract

This study discusses the problems encountered in the use of language and learning Indonesian. Indonesian is often used with many mistakes, especially in the world of education. Students often experience obstacles in understanding and using language properly and correctly. One of the language skills that students are less interested in is reading, due to the lack of awareness of the importance of reading in increasing knowledge. Another problem encountered in learning Indonesian is understanding the meaning of speech and the use of learning media. Understanding the meaning of utterances is often disturbed due to context and indirect disclosure. Meanwhile, the use of deep learning media is still lacking, especially in the use of technology. Many teachers experience obstacles in using learning media, so that student learning motivation becomes low. This study aims to understand the problems associated with language use and learning Indonesian. The results of this study are expected to provide useful insights and recommendations for educators and students in improving Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

The phenomenon of online loan advertising in recent years has become a hot topic of discussion in the community. This cannot be separated from the important role of language as a means of communication. The purpose of this study was to analyze the illocutionary speech acts contained in the online loan advertising video on YouTube entitled “Loans at Adakami are complicated or not?”. This study uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. The results of the study found that in the online loan advertising there are 15 words that are illocutionary speech acts, dominated by assertive illocution as much as 9 (60%), expressive illocution as much as 3 (20%), directive illocution as much as 2 (13,33%), and commissive illocution as much as 1 (6,67%). While the directive illocution was not found.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low skills and interest of students to write and Indonesian language learning becomes boring, less interesting, and seems monotonous because of the selection of models and media that are not appropriate. This research aims to describe: (1) how students learn to write explanatory texts in Class VIII SMP Bimasena School before using the problem-based learning model assisted by articulate storyline media; (2) how students learn to write explanatory texts in Class VIII SMP Bimasena School after using the problem-based learning model assisted by articulate storyline media; (3) the difference in the ability to write explanatory texts of students in Class VIII SMP Bimasena School in the experimental class and control class using the problem-based learning model assisted by articulate storyline media. The method used, namely pure experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The results of this study, namely: (1) the value of experimental class students has not met the minimum completeness criteria that have been determined before applying the problem-based learning model assisted by articulate storyline media, this can be proven from the average value and recapitulation of the value that the average pretest of the experimental class is 17.3; (2) the value of experimental class students has met the predetermined minimum completeness criteria after applying the problem-based learning model assisted by articulate storyline media, this can be proven from the average value and recapitulation of the value that the average posttest of the experimental class is 86.5; (3) the experimental class has a higher value compared to the control class after receiving treatment, this can be proven from the recapitulation of the pretest and posttest and seen from the results of the independent sample t-test test, the Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.001 <0.05.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya indikasi keterancaman punahnya bahasa Sunda di lingkungan keluarga Sunda. Kajian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dominansi penggunaan bahasa Sunda, eksistensi bahasa Sunda di lingkungan keluarga Sunda, dan solusi yang dapat dilakukan guna melestarikan bahasa Sunda di lingkungan keluarga Sunda. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan dengan google form. Jumlah informan yang merespons selama dua pekan sebanyak 102 orang. Adapun hasil penelitiannya adalah dominansi penggunaan bahasa Sunda di lingkungan keluarga Sunda masih mendominasi dibandingkan dengan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia ataupun bahasa campuran (Sunda/Jawa-Indonesia); eksistensi penggunaan bahasa Sunda di lingkungan keluarga Sunda masih terlihat aktif terbukti dengan penggunaannya di berbagai kalangan dan usia dengan persentase yang lebih besar daripada penggunaan bahasa Indonesia/campuran; solusi untuk konservasi bahasa Sunda di lingkungan keluarga Sunda adalah melalui peran orang tua dalam memperkenalkan dan menggunakan bahasa Sunda sebagai bahasa ibu serta membangun kesadaran kepada anak-anaknya akan pentingnya pelestarian bahasa sehingga anak-anak dapat terbiasa dan tidak merasa malu dalam menggunakan bahasa Sunda. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahasa Sunda merupakan warisan budaya yang wajib dilestarikan secara turun-temurun dengan diawali di lingkungan keluarga sehingga konservasi bahasa daerah dapat terjaga. Kata kunci: konservasi bahasa daerah, bahasa Sunda, lingkungan keluarga. AbstractThis research arose from a threat of the loss of Sundanese language in Sundanese family environment. This study aims to describe the dominance of the use of Sundanese, the existence of Sundanese in Sundanese family, and solutions to preserve the language in the Sundanese family. Research method used was descriptive qualitative. Data was obtained through a questionnaire distributed using Google form. The number of respondents in two weeks was 102 people. The results of the research are the use of Sundanese in Sundanese family environment is still more dominant than the use of Indonesian or mixed languages (Sundanese/Javanese-Indonesian) in family communication; the use of Sundanese in Sundanese family environment still exists and is active since the percentage of its use in various circles and ages had a greater percentage than the use of Indonesian/mixed languages. A solution to conserve Sundanese in Sundanese family environment is by having parents introduce and use Sundanese as their mother tongue, and build awareness to their children about the importance of language preservation, so that children can be familiar with the language and do not feel ashamed at using it. It can be concluded that Sundanese is a cultural heritage that must be preserved from one generation to another, starting in the family environment to maintain the conservation of local languages. Keywords: local language conservation, Sundanese, family environment.

Abstract

Artikel ini berusaha menjelaskan bahwa pengetahuan bahasa hukum Indonesia perlu disosialisasikan terhadap semua mahasiswa diseluruh program studi. Mahasiswa sebagai warga negara yang melaksanakan hukum di negara kesatuan Republik Indonesia secara hukum telah memiliki kemampuan bertanggung jawab untuk dirinya sendiri maka diperlukan pengetahuan bahasa hukum Indonesia khususnya mengenai hal-hal mendasar menyangkut kepentingan hukum perorangan. Pengetahuan ini berguna dalam berhubungan antara negara dan warga negara, lalu bagaimana berhubungan antar warga negara yang satu dengan warga negara lainnya dalam artian pemahaman akan bahasa hukum tersebut penting dikuasai oleh seluruh warga negara Indonesia dalam rangka penerapan hukum di Indonesia. Pembahasan dibatasi pada pengetahuan bahasa hukum Indonesia dalam bidang hukum perorangan. Karakteristik bahasa hukum Indonesia tercermin dalam penggunaan istilah-istilah hukum yang berasal dari bahasa serapan lokal dan asing. Mata kuliah Bahasa Indonesia sebagai mata kuliah wajib umum (MKWU) tidak menjamin para mahasiswa mengetahui bahasa hukum Indonesia. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan studi pustaka. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan secara kualitatif tentang pentingnya pengetahuan bahasa hukum Indonesia bagi para mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa para mahasiswa semester awal cenderung keliru dalam menafsirkan peraturan perundang-undangan dan minim pengetahuan tentang arti dan makna dari istilah-istilah hukum. Pengetahuan bahasa hukum dapat disosialisasikan melalui mata kuliah Bahasa Indonesia yang diberikan pada para mahasiswa semester awal di perguruan tinggi.
