Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that church growth cannot be separated from understanding the importance of the management of a congregational pastor in realizing the church's vision. In this case, the role of the pastor's managerial competence is really needed to achieve the church's vision. KIBAID Church is an evangelical church with the vision of "Creating a missionary congregation." Implementation of the vision of "Creating a Missionary Congregation" is very dependent on local churches, one of which is the KIBAID church of the Marinding Congregation. This research aims to discover the role of the pastor's managerial competence in the vision of "Creating a Missionary Congregation" at the KIBAID Congregation of Marinding Church. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The findings in this research are that the pastor's role is to complete the vision with planning, the pastor's role is to share the vision, the pastor's role is to raise enthusiasm, the pastor's role is as a driving force in the church, the pastor's role is as a trainer for the next leader. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta bahwa pertumbuhan gereja tidak terlepas dari pemahaman akan pentingnya manajemen seorang gembala jemaat dalam mewujudkan visi gereja. Dalam hal ini peran kompetensi manajerial gembala sangat dibutuhkan untuk mencapai visi gereja. Gereja KIBAID merupakan salah satu gereja injili dengan visi “Terwujudnya Jemaat yang Misioner”. Implementasi visi “Terwujudnya Jemaat yang Misioner” sangat bergantung pada gereja lokal, salah satunya adalah gereja KIBAID Jemaat Marinding. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan peran kompetensi manajerial gembala dalam visi “Terwujudnya Jemaat yang Misioner” di Gereja KIBAID Jemaat Marinding. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Adapun hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu gembala berperan untuk melengkapi visi dengan perencanaan, gembala berperan membagikan visi, gembala beperan untuk membangkitkan semangat, gembala berperan sebagai penggerak dalam gereja, gembala sebagai pelatih bagi pemimpin berikutnya.

Abstract

An internship is an integration between theory and practice in the field. Carrying out an internship is an opportunity for students to apply and develop the theory they have obtained in learning with direct practice in the field. Micro Counseling is intended to equip Christian Counseling Guidance Study Program students as prospective counseling guidance teachers. In implementing this micro counseling internship activity, assistance from the supervisory lecturer is needed to make this activity run smoothly. In the implementation of assisting students of the Christian Counseling Guidance Study Program in carrying out micro counseling, it is divided into three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the final stage. The results of micro-counseling internship assistance at UPT SDN 13 Gandangbatu Sillanan, show that students can assess the need for guidance and counseling services in elementary schools, develop Christian Counseling Guidance Study program services for elementary school students, and are directly involved in implementing counseling guidance services in schools so that students have sufficient experience and skills to become professional counseling guidance teachers and be able to carry out counseling guidance services in the future responsibly and professionally

Abstract

Abstract. Discipleship is a responsibility mandated by God to the world, especially to the Church. The Church, which is overflowing with the mandate of discipleship, takes a central role in confirming, nurturing and reaching everyone to become disciples of Christ. Youth as an integral part of the church is one of the targets of discipleship that should be considered because they are both a relay and an asset to the church. Discipleship for young people is important so that they are not carried away by the flow of modernity which has the potential to trigger hedonic and materialist attitudes. The KAMBIUM method can be an alternative in reaching youth through discipleship activities. This paper aims to analyze discipleship efforts for youth through the KAMBIUM discipleship method. The research was carried out through a literature study and then the results were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The conclusion of the research is that the KAMBIUM method is relevant for youth where the pattern of teaching is carried out in three stages namely rooted, growing and bearing fruit in Christ. Abstrak. Pemuridan merupakan tanggung jawab yang diamanatkan Allah kepada dunia khususnya bagi gereja. Gereja yang dilimpahi amanat pemuridan, mengambil peran sentral dalam meneguhkan, memelihara dan menjangkau setiap orang menjadi murid Kristus. Pemuda sebagai bagian integral dari gereja menjadi salah satu sasaran pemuridan yang semestinya diperhatikan sebab mereka adalah estafet sekaligus aset bagi gereja. Pemuridan bagi pemuda penting dilakukan supaya mereka tidak terbawa pada arus modernitas yang berpontensi memicu sikap hedonis dan materialis. Metode KAMBIUM dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif dalam menjangkau pemuda melalui kegiatan pemuridan. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis upaya pemuridan bagi pemuda melalui metode pemuridan KAMBIUM. Penelitian dilakukan melalui study pustaka yang kemudian hasilnya dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Kesimpulan pada penelitian adalah metode KAMBIUM relevan diterapkan bagi pemuda di mana pola pengajarannya dilakukan dalam tiga tahap yakni berakar, bertumbuh dan berbuah di dalam Kristus.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the rise of extreme religious attitudes and practices, which have an impact on the many conflicts between religious believers in multicultural societies. In response to this, efforts are needed to prevent conflict between religious communities by living a moderate lifestyle. Religious moderation is a balanced perspective, attitude, and religious practice. This research was conducted using a literature-based descriptive method. This research aims to offer efforts to realize religious moderation in a multicultural society based on Christian hospitality in John 4:1-30. The results of this research show that Jesus showed an example of practicing hospitality in realizing a moderate attitude in religion amidst the socio-religious disruption of Jews and Samaritans through dialogue. Jesus attempted reconciliation in the midst of the tense conflict between the Jews and Samaritans. This is a form of hospitality that reflects a moderate attitude in religion: enemies who become friends. Christian hospitality within the framework of religious moderation seeks to deny excessive fanaticism that leads to fundamentalism and radicalism but embraces differences and builds friendship. This is an important pillar in building unity and integrity in a multicultural society. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh maraknya sikap dan praktek beragama yang ekstrim yang berdampak pada banyaknya konflik antar pemeluk agama dalam masyarakat multikultural. Merespon hal itu, dibutuhkan upaya untuk mencegah konflik antar umat beragama dengan cara hidup moderat. Moderasi beragama merupakan cara pandang, sikap dan praktek beragama yang seimbang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif berbasis literatur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menawarkan upaya mewujudkan moderasi beragama di tengah masyarakat multikultural berdasarkan hospitalitas Kristiani dalam Yohanes 4:1-30. Adapun hasil penelitian ini yaitu Yesus menunjukkan keteladanan dalam mempraktekkan hospitalitas dalam mewujudkan sikap moderat dalam beragama di tengah disrupsi sosial-religi orang Yahudi dan Samaria melalui dialog. Yesus berupaya melakukan sebuah rekonsiliasi di tengah ketegangan konflik antara orang Yahudi-Samaria. Inilah bentuk hospitalitas yang merefleksikan sikap moderat dalam beragama, musuh yang menjadi sahabat.  Hospitalitas Kristiani dalam bingkai moderasi beragama berupaya menafikkan fanatisme berlebih yang mengarah pada fundamentalisme dan radikalisme, tetapi merangkul perbedaan dan membangun persahabatan. Hal inilah yang menjadi pilar penting dalam membangun persatuan dan kesatuan di tengah masyarakat multikultural.

Abstract

This research is motivated by differences in views between revisionists and traditional understanding of the interpretation of Romans 1:26-27. The text in Romans 1:26-27 is traditionally considered and accepted as a text prohibiting even condemning LGBTIQ practices. However, the revisionists view that the acts condemned in Romans 1:26-27 do not refer to people with a homosexual orientation, but homosexuals committed by heterosexual people. This study aims to review the Bible's teaching on LGBTIQ to evaluate the revisionist interpretation of Romans 1:26-27. The approach in this research is qualitative research using hermeneutic methods and literature review. In the view of the revisionists, Romans 1: 26-27 discusses criticism of idol worship, criticism of heterosexuals, not homosexuals, discusses relationships that are unequal and driven by excessive lust. But looking back at Romans 1:26-27, LGBTIQ is a sin that violates God's law and not just as a punishment for idol worship. Paulus views LGBTIQ as a sin and deserves to receive the appropriate punishment for his mistakes. So, based on these findings, the revisionists were more influenced by presuppositions in reinterpreting Romans 1:26-27.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing conflict between religious communities. Therefore, moderate religious perspectives, attitudes, and practices are needed to prevent conflict between religious communities. In its implementation, a hospitality attitude is needed. This is descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques through literature study and text mining using exegesis. This research aims to provide insight into moderate Christian hospitality regarding superior attitudes in congregations and radicalism experienced by Roma congregations, which can be implemented to realize religious moderation in Indonesian society to maintain a harmonious and constructive life without discrimination. Based on a theological study of Romans 12: 17-21, Christians are called to live out Christian hospitality to create good relationships without discriminating against the background. Moderate Christianity can be realized through Christian hospitality by not returning evil for evil but returning evil for good. Christians are called to bring about peace with all people based on love. Therefore, Christians must practice hospitality in their lives in building and practicing a moderate life in religion, especially in the multi-religious context of Indonesia. This research can be developed in the form of a participatory study to see to what extent Christians' understanding of hospitality is embodied in realizing a moderate life in a multireligious society.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the complexity of the debate about LGBTIQ. One of them is This research is motivated by the complexity of the debate about LGBTIQ. One of them is how pastoral care for LGBTIQ people should be. Apart from that, LGBTIQ people experience a lot of discrimination and do not consider LGBTIQ people as human beings. Therefore, this research outlines efforts to help LGBTIQ people through integrative pastoral care using spiritual, social, and psychological approaches. This is descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques, namely library research. The results of this research are pastoral care through spiritual service based on the love of Christ. LGBTIQ people must be guided to true repentance in Jesus Christ. Socially, LGBTIQ people must be loved by accepting their existence as humans but hating their sins. Psychologically, LGBTIQ people should not be avoided, hated, or judged but need to have a reasonable dialogue with them. Therefore, the church needs to build a practice of hospitality for them without having to compromise with their sins. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kerumitan dalam perdebatan tentang LGBTIQ. Salah satunya adalah bagaimana seharusnya pelayanan pastoral terhadap kaum LGBTIQ. Selain itu, kaum LGBTIQ banyak mengalami diskriminasi dan tidak menganggap kaum LGBTIQ sebagai manusia, Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan upaya menolong kaum LGBTIQ melalui pendampingan pastoral yang integratif dengan menggunakan pendekatan spiritual, sosial dan psikologi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu penelitian pustaka. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu pendampingan pastoral melalui pelayanan spiritual yang didasarkan akan kasih Kristus. Kaum LGBTIQ harus dibimbing pada pertobatan sungguh-sungguh dalam Yesus Kristus. Secara sosial, kaum LGBTIQ harus dikasihi dengan menerima keberadaan mereka sebagai manusia tetapi membenci dosanya. Secara psikologi, kaum LGBTIQ tidak boleh dihindari, dibenci atau di hakimi tetapi perlu untuk berdialog dengan mereka secara wajar. Karena itu, gereja perlu membangun praktik hospitalitas bagi mereka tanpa harus berkompromi dengan dosa mereka.

Abstract

Abstract : This study began with the author's concern about the increasing inter-religious conflict triggered by the growth of fundamentalist, radical, fanatical, and extreme behavior in practicing religion. Therefore, a moderate perspective, attitude, and religious practice are needed. To realize religious moderation, religious maturity is needed. This study uses a qualitative descriptive-interpretive approach based on literature studies and exegetical analysis of the Bible text. This study aims to describe the urgency of religious maturity as a logical consequence of the optimal function of religiosity in building a moderate attitude toward religion in the midst of a multireligious society through modeling religious maturity in Luke 10:25-37. The results of this study are that in Luke 10:25-37 there are two types of religion, namely the type of sick soul that is seen in the attitudes of the Imam and Levi and the type of healthy-minded religion that is seen in the Samaritan. The parable of the good Samaritan teaches that fellow human beings are not limited to those of the same religion or denomination, but include all people regardless of their identity. In the context of a multireligious society, the church needs to be a shared home that provides diaconal services for everyone, regardless of religion or denomination. Abstrak: Penelitian ini berangkat dari keresahan penulis terhadap meningkatnya konflik antarumat beragama yang dipicu oleh tumbuhnya perilaku fundamentalis, radikal, fanatik, dan ekstrem dalam menjalankan agama. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan cara pandang, sikap, dan praktik beragama yang moderat. Untuk mewujudkan moderasi beragama, diperlukan kematangan dalam beragama. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif-interpretatif yang didasarkan pada studi literatur dan analisis eksegetis terhadap teks Alkitab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan urgensi kematangan beragama sebagai konsekuensi logis dari optimalnya fungsi religiositas dalam membangun sikap moderat dalam beragama di tengah masyarakat multireligius melalui permodelan pada kematangan beragama dalam Lukas 10:25-37. Adapun hasil penelitian ini yaitu dalam Lukas 10:25-37 terdapat dua tipe keagamaan yaitu tipe the sick soul  yang tampak pada sikap Imam dan Lewi dan tipe keagamaan the healty minded yang tampak pada orang Samaria. Perumpamaan tentang orang Samaria yang baik hati mengajarkan bahwa sesama manusia bukan terbatas pada yang seagama atau se-denominasi, melainkan mencakup semua orang tanpa memandang identitas. Dalam konteks masyarakat multireligius, gereja perlu menjadi rumah bersama yang memberikan pelayanan diakonia bagi semua orang, yang satu agama atau denominasi.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the difference between the idealism and reality of religion in life. Religion idealistically teaches about goodness, peace, and love, which is the strength that enables it to encourage its adherents to fight for love, humanity, peace, and unity in humanising humanity. However, in reality, religion has become one of the instruments that trigger violence, both verbally and physically, as well as prolonged conflict. The purpose of this research is to provide an insight into the philosophical foundation from the perspective of William James's pragmatism in developing moderate behaviour in a multicultural society. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, grounded in library research. The results of this research indicate that William James's pragmatist philosophy emphasises the utility of religion for humans, specifically in improving their moral character. If it is not beneficial, then it should be left alone. William James's pragmatist philosophy holds that every religion possesses a sacredness derived from the divine, which must be treated with mutual respect and appreciation for existing differences. Religious moderation is a concrete form of religious practice that is moderate in confronting religious radicalism, which threatens the very existence of religion and also impacts social, national, and state life. William James's pragmatic philosophy serves as the philosophical foundation for fostering religious moderation amidst religious pluralism in Indonesia, emphasising the effectiveness of truth that is not merely theoretical but also real in its application. Therefore, religious individuals must practice their faith wisely and express their beliefs without relying on extremism and narrow, dogmatic attitudes.
