Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of powtoon learning media on science learning outcomes, especially the substance pressure material for class VIII A students at SMP Negeri 2 Dumoga. The type of research used in this research is experimental research with a pre-experimental research design in the form of a one group pretest posttest design, with a quantitative research approach. In this study, the sample was taken using a total sampling technique with class VIII A as the research sample. The results of the study, it showed that: (1) the average score of student learning outcomes after the application of powtoon learning media was 86.4286 while before being given treatment it was 64.5714. (2) there is an increase in student learning outcomes after applying powtoon learning media by obtaining an average gain value of 0.7342 which is in the high criteria. As for the n-gain percent obtained 73.4177 which is in the criteria of being quite effective. (3) the result of the t-test with the paired sample t-test is 0.01, which means that is accepted. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the use of powtoon learning media is effective for science learning outcomes on substance pressure material for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Dumoga.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effect of Quizizz Media in physics learning on student learning outcomes in Momentum and Impulse material. The research method used in this study is quasi-experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design, namely research conducted in two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Research data were collected using test instruments in the form of essay test questions and data analysis techniques in the form of normality tests, homogeneity and hypothesis tests. The results of the study showed that; 1) From the results of the Quizizz learning media application process, there was a difference between the pretest and posttest scores where the posttest score was better, meaning that there was an increase after being treated; 2) A significant difference between the average posttest results of the experimental and control classes, the learning outcomes of students in the experimental class using Quizizz media obtained an average final test (posttest) of 83.87, while the control class using conventional methods obtained an average posttest of 65.96. Based on the average posttest results, learning using Quizizz media in its learning process has better results. Then a statistical analysis was carried out in the form of a t-test analysis (Independent sample t-test) obtained a sig. value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 so that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Quizizz learning media has an effect on improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to create or design an interactive physics learning media application using MIT App Inventor on GLB and GLBB topics. This research applies the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Circle) method by Luther-Sutopo in the application creation process. The following stages in MDLC are concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution. The Android application created was tested using two stages in MDLC, namely the alpha validator and beta validator, where the alpha validator consisted of material experts and media experts. In contrast, the beta validator comprised 14 students majoring in first-semester physics education. The analytical approach used is a qualitative method and a quantitative method to assess how appropriate the learning media created is. The research shows the results, namely a) Creation of interactive physics learning media based on Android applications using MIT App Inventor on GLB and GLBB topics, b) The level of feasibility of interactive physics learning applications based on Android applications based on media experts, namely 91% or very feasible, and based on material experts. Namely 90.6% or very feasible, and c) Based on the implementation and results of trials with students, the level of feasibility of the Android-based physics interactive learning application is 84.46% or worthy of being an alternative reference source for physics learning on GLB and GLBB topics.
