Abstract

Introduction: The pandemic of COVID-19 has become a burden to the world's health system, in which strategic measures are needed, especially vaccination. However, numbers of challenge have been reported regarding the so-called most effective public health intervention, such as vaccine hesitancy. On top of that, WHO has acknowledged vaccine hesitancy in the top list of 10 most dangerous threats to global health. The spectrum related to the reluctance to receive vaccination in society has also occurred in previous infectious diseases management and during the COVID-19 pandemic. This review aimed to identify factors and mechanism related to COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy in Indonesia. Method: This study provided a review of 14 literatures from 2019 to 2021 using ProQuest and Google Scholar discovered through the selected keywords. The SAGE WG model for vaccine hesitancy framework was used as the main reference in identifying and explaining the associated factors of phenomenon. Results: Based on the analysis of framework, determinants related to confidence crucial in affecting the acceptance level of COVID-19 vaccine in the community. In regard to that aspect, various factors within the scope of individual and social influences, vaccine and vaccination-specific issues, as well as contextual influences may well-explained the plausible mechanism that build hesitancy over vaccination. Accordingly, this study found that mistrust and skepticism related to the effectiveness of vaccine, safety concerns, and adverse reactions discouraged people from getting vaccinated. Furthermore, religious matters such as unavailable halal certification, along with poor socioeconomical factors, and misinformation that were spread through the media also prevent people to receive COVID-19 vaccine and risk the development of herd-immunity toward COVID-19 in the community. Conclusions: Various factors were identified regarding the development of vaccine hesitancy in Indonesia. Understanding the plausible factors and mechanism that prevented people to get COVID-19 vaccine are substantial to strategically address the phenomenon and successfully manage the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. Abstract

The aim of APEC cooperation is to promote sustainable and inclusive economic growth, as well as enhance cooperation and economic integration among its members. This study aims to analyze the influence of economic freedom, foreign direct investment, international trade, labor force, inflation, and the Covid-19 pandemic on economic growth in the 19 APEC member countries using multiple linear regression method. This research examines the impact of economic freedom, foreign direct investment, international trade, labor force, inflation, and the Covid-19 pandemic on economic growth. The analysis results indicate that economic freedom, although important, may have limited impact in weak institutional settings. Conversely, foreign direct investment and international trade have proven to have significant positive effects by bringing capital, technology, and innovation as well as enhancing economic efficiency. Moreover, skilled labor force and controlled inflation also support economic growth. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has caused serious disruptions by disrupting supply chains, decreasing demand, and creating economic uncertainty, highlighting the importance of economic resilience and public health. These findings emphasize the importance of policies supporting these factors to drive sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

The development of advanced construction technology cannot be separated from welding, as it plays an important role in constructing and repairing metal structures. At present, the construction of metal structures involves a lot of welding elements, especially in the field of good quality design. Based on the background, the problem can be formulated, namely, the effect of current strength on strength of Aisi 4340 steel joints after SMAW welding treatment. The research method used is the impact test method to see the results of the influence of strong currents in steel joints. The results of this study are the value of impact toughness at a current variation of 80 Ampere, the first specimen is 0.56080 J/mm2, the second specimen is 0.54811 J/mm2, and the third is 0.51724 J/mm2. The impact toughness value at 95 amps variation of the first sample is 0.01869 J/mm2, the second is 0.05481 J/mm2, and the third is 0.05172 J/mm2. From the test data, it can be seen that the average value of the average impact toughness in the variation of current strength of 80 Ampere and 95 Ampere is 80 Ampere current average impact toughness value of 0.54205 J/mm2 and 95 Ampere current average impact toughness value of 0.04174 J/m2. That the 80 ampere current variation is better and more efficient because it produces a higher toughness value than the 95 ampere current variation.

Abstract

Juvenile Trevallies (Caranx sp) fishing provides superior natural seeds for fish farmers using floating cages. Seeds from nature have a lower mortality rate than from hatcheries, but the activity of fishing and availability of natural seeds has not been a scientific concern. We tried to involve in the process of juveniles trevallies fishing in Ambon bay and interviewed fishers who caught the fish aiming to learn their fishing technique to catch juvenile trevallies, map the fishing ground of Caranx sp in Ambon Bay, and analyze the catches based on social and technical perspectives. Data collection was carried out from May to July 2022. Direct interviews were conducted to respondents from Galala Village, Ambon Municipality. The respondents were fishers who captured juvenile trevallies as seeds, so we could be able to participate in their fishing trips. Respondents were consisted of junior to senior fishers and varied in fishing experience. Since the floating cages were operated at Ambon Bay, the fishing on juvenile trevallies have been started around 2013. Seagrass beds in the inner part of Ambon Bay are the habitats for juvenile trevallies. The small size of juveniles is more abundant than the bigger fish, and the average catch during 5-years interval increased slowly. Based on the social and technical perspective, the practice of juvenile trevallies fishing is categorized as sustainable fishing due to the proportional harvesting to the population productivity. Maintaining trevally population in Ambon Bay, its biological perspctives should be continuedly studied.

Abstract

Asthma is a disease marked by chronic inflammation of the airways, with indications including wheezing, shortness of breath, and/or cough. As reported by GINA, the global prevalence of asthma is 1-18%. One type of asthma is Allergic asthma which is triggered by allergens, like Der p 1 and Der f 1 which upregulate type II immune response to secret IL-4 and IL-13 to upregulate IgE secretion. IgE binds to FcεRI in mast cells to release mediators that cause hypercontraction, this condition leads to asthma. Meanwhile, anti-inflammatory IL-10 manages IgE production by reducing inflammatory cytokine production and changing isotype switching. IgE Production is a crucial step. Therefore, it is essential to explore the cellular and molecular factors that trigger the regulated isotype-switching IgE and its suppressed mechanism, so this review will explore the biological activity of Der p 1 and Der f I and their contribution to inflammation and the role of anti-inflammation in allergic asthma especially isotype switching IgE We used PRISMA approaches, and tools (RSCB PDB, Uniprot, and SMART). The result appeared Der p 1, and Der f 1 activity have impacts on IL-4, IL-13, IL-10, and IgE secretion.
