Abstract

AbstractThe Liong Ornaments on the roof of Tay Kak Sie Temple in Semarang Central Java are influenced by the various contributions of art and culture to its creation. The issues raised in this research, namely: 1) How Liong ornaments form on the roof of Tay Kak Sie Temple are; 2) How art elements on Liong ornaments on the roof of Tay Kak Sie Temple; 3) What are the contributions of art and culture to the creation of Liong ornaments on the roof of Tay Kak Sie Temple Semarang Central Java. The purpose of this study is to provide an explanation of Liong ornament form on the roof of Tay Kak Sie Temple; art elements on Liong ornaments on the roof of Tay Kak Sie Temple; and cultural art contribution to the creation of Liong statue ornament on the roof of Tay Kak Sie Temple Semarang Central Java. This research uses qualitative method with case study approach. Ornaments Liong statue on the roof of Tay Kak Sie Temple is a three-dimensional work with simplification and deformation techniques. Liong statue ornament is an imitative form of Chinese mythology animal. The texture of the ornament, ie smooth, smooth wavy, and rough. Liong Ornaments use seven colors and contain elements of blue monochromatic color. Liong Ornaments are included in imitative artwork with a style of naturalist expression. Expression of ornaments, namely anger, ambition, and firmness. Liong ornaments form on the roof of Tay Kak Sie Temple Semarang Central Java influenced by the factors of artists, culture, the influence of the Ming Dynasty, the location of the temple, and trust.Keywords: Contribution of Cultural Art, Creation, Liong Ornament, Temple

Abstract

Numerous cultural potencies in Sumedang regency scattered all over the region include historical landmark, heirloom, sites and artefact. Historical landmarks inspiring distinct souvenir from Sumedang are (1) Museum of Prabu Geusan Ulun that keeps copious royal articles and heirloom belonging to King of Sumedang and Regent of Sumedang. It is located in the site of Sumedang Regency Pendopo (a large covered porch or veranda in front of a house) established in 1705; (2) Loji Tower built in 1800s located in the rubber plantation owned by a German man; (3) Lingga Monument on Sumedang square, built in 1922, was officially inaugurated by Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies, Dirk Fock, and Tumenggung Kusumadilaga on July 22nd, 1922; (4) Prince Aria Soeria Atmadja was the last reputable Sumedang Regent contributed greatly to development and people prosperity in Sumedang. The methods used in the creation of a product are iconography and experiment. The product is a souvenir design of the icon Prince Aria Soeria Atmadja.Keywords: Iconography, Merchandise, Sumedang________________________________________________________________ Beragam potensi budaya di kabupaten Sumedang tersebar di berbagai daerah  seperti bangunan bersejarah, benda pusaka, situs dan artefak. Salah satu bangunan sejarah yang menjadi inspirasi cinderamata khas Sumedang adalah (1) Museum Prabu Geusan Ulun misalnya memiliki berbagai benda dan barang pusaka raja Sumedang dan bupati kabupaten Sumedang. Museum Prabu Geusan Uun terletak di kompleks Pendopo Kabupaten Sumedang yang berdiri sejak tahun 1705; (2) Menara Loji berdiri sejak tahun 1800an yang berdiri di kawasan perkebunan karet milik orang Jerman; (3) Monumen Lingga yang terletak di alun-alun Sumedang. Monumen ini berdiri sejak tahun 1922 yang diresmikan oleh Gubernur Jenderal Hindia Belanda Dirk Fock dan Tumenggung Kusumadilaga pada tanggal 22 Juli 1922. 4) Pangeran Aria Soeria Atmadja adalah bupati Sumedang terakhir yang banyak berjasa pada pembangunan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat Sumedang. Metode penciptaan yang digunakan adalah ikonografi dan eksperimen. Hasil penciptaan berupa desain cinderamata ikon Pangeran Aria Soeria Atmadja.Kata Kunci: Ikonografi, Cinderamata, Sumedang

Abstract

Vessel is an artefact from the past easily found in archaeological sites in Indonesia or Asia. Vessels have important roles and functions in society, especially traditional society. Vessel’s primary function is a water container. Its another function is an instrument to support cultural rites in the archipelago. As instruments to support cultural rites, vessels are used in almost all parts of Indonesia regions. Vessels also serve as instruments to support sociocultural and religious rites. Regarding their many functions, vessels must be maintaned to support various kinds of archipelago culture.Keywords: Vessel, Pottery, Culture___________________________________________________________________Kendi merupakan artefak peninggalan masa lampau yang banyak ditemukan pada situs purbakala di Indonesia maupun di Asia. Kendi mempuyai fungsi dan peranan penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat, khususnya pada masyarakat tradisional. Fungsi utama dari kendi adalah sebagai wadah air minum, tetapi ada juga fungsi kendi yang lain, yaitu sebagai perlengkapan ritual kebudayaan yang ada di nusantara. Fungsi kendi sebagai pendukung ritual kebudayaan tidak sebatas pada ruang lingkup daerah tertentu, tetapi digunakan hampir di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Kendi tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai wadah air semata, tetapi juga merupakan perlengkapan ritual sosial budaya, dan bahkan pada ritual keagamaan. Mencermati banyaknya fungsi kendi sebagai pendukung kebudayaan di nusantara ini, membuat kendi tidak dapat dipandang sebelah mata. Diperlukan segala daya dan upaya yang intensif agar kendi dapat terus menjadi pendukung di berbagai jenis kebudayaan nusantara.Kata Kunci: Kendi, Gerabah, Kebudayaan

Abstract

Glasses are parts of human life. People wear them for various reasons. Yet, many have complained about inconveniences while they are using it. Thus, the writer designed glasses made of denim decorated with mega mendung ornament. The design process was initiated by collecting data or references through both a literature study and a pictorial study. The glasses were made of denim waste of the home industry that had gone through stiffening. In addition, the vintage style is shown by its round-shaped frames. Also, the mega mendung ornament decorating the glasses temples is an effort to preserve Indonesian, especially West Java art and culture heritage.  Keywords: Glasses, Denim, Mega Mendung------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Kacamata dipakai manusia karena beragam alasan sesuai kebutuhan masing-masing individu. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kacamata merupakan barang yang sangat melekat dan sulit dipisahkan dengan kehidupan masyarakat. Namun seringkali ditemui banyak orang yang mengeluh tentang ketidaknyamanan mereka saat menggunakan kacamata. Perancangan Kacamata Denim dengan Motif Mega Mendung ini menggunakan beberapa metode atau tahapan untuk mencari data yang diperlukan sebagai referensi dalam pembuatan karya, sebagai berikut: 1.Studi Literatur; 2. Studi Piktorial. Kacamata ini dibuat dengan memanfaatkan bahan denim sisa industri rumahan yang melalui proses pengkakuan. Selain itu, bingkai kacamata dibuat dengan desain vintage yaitu lensa yang berbentuk bulat. Lalu di bagian luar gagang kacamata menerapkan dekorasi ornamen Mega Mendung sebagai bentuk upaya melestarikan seni dan kebudayaan Indonesia khususnya Jawa Barat. Kata Kunci: Kacamata, Denim, Mega Mendung

Abstract

Objek kajian ini adalah ornamen patung Liong pada atap Kelenteng di Jawa Tengah dan Yogyakarta, yaituKelenteng Tay Kak Sie di Semarang, Kelenteng Tien Kok Sie di Surakarta, dan Kelenteng Tjen Liong Kiong diYogyakarta. Rumusan masalah yang diangkat yaitu, 1) Bagaimana bentuk ornamen Liong pada atap kelentengdi Jawa Tengah dan Yogyakarta?; 2) Bagaimana perbedaan ornamen Liong pada atap kelenteng di JawaTengah dan Yogyakarta?; 3) Mengapa ornamen Liong pada atap kelenteng di Jawa Tengah dan Yogyakartamemiliki perbedaan? Seni patung dapat dikaji dari unsur seni bentuk, tekstur, posisi, warna, gaya, dan ekspresi.Cara penelitian ini dengan prosedur penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian inimenemukan perbandingan dan perbedaan ornamen patung Liong pada atap Kelenteng di Jawa Tengah danYogyakarta, dipengaruhi oleh faktor seniman, kebudayaan, Dinasti Ming, lokasi, dan kepercayaan.Kata kunci: Tionghoa, Liong, kelenteng.

Abstract

The following written presentation is a track record of Community Service (PKM) activities that took place at Taman Griya Mitra Desa Cinunuk Cileunyi Bandung. The activities carried out were to optimize the function and role of a park at the gate of the housing complex, which has existed for a long time but has not been well maintained and only one year ago received assistance from the government in its arrangement and development. Since being renovated and repaired with the addition of huts, swings, slides and scales as well as the arrangement of ornamental trees, this park has been widely visited and is a representative children's playground. Through the implementation of the night market in the park environment, it will be able to increase the utility value of the park which is not only for playing but also as a place for art and improving the economy of the surrounding community. Through cooperation between the Community, Entrepreneurs (UMKM) Universities (through PKM activities) Related Agencies, the Cultural Conservation Center can realize the assistance of the Salamon Market night market as a means of creativity and growing the community's economy. With the scientific approach of management and procedures in managing an exhibition as the basis for organizing a market, a representative market event will be realized. The result of organizing Salamon Market is the realization of collaboration from various elements in making the market event a success in a public park and urban environment. The public's response can be seen from the number of participants in filling the art performance event, participating in stalls, watching the Bioling film screening, participating in healthy gymnastics, practicing batik, coloring motifs for children, and a batik fashion show for residents.
