Abstract

One of the negative impacts of increasing gadget users for mankind is the impact of gadgets on household communication patterns. Therefore, this study aims to find out what are the influences of gadgets on communication in the family using qualitative methods, namely by using interviews and observations. The results of this study show the influence of the use of gadgets in communication in the family is the deterioration of communication and relationships in the family, loss of empathy and concern for the outside environment and children feel foreign and parents lose their roles. The influence of the use of gadgets in family communication can occur due to excessive use of gadgets so that it can have a negative impact on parent-child communication in the family. The intensity of direct communication between parents and children becomes reduced because they are too engrossed in using gadgets, interaction and communication with the outside environment is also lacking which makes it difficult for children to empathize and care and parents who are addicted to gadgets will be more negligent with responsibilities at home so as to make children feel foreign because of lack of affection. From this study, it is hoped that future research can examine more deeply the influence of gadgets that can be caused by family communication and can make this research a reference in knowing what are the effects of gagdet on family communication. _____________________________________________________________ Salah satu pengaruh negatif meningkatnya pengguna gadget bagi umat manusia adalah pengaruh gadget terhadap pola komunikasi rumah tangga. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa saja pengaruh yang ditimbulkan gadget terhadap komunikasi dalam keluarga dengan menggunakan metode kualititatif, yaitu dengan menggunakan wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan pengaruh dari penggunaan gadget dalam komunikasi dalam keluarga adalah memburuknya komunikasi dan hubungan dalam keluarga, hilangnya rasa empati dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan luar dan anak merasa asing serta orang tua kehilangan perannya. Pengaruh penggunaan gadget dalam komunikasi keluarga dapat terjadi dikarenakan penggunaan gadget yang berlebihan sehingga dapat berdampak negatif pada komunikasi orangtua-anak dalam keluarga. Intensitas komunikasi langsung antara orang tua dan anak menjadi berkurang karena terlalu asyik menggunakan gadget, interaksi dan komunikasi dengan lingkungan luar juga kurang yang menimbulkan anak susah berempati dan peduli, orang tua yang kecanduan gadget akan semakin lalai dengan tanggung jawab dirumah sehingga membuat anak merasa asing karna kurang kasih sayang. Dari penelitian ini diharapkan untuk penelitian selanjutnya dapat mengkaji lebih dalam pengaruh gadget yang dapat ditimbulkan terhadap komunikasi keluarga dan bisa menjadikan penelitian ini sebagai acuan dalam mengetahui apa saja pengaruh gagdet terhadap komunikasi keluarga.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of guidance and counseling on the emotional level of the workforce in the Mental Hospital. The subjects of this study were nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists and other mental hospital staff. The technique we use in this research is literature review. Workers in mental hospitals do not take care of people who are mentally fine, which certainly makes their emotional level disturbed too. Workers in mental hospitals are expected to be able to control their emotions because working in mental hospitals has become a decision that workers make, so they are required to work professionally

Abstract

Self-confidence is often a problem among adolescents, based on the background of research adolescents have diverse self-confidence. From the results of preliminary data, male adolescents are worried about getting negative assessments from the surrounding environment for performance in doing work, while female adolescents are worried about expressing different opinions to others, thus causing adolescents not confident to be actively involved in community activities, the purpose of this study is to determine whether there are differences in the level of self-confidence of adolescents based on gender. Self-confidence that will be examined is self-confidence, optimistic, objective, responsible, rational, realistic. This study aims to determine differences in self-confidence based on gender in The Hok village, Jambi City. Using quantitative research, with comparative research methods. The study population was 1459 adolescents who were divided into 798 male adolescents and 661 female adolescents, the sampling technique in this study used the Arikunto technique which resulted in 160 samples of male adolescents and 132 samples of female adolescents with a total of 292 samples. Data collection uses a Likert scale, data is analyzed using formula C and different tests through independent sample t-tests. The results of research on Differences in Self-Confidence Based on Adolescent Gender in The Hok Village, Jambi City, the percentage of formula C adolescent boys has a medium percentage of 58.5%, while the percentage of self-confidence of adolescent girls is 63.3% in the high category. The results of the hypothesis test obtained the results of Sig. (2-Tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 and from comparing the t-count and t-table where the t-count value (6.301) > t-table (1.960), the hypothesis is accepted, which means that there are differences in adolescent self-confidence based on gender.
