Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara harga diri dengan kecenderungan anorexia nervosa pada remaja perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 160 remaja perempuan yang dipilih menggunakan teknik non-probabilitas, yaitu snowball sampling. Harga diri diukur menggunakan Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale (RSES), sementara kecenderungan anorexia nervosa diukur menggunakan Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-26). Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai -0,056 dengan p = 0,242 (p > 0,05), yang berarti tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara harga diri dengan kecenderungan anorexia nervosa pada remaja perempuan.

Abstract

This research aimed to examine whether there is an influence of gratitude on FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) behavior among teenage TikTok users in Waingapu City. The research method used was quantitative correlational with an accidental sampling technique. The number of subjects in this study was 138 teenagers from Waingapu who actively use TikTok. Data collection was conducted using two psychological scales: the gratitude scale and the FOMO scale, both of which had been tested for validity and reliability. The correlational test was carried out using linear regression analysis with bootstrapping, and the correlation coefficient obtained was -0.344, p = 0.036. This indicates that when gratitude increases by one unit, FOMO tends to decrease by 0.344 units. The t-value = -117 suggests that this effect is fairly strong.

Abstract

Students as academics are expected to have their own awareness in developing their own potential and regulate their academic self to become intellectuals, scientists, practitioners and/or professionals, one of which is by making a final assignment or thesis. The demands and various obstacles in completing a thesis often encourage the emergence of academic anxiety, thus affecting students' self-regulated learning abilities in the process of completing the thesis. This research aims to empirically determine the relationship between academic anxiety and self-regulated learning of students who are working on their thesis. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational design. The sampling method used purposive sampling with respondents as many as 140 students who were working on their thesis. The research measurements used an academic anxiety measuring instrument (α = 0.859) and a self-regulated learning measuring instrument (α = 0.895). The research results prove that academic anxiety and self-regulated learning in students who are working on their thesis have a significant negative relationship (r = -0.463) with an effective contribution of academic anxiety of 21% to self-regulated learning. Abstract

Penelitian ini diangkat dari fenomena dimana kebanyakan mahasiswa perempuan usia dewasa awal berlomba-lomba dalam mempercantik diri dengan menggunakan produk-produk kecantikan, melakukan diet, dan selalu merasa insecure dengan penampilannya padahal secara fisik terlihat cantik dan memiliki bentuk badan yang proposional bahkan ketika individu tersebut memiliki kepribadian ekstrovert. Hal ini terjadi karena beberapa faktor diantaranya faktor kepribadian, media sosial, hubungan interpersonal, dan teman sebaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara kepribadian ekstrovert dengan body image. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik non- probability sampling dengan jenis sampling accidental sampling. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan untuk kepribadian (X) dengan body image (Y) p= 0.593 > 0,005 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara kepribadian ekstrovert dengan body image pada mahasiswa perempuan usia dewasa awal Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between adjustment and academic stress in new students at the Faculty of Psychology, Satya Wacana Christian University. This research was conducted on 308 students using a correlational quantitative approach. Data were obtained using the adjustment scale The Adaptation To Student College Questionnaire (SACQ) (Baker and Siryk, 1989) and the Student-Life Stress Inventory academic stress scale developed by Gadzella (2005). The results of the correlational test were carried out using Product Moment correlation and obtained a correlation coefficient of -0.380 with a sig value. = 0.000 (p<0.01), which means there is a negative relationship between adjustment and academic stress in new students at the UKSW Faculty of Psychology

Abstract

Fear of missing out is a feeling of anxiety, worry and fear that a person experiences when they feel left behind by other people's experiences which they consider more valuable than their own. One of the factors that influences the fear of missing out is the ability to control oneself. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between self-control carried out on 101 teenagers, aged 15-18 years who actively used Tiktok social media, with a correlational quantitative approach. Data was obtained using a self-control scale modified by (Ghufron & Rini, 2010), namely: behavioral control, cognitive control, and decisional control and a fear of missing out (FOMO) scale based on aspects proposed by Przybylski, Murayama, DeHaan and Gladwell (2013). The results of the correlational test were carried out using Product Moment correlation and obtained a correlation coefficient of -0.380 with a sig value. = 0.000 (p<0.01), which means there is a negative relationship between self-control and the tendency to fear of missing out in teenagers who are active users of Tiktok social media.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the picture of learned optimism in early adult women who are survivors of dating violence. Learned optimism is a concept that focuses on an individual's ability to develop a positive outlook and overcome challenges in a more constructive way. This research uses a case study involving two early adult female participants, data was collected through interviews and naturalistic observation. The research results show that the application of learned optimism such as positive thinking significantly helps in reducing the negative influence of the violence experienced. The picture of learned optimism that emerges is efforts to stop violence, belief that violence will end, not focusing on one problem, generalization of optimism, efforts to escape violence. Apart from that, social support from the environment also plays an important role in forming learned optimism.
