Abstract

Latar Belakang: Gaya hidup masyarakat yang lebih seperti makanan cepat saji dan kurang gerak dapat menyebabkan berbagai masalah kesehatan termasuk hipertensi, gagal jantung, diabetes mellitus, stroke, dan penyakit ginjal. Hipertensi merupakan masalah kesehatan yang dialami oleh banyak orang lanjut usia (lansia). Salah satu cara untuk mencegah komplikasi hipertensi dan untuk melatih lansia untuk aktif bergerak adalah dengan memberikan intervensi senam lansia.  Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh senam lansia sebagai terapi non farmakologi dalam menurunkan tekanan darah pada lansia.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian Quasy Eksperiment dengan desain one group Pre and Post test design. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah lansia yang berada pada wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kuin Raya sebanyak 32 orang.Hasil: uji statistik menggunakan uji wilcoxon didapatkan nilai p value 0,000 yang mana nilai tersebut lebih kecil dari nilai α sehingga hipotesis diterima yaitu ada pengaruh senam lansia sebagai terapi non farmakologi dalam menurunkan tekanan darah pada lansia.Kesimpulan: Pengobatan hipertensi khususnya pada lansia perlu mendapatkan modifikasi dengan menambahkan terapi nonfarmakologi yaitu dengan melakukan senam lansia sehingga efek pengobatan lebih cepat dicapaiKata Kunci: Senam Lansia, Hipertensi, NonfarmakologiThe Effect of Elderly Exercise as a Non-Pharmacological Therapy in Lowering Blood Pressure in the ElderlyBackground: People's lifestyles that include fast food and lack of movement can cause various health problems including hypertension, heart failure, diabetes mellitus, stroke and kidney disease. Hypertension is a health problem experienced by many elderly people. One way to prevent hypertension complications and to train the elderly to be active is to provide elderly exercise interventions.Objective: To determine the effect of elderly exercise as a non-pharmacological therapy in lowering blood pressure in the elderly.Method: This research is a quantitative research using a Quasy Experiment research design with a one group Pre and Post test design. The subjects in this study were 32 elderly people who were in the working area of the Kuin Raya Community Health Center.Results: statistical tests using the Wilcoxon test obtained a p value of 0.000, which is smaller than the α value so that the hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is an effect of elderly exercise as a non-pharmacological therapy in lowering blood pressure in the elderly.Conclusion: Treatment of hypertension, especially in the elderly, needs to be modified by adding non-pharmacological therapy, namely by doing elderly exercises so that the treatment effect is achieved more quickly.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Fenomena kurang percaya diri sering terjadi pada mahasiswa DIII Keperawatan yang sedang berpraktik klinik, hal ini terlihat dari mahasiswa merasa kurang memiliki keberanian maupun sering merasa gagal dan gugup saat melakukan prosedur tindakan keperawatan. Rasa takut berbuat salah atau kurang percaya diri akhirnya akan berdampak pada minimnya pengalaman klinik mahasiswa selama di lahan praktik. Adanya hubungan yang baik antara preseptor dan mahasiswa akan mampu membantu meningkatkan rasa percaya diri dan akan berdampak pada kemampuan mahasiswa dalam melakukan prosedur tindakan selama mahasiswa tersebut berpraktik.Tujuan: untuk mengetahui hubungan pendampingan preseptor terhadap rasa percaya diri mahasiswa ketika melakukan prosedur keperawatan di Rumah Sakit. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 45 orang mahasiswa DIII KeperawatanHasil: Hasil uji statistik menggunakan chi square didapatkan nilai ρ = 0,585 α = 0,05, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara pendampingan preseptor terhadap rasa percaya diri mahasiswa ketika melakukan prosedur keperawatan di Rumah Sakit.Simpulan: Pihak institusi pendidikan memiliki andil yang besar dalam rangka memberi kesempatan kepada mahasiswanya untuk mempraktekan prosedur tindakan keperawatan di laboratorium keperawatan sebelum terjun langsung praktik di rumah sakit sehingga dalam diri mahasiswa sudah tertanam rasa percaya diri yang tinggi dan nantinya mampu melaksanakan tindakan keperawatan baik didamping preseptor ataupun tidak Kata Kunci: Mahasiswa, Preseptor, Rasa Percaya Diri The Relationship of Preseptor Mentoring to Students Confidence When Doing Nursing Procedures In Hospital Background: The phenomenon of lack of self-confidence often occurs in DIII Nursing students who are practicing clinically, this can be seen from students feeling less courageous and often feeling failed and nervous when carrying out nursing procedures. The fear of making mistakes or lack of confidence will ultimately have an impact on the lack of clinical experience for students while in practice. The existence of a good relationship between the preceptor and the student will be able to help increase self-confidence and will have an impact on the student's ability to carry out action procedures while the student is practicing.Purpose: to determine the relationship between tutor mentoring and student self-confidence when carrying out nursing procedures at the hospital. The sample in this study was 45 students of DIII Nursing.Results: The results of statistical tests using chi square obtained a value of = 0.585 = 0.05, this indicates that there is no relationship between the mentoring of receptors on the students' self-confidence when performing nursing procedures at the hospital.Conclusion: The educational institution has a big role in providing opportunities for students to practice nursing action procedures in the nursing laboratory before going directly to practice in the hospital so that students have high self-confidence and will be able to carry out nursing actions either accompanied by a preceptor or not.. Keywords: Confidence, Precept, Student

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Uji kompetensi adalah proses pengukuran pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan perilaku peserta didik pada perguruan tinggi yang menyelenggarakan program studi keperawatan. Menghadapi uji kompetensi pada tahun 2023 prodi DIII Keperawatan Fakultas Keperawatan dan Ilmu Kesehatan Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin membutuhkan strategi untuk mencapai tingkat kelulusan yang maksimal.Tujuan: untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembekalan terhadap nilai uji kompetensi mahasiswa Program Studi DIII Keperawatan Fakultas Keperawatan dan Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin tahun 2023. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah peserta yang akan mengikuti uji kompetensi tahun 2023 sebanyak 22 orang. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian Quasy Eksperiment dengan desain one group Pre and Post test design.Hasil: uji statistik menggunakan uji wilcoxon didapatkan nilai p value 0,000 yang mana nilai tersebut lebih kecil dari nilai α sehingga hipotesis diterima yaitu ada pengaruh metode pembekalan terhadap nilai uji kompetensi mahasiswa prodi DIII keperawatan tahun 2023.Kesimpulan: Metode pembelajaran dan gaya belajar yang saat ini diterapkan perlu mendapatkan modifikasi sehingga dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan keaktifan mahasiswa. Metode pembekalan menjadi salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan karena dapat meningkatakan pencapain kelulusan uji kompetensi. Background: Competency assessment is the process of measuring the knowledge, skills, and behavior of students in universities that organize nursing study programs. Facing the competency test in 2023, the DIII Nursing study program at the Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin requires a strategy to achieve maximum graduation rates.Objective: to determine the effect of debriefing methods on the competency test scores of DIII Nursing Study Program students at the Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences, Muhammadiyah University of Banjarmasin in 2023. The subjects in this study were 22 participants who will take the competency test in 2023.Method: This study is a quantitative study using Quasy Experiment research design with one group Pre and Post test design.Results: statistical tests using the Wilcoxon test obtained a p value of 0.000 which is smaller than the α value so that the hypothesis is accepted, namely there is an effect of debriefing methods on the competency test scores of DIII nursing study program students in 2023.Conclusion: The learning methods and learning styles that are currently applied need to be modified so that they can increase student motivation and activeness. The debriefing method is one of the efforts that can be made because it can increase the achievement of competency test graduation.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Kecemasan sangat berkaitan dengan perasaan tidak pasti dan tidak berdaya. Kecemasan dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor baik internal maupun eksternal, salah satu faktor eksternal adalah komunikasi terapeutik perawat dan kondisi medis berupa informasi yang diberikan perawat kepada pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Komunikasi Terapeutik dengan tingkat kecemasan pasien yang akan dilakukan pemasangan infus. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua pasien yang datang ke UGD RSUD Balangan serta memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 70 orang responden dengan teknik accidental sampling. Hasil: Analisa data menggunakan koefisien korelasi spearmen rank (Rho) menunjukkan komunikasi terapeutik pada responden sebesar 91,4 % dengan hasil komunikasi kurang baik. Kecemasan ringan sebesar 91,4% atau sebanyak 64 responden dengan nilai p value 0,001. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara komunikasi terapeutik dengan tingkat kecemasan pasien di UGD RSUD Balangan. Saran: : Pentingnya memberikan informasi yang baik kepada pasien sehingga dapat menguragi kecemasan dengan membuat standar prosedur operasional (SPO) mengenai komunikasi terapeutik dan dapat digunakan sebagai acuan untuk memberikan penyuluhan kesehatan tentang kecemasan pada pasien yang terindikasi mengalami gangguan kecemasan.

Abstract

Background: Stroke is one of the major health problems; early recognition of stroke signs and symptoms plays a crucial role and is a key factor in its management. Counseling on the BEFAST method (Balance Loss, Eyesight Change, Facial Movement, Arm Movement, Speech, Time) is necessary to enhance public awareness of early stroke detection. Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect of health counseling using the BEFAST method on increasing knowledge of early detection of stroke signs and symptoms among hypertensive patients. Method: The study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest and posttest approach. The population consisted of hypertensive patients treated at Puskesmas Simpang Empat 2, with a total sample of 64 individuals selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon signed rank test. Result: Before counseling, most respondents had moderate knowledge of early stroke detection (64.2%, 43 respondents). After counseling, the majority of respondents demonstrated improved knowledge in the good category (94%, 63 respondents). The analysis showed a significant effect of the BEFAST method on increasing knowledge of early stroke detection (ρ = 0.000). Conclusion: These findings suggest that the BEFAST method can be used as an effective approach in health education to improve public awareness of early stroke signs and symptoms.

Abstract

Stroke is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, ranking third after coronary heart disease and cancer. There are two main types of stroke: ischemic and hemorrhagic, which can affect various aspects of the lives of those affected. Timely and appropriate treatment during the golden window, which lasts about three hours after a stroke occurs, is crucial to reducing the risk of disability. In Indonesia, public awareness regarding stroke symptoms and initial management steps remains relatively low, contributing to the high incidence of stroke. This study aims to analyze the impact of BE-FAST educational videos on the knowledge of families of stroke patients at Puskesmas Kuin Raya. The research method employed is a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test approach. The results indicate that before the intervention, 56.38% of family members of stroke patients had a sufficient level of knowledge, while after the intervention, 61.70% showed an improvement to a good level of knowledge. The Wilcoxon test yielded a p-value of 0.001, indicating a significant effect of the BE-FAST educational video on enhancing the knowledge of families of stroke patients. This study recommends that Puskesmas provide more engaging and effective educational media to increase public awareness and knowledge about stroke.

Abstract

Background: Due to the large number of patient visits to the Emergency Room, a triage system is needed to sort out patients who are prioritized to get service first to anticipate patient density and avoid patients not being helped or dying due to not getting help quickly. The distribution of triage is one of the common causes for families to feel anxious, especially if the family does not understand the triage system used, they will feel neglected and fear if their family members do not get immediate health care. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between patient triage and family anxiety levels in the Emergency Room. Method: This study used a qualitative approach with cross sectional design and 107 people. Sampling technique using Consecutive Sampling. Result: Statistical test results using Spearman Rank obtained p value = 0.012. Conclusion: There is a relationship triage of patients with family anxiety levels in the Emergency Room.

Abstract

Background: Anxiety is a reaction that can be experienced by anyone, which if excessive anxiety will cause interference and hinder a person's function in life. Anxiety arises when there is a lack of communication between patients and nurses because the spearhead of health is the nurse. nurses must have good communication with patients in order to provide understanding to patients about their illness. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship of effective communication to patient anxiety with catheter insertion in the emergency room. Methods: This study used correlative analytics. The population was patients with catheter insertion and the sample amounted to 48 people. Sampling with purposive sampling. Results: The statistical test results obtained p value (0.001) < α (0.05) so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between effective communication and patient anxiety with catheter insertion in the emergency room. Conclusion: Nurses must have the ability to carry out effective communication so as to reduce patient anxiety in the emergency room.

Abstract

Cardiac arrest is a condition where the heart suddenly stops beating. This condition causes the heart to lose its function, namely to pump blood throughout the body, so that the brain and other vital organs in the body such as the liver and lungs do not receive blood flow and oxygen. So if there is a delay and inaccuracy in providing help it can have fatal consequences for the victim, causing further brain damage and death. This research aims to determine the effect of providing health education using the simulation method on basic life support knowledge of students at SMAN 1 Banjarmasin. This research uses a quantitative research type with a pre-experimental design with a one group pre-test post-test approach. The population in this study was 372 people with a sample of 80 people calculated using the Slovin formula. Sampling was carried out using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire with 19 questions related to knowledge about Basic Life Support with the Wilcoxon Matched Pairs statistical test. The results of statistical tests in this study showed that the ρ value (0.001) <α (0.05) so it can be concluded that there is an influence of health education using the simulation method on the basic life support knowledge of students at SMAN 1 Banjarmasin. It is hoped that students can apply it to emergency conditions such as cardiac arrest.

Abstract

Pasien Intensive Care Unit (ICU) umumnya berada dalam kondisi kritis yang berdampak pada pasien dan menimbulkan tekanan emosional bagi keluarga. Ketidakpastian informasi medis serta terbatasnya komunikasi dengan tenaga kesehatan dapat memicu kecemasan. Perawat berperan penting memberikan edukasi untuk membantu menurunkan kecemasan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh pemberian edukasi oleh perawat terhadap kecemasan keluarga pasien di ICU. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental one group pretest-posttest pada 41 responden keluarga pasien, dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) sebelum dan sesudah edukasi. Analisis Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test dengan α = 0,05 menunjukkan penurunan kecemasan signifikan (p = 0,000). Sebelum intervensi, sebagian besar responden mengalami kecemasan ringan hingga sedang, sedangkan setelah intervensi mayoritas berada pada kategori tidak cemas, dengan sebagian kecil masih cemas ringan. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa edukasi perawat efektif menurunkan kecemasan keluarga pasien ICU, sehingga perlu dijadikan bagian rutin asuhan keperawatan untuk membantu keluarga beradaptasi menghadapi kondisi kritis pasien.
