Abstract

The feces waste treatment installation (IPLT) pond capacity of Banjarbaru is 20 M3/ day, while the maximum amount per month in 2022 is only 11 M3 of household fecal waste that goes into IPLT. This shows that the excrement that enters the IPLT is below the IPLT capacity of Banjarbaru because currently, the sludge service has yet to be scheduled and is still using the on-call system. Meanwhile, Banjarbaru Regional Regulation No. 1 of 2021 regarding scheduled sludge services in Banjarbaru already exists. This study aims to identify and evaluate the existing conditions of the sludge service in Banjarbaru and develop recommendations for improving the sludge service in Banjarbaru. The method used in this research is a descriptive method using a questionnaire and conducting interviews with people who have used sludge services in 2022. Calculation of the results of the questionnaire uses a Likert scale, validity, and reliability tests. The results of the identification through the questionnaire revealed that the IPLT had been actively carried out with the on-call system; if implementing the scheduled feces sludge service (LLTT), several processes had to be improved, and the results of the evaluation stated that the community did not agree with the fees charged for the LLTT. Recommendations for sludge services are increasing the number of fleets, promoting sludge services, and improving the administration system.

Abstract

- The business of sasirangan - the conventional texture of Banjar Tribe - has been one of the superb items of South Kalimantan. Sasirangan creation in the shading system utilizes many synthetic components containing weighty metals, which is and its waste possibly dirties the climate. One weighty metal squanders copper (Cu), poisonous to sea-going living beings and people. The treatment for Sasirangan modern wastewater should be possible by an adsorption cycle that utilizations enacted carbon as an adsorbent. This study intends to decide the capacity of enacted carbon produced using rice husk to adsorb Cu from sasirangan fluid burn by dissecting the impact of contact time and adsorbent dose on the adsorption interaction. The bunch framework led the activity with substance and actual actuation. Synthetic initiation was finished by dousing the enacted carbon of rice husk with HCl answer for 24 hours. Simultaneously, actual enactment was done by consuming a heater at 500C for 2 hours. The adsorption treatment was given on sasirangan burn through examples with varieties in contact time (30, 60, and 120 minutes) and the adsorbent portion (2, 4, and 6 grams). The highest productivity of contained Cu decrease is 72.34% utilizing carbon with initiation. The ideal contact time expected in the adsorption cycle of weighty metal Cu in Sasirangan liquid waste is 120 minutes, with the ideal portion of 4 grams of actuated rice husk carbon adsorbent.

Abstract

Biomass energy can be used as a substitute for petroleum fuel (fossil) by converting it into briquettes which have a high calorific value. The aim of the study was to analyze the effect of variations in the composition of raw materials on the characteristics of the waste briquettes of galam bark and rubber seed shells in used cooking oil immersion. The independent variables in this study were variations in the composition of raw material for galam bark waste: rubber seed shell, namely 70%: 30%; 60%:40%; 50%:50%; 40%:60%; 30%:70%, and control variations of galam bark:rubber seed shell, namely 100%:0% and 0%:100%. The particle size of galam bark charcoal and rubber seed shell was 60 mesh, pressure was 200 kg/cm2 and resin adhesive was 9%. The best composition variation is 40% Galam bark and 60% rubber seed shell with a calorific value of 8006 cal/gr, 3.1% moisture content, 2.98% ash content, 84.26% volatile content, and 10.24 compressive strength. kg/cm2.

Abstract

The number of uses of transportation equipment such as motorcycles continues to increase every day along with the number of populations that increases every year. Motorcycles are most often used by the community because motorcycles are quite affordable and more flexible for people with a high enough level of mobility. The increasing demand for motorcycles must be offset by the addition of services for these motorcycles such as workshops, where workshop activities produce waste in the form of hazardous and toxic materials (B3) waste such as used oil, used oil filters, used oil packaging bottles and also cloth contaminated by used oil. The purpose of the study is to identify the amount of B3 waste generation, management of packaging, storage/collection, and licensing and transportation of B3 waste. The calculation of B3 waste generation is carried out by taking sample data and questionnaires at each Type-B motorcycle workshop which amounts to 12 workshops and is carried out for 12 days. The average B3 waste generation per workshop at each Type-B motorcycle workshop in Banjarbaru City is for used oil accommodated as much as 8.24 liters/workshop/day, used oil filters as much as 0.40 pieces/workshops/day, waste washcloths/used fields as much as 2.53 sheets/workshops/day and used oil packaging as much as 15.33 bottles/workshops/day. B3 waste management at two-wheeled motorcycle workshops in Banjarbaru City has still not been by applicable regulations.
