Abstract

The problem that occurred in the ABC Flats Construction Project in Banjarbaru was that the project land was quite narrow. So if there is a large scale accumulation of material waste and lack of material management it can result in delays in the construction process, especially the mobilization and demobilization of tools. The aim of this research is to determine materials that cause large waste costs and the factors that cause them, as well as possible strategies to minimize waste. The analysis method is carried out using Pareto, waste cost and fishbone analysis. Collecting data by means of observation and interviews or brainstorming on several similar projects. The results of the Pareto analysis (80/20) show that there are two materials that contribute large costs, namely iron and concrete. The material that has the potential to generate large waste costs in the ABC Kalimantan Flats Construction Project as of the 21st week is ready mix concrete. The contribution of waste value per square meter is 0.073 m3 with a waste cost of 0.003% of the contract value. Based on the fishbone analysis, it was found thst the factors causing waste are a narrow location, stacking of moving materials, workers placing material carelessly, length of reinforcement that is not uniform, simplification of the shape of the pile cap structure, use of tools that do not match their function, number of orders that do not match, the rest of the concrete in the mixer, workers fatigue. Strategies to minimize waste of iron-concrete and ready-mix concrete materials are providing guidance to blacksmiths and workers, making access to tool distribution, using tools according to their functions, utilizing residual concrete, analyzing linear programs or barbending schedules. These results become considerations and suggestions in reducing the project budget due to the impact of material waste.

Abstract

Floods are one of Indonesia's most frequent natural disasters, especially in densely populated cities. Major floods in February 2023 hit Cempaka and Gunung Kupang Districts. To overcome this problem, the government built the Cempaka Embung and the Gunung Kupang Embung to control flooding and increase water infiltration into the ground. Land use changes upstream of the reservoir greatly affect the reservoir, especially land erosion and sedimentation that enter the reservoir body, which will reduce the performance of the reservoir in reducing flooding. Therefore, erosion and sedimentation analysis is needed to support better management in flood control in Cempaka District. The data used in this study are land use data, soil type data, topographic data, conservation data, and location photos are secondary data. In this study, the rate of erosion and sedimentation was calculated using the USLE method. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the erosion rate of the USLE method in the Cempaka Reservoir was 131.934 tons/ha/year, and the sediment rate was 38.0765 tons/ha/year. In the Gunung Kupang Reservoir, the USLE method erosion rate was 18,790 tons/ha/year, and the sediment rate was 6,057 tons/ha/year.Keywords: Watershed Erosion, Reservoir Sediment, USLE, Reservoir

Abstract

The Kampung Banjar Reservoir and Kebun Raya Reservoir were built to address the disrupted water catchment areas caused by land clearing for the development of the South Kalimantan Province Government office area in Banjarbaru. These two reservoirs are planned to function as water catchment areas, water tourism destinations, and raw water sources within the office areas. The water availability in the reservoirs is expected to remain stable. Therefore, a study on the water availability analysis of both reservoirs is necessary to ensure that the stored water can be utilized optimally and sustainably, particularly for tourism purposes. The research methodology includes data collection, data analysis, results, and discussion. The analysis phase involves evapotranspiration analysis, water availability analysis using the F. J. Mock method, and dependable flow analysis. Based on the flow simulation calculations using the F. J. Mock method, a 90% dependable flow was selected for raw water rEquationuirements. Abstract

To increase rice production in Tanah Laut Regency, one of the programs implemented by the Tanah Laut Regency Government is the development of swamp irrigation areas in Sabuhur Village. Sabuhur Village has a large swamp area, which has great potential to be developed as agricultural land. However, the success of this development is highly dependent on the suitability of the soil for use as agricultural land. Therefore, testing the physical and chemical characteristics of the soil is a crucial first step to identify the potential and constraints that may occur. The method used is field sampling and laboratory testing. Based on the test results, it can be seen that the characteristics of the physical and chemical properties of the soil at the research location. In terms of soil physical properties at the location, it can be known that soil permeability ranges from 1.86-3.64 cm/h (silty clay), bulk density ranges from 1.01-1.46 g/cm3 (most have exceeded critical values for agriculture), particle density ranges from 1.9-2.86 g/cm3 (mineral soil conditions), porosity ranges from 38.83%-63.31% (silty clay), and aggregate stability ranges from 14%-62.8%. As for the chemical properties of the soil, the total Fe content ranges between 112.19-507.47 ppm, pyrite content between 0.004-0.053% (small pyrite content), CEC ranges between 16.15-30.81 me/100gr (moderate to high soil clay content), and moisture content ranges between 4.88%-29.03. Therefore, the sampling location is not a swamp area because it is mostly mineral soil with a small moisture content. The observation location is a permanently submerged wetland environment.
