Abstract

The use of the internet is currently an important requirement at the STMIK Amik Riau institution, especially in the fields of administration, service and learning. The whole process of the current hotspot internet network service will be connected to students, lecturers, employees and guests. The user must register the network card device in the form of a MAC address to the admin. However, the current system has many weaknesses, including the use of the internet by lecturers and employees as well as the slow performance of information services, getting uneven internet access, while students do not have free hotspot access. This study aims to solve this problem by implementing user login management and bandwidth using the Queue Tree method with the Peer Connection Queue (PCQ) feature. The management process on the server can limit user traffic in uploading and downloading and bandwidth is divided equally in obtaining internet services. In this study, when a user accesses the internet, it is enough to use NIM, NIDN, NIK and guests are given access by default. This research aims to make it easier to access the internet using both laptops and other devices, to make it easier for users and admins to get and provide internet facilities.

Abstract

Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Riau (STIE RIAU) merupakan salah satu perguruan tinggi di Riau. Saat ini, STIE RIAU memiliki 2 Jurusan, Yakni S1 Manajemen dan D3 Keuangan.Mahasiswa jurusan mahajemen harus memilih salah satu dari dua konsentrasi pada akhir semester. Pemilihan Konsentrsi yang tepat akan menjadi farktor penting bagi wisudawan nantinya ketika sudah lulus kuliah. Dalam hal ini nilai mahasiswa yang telah mengambil konsentrasi menjadi data yang dapat di olah kembali menjadi sebuah informasi. Metode Learning Vector Quantization (LVQ) adalah sebuah metode yang dapat melakukan pembelajaran di lapisan kompetitif yang terawasi. Metode LVQ digunakan untuk pengelompokan yang mana jumlah kelompok telah ditentukan arsitekturnya.  Dengan pelatihan data nilai mahasiswa, mendapatkan nilai akurasi sebesar 84 % dengan tingkat error 0.14. Dari hasil pengujian data, LVQ dapat di terapkan untuk memprediksi bidang minat mahasiswa dalam mengambil konsentrasi

Abstract

Android is extensively used by some startups for food ordering applications, such as go food, grab food, Shopee food applications. However, the application cannot be used in a small scope such as the canteen on campus. At STMIK Amik Riau, the existing canteens still use manual methods in ordering and payment, therefore to facilitate canteen transactions, innovation was carried out, namely by using the e-canteen application. This application was created to make it easier to order menus, find out what menus are on that day and to prevent purchases without making payments. The e-canteen application had several features such as the name of the canteen, selection of available menus, menu prices, and payment processing. The making of e-canteen used a design Thinking approach. Design Thinking is a creative approach that collects ideas directly from application users. Design thinking has several stages, such as: empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test. The testing process showed how the target users interacted with the prototype that had been created. The results obtained from this study demonstrated that the e-canteen application significantly facilitated canteen services by simplifying the ordering and payment processes. Specifically, users were able to place orders more efficiently and complete payments seamlessly, which improved overall user satisfaction and operational efficiency within the campus canteen.

Abstract

The development of blockchain and cryptocurrency technology has increased the need for cryptocurrency wallet applications that are not only secure but also easy to use for a wide range of users. However, the complexity of features and technical terms in digital financial applications often causes difficulties for users, especially beginners, so usability-oriented UI/UX design is needed. This study aims to design and evaluate the UI/UX of an Android-based cryptocurrency wallet application using the Design Sprint approach and the Heuristic Evaluation and System Usability Scale (SUS) methods. The design process is carried out through the stages of understanding the problem, sketching a solution, determining the best design, building a prototype, and conducting testing. The resulting prototype is then evaluated using Heuristic Evaluation based on Nielsen's ten principles to identify usability issues. The evaluation results indicate several improvements that need to be made in the aspects of system status clarity, display consistency, and prevention of user errors. After refining the design, the prototype was tested with users using the SUS questionnaire. Based on the results of testing on 5 respondents, the average SUS score was 78.4, which is included in the acceptable category and is at the good usability level. These results indicate that the application has a good level of ease of use, clear navigation, and is able to provide a positive user experience. Thus, the application of Design Sprint in the design process, combined with Heuristic Evaluation and SUS, proved effective in producing intuitive, informative, and user-oriented UI/UX designs for cryptocurrency wallet applications. This research is expected to serve as a reference in the development of more user-friendly mobile-based digital financial applications.
