Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum learning program at Ma'had Utsman bin 'Affan BINBAZ 25 Jambi. The aspects evaluated include: planning, implementation, and learning evaluation. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this research were 4 teachers, Ma'had Utsman bin 'Affan BINBAZ 25 Jambi, and 4 students. The data were analyzed using critical analysis techniques, with the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of the research show that the evaluation process for the Merdeka Curriculum Learning Program at Ma'had Utsman bin 'Affan BINBAZ 25 Jambi has not been implemented optimally. This can be seen from educators who 100% have not made teaching modules in the learning process, 50% of teachers who do not provide teaching materials in the form of learning media, 75% of teachers who do not create small groups in learning, and 75% of teachers who use objective and subjective tests.

Abstract

Berembang Village, Muara Jambi District, exhibits vulnerability to disease spread due to substandard sanitation. The prevalent use of latrines, constructed and utilized extensively by the local community, particularly by residents near the Batanghari River, highlights this issue. Based on situational analysis, this community service aims to enhance awareness and availability of sanitation, specifically adequate latrines or toilets, and to develop a policy for Community-Based Total Sanitation (CBTS). To achieve these objectives, several strategies are employed: awareness campaigns about proper sanitation, provision of squat toilets to the less fortunate, and support in policy-making for sanitation program implementation. The outcomes of this community service include: (1) improved understanding of clean living practices through awareness campaigns, (2) distribution of seated toilets to the needy who lack such facilities, and; (3) drafting policies for the implementation of sanitation programs. Through this community service, it is hoped that the residents of Berembang Village will experience improvements in, and maintenance of, sanitation, and serve as a role model for other villages in addressing sanitation and public health challenges.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is expected not only to develop students’ religious knowledge but also to foster religious behavior and internalization of Islamic values. However, assessment practices in PAI learning remain predominantly focused on cognitive-based summative evaluation. This study aims to analyze the gap between students’ summative assessment scores and their religious behavior from the perspective of Marzano’s Taxonomy. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study involved fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-grade students at SDIT Izzatul Islam Muaro Jambi. Data were collected through documentation of summative scores, observation of religious behavior, and supporting interviews. The findings reveal that although most students achieved high academic performance in PAI, their consistency in religious behavior and intrinsic religious awareness was not yet optimal. From Marzano’s Taxonomy perspective, this condition indicates achievement in the knowledge acquisition dimension, but limited development in meaningful knowledge utilization and the self-system dimension. The study emphasizes the need to reorient PAI learning and assessment toward a more holistic and reflective approach to achieve authentic and sustainable religious character development. Abstract

There are many studies discussing the development of interactive electronic modules, but only a few integrate them using Augmented Reality and local culture. This study aims to develop a valid and practical interactive E-Module using Augmented Reality technology with the context of Jambi's local cultural wisdom as an alternative interesting teaching material to visualize a concept in increasing understanding related to the structure of an object that is relevant to everyday life. The research was developed with 4D stages (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Data collection was carried out using expert validation sheets, practicality questionnaire sheets and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the developed e-module is valid and practical. The results of media and material validation at the expert validation stage showed results of 96.86% and 93.75% that the e-module has been valid and very well developed. Practicality is seen at the small group stage (3 high-ability students, 3 medium-ability students and 3 low-ability students) which gave results of 85.415% so that the e-module is practical and categorized as very good. Furthermore, the field test (17 students) provided a descriptively positive response to the developed electronic module. This research also impacts the process of transforming culture into a learning medium, providing solutions for cultural preservation in the digital age, and fostering positive energy between education, culture, and the use of technology in learning.
