Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of using audio media in rhythmical movement learning for 6th-grade students at State Elementary School 1 Guntung Manggis. The study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with instruments consisting of knowledge questionnaires and rhythmic movement skill assessment sheets. The results indicate a variation in students' abilities across several key aspects. In the self-assessment aspect, 50% of students fall into the very high category, making it the highest percentage among all measured aspects. In the movement coordination aspect, only 30% of students are in the very high category, whereas 40% of students are in the low category, indicating ongoing challenges in developing motor skills. For the aspect of rhythm accuracy, 33% of students are in the high category and 27% in the very high category, while 23% of students are in the insufficient category and 17% in the very insufficient category. Meanwhile, in the aspect of understanding movement concepts, the majority of students showed good results, with 37% in the very high category and 33% in the high category. These findings indicate that the use of audio media is effective in improving students' understanding and creativity, particularly in the aspects of self-assessment and understanding movement concepts. However, the aspects of movement coordination and rhythm accuracy still require more varied learning strategies and continuous practice so that students' learning outcomes can be more optimal and equitable across all aspects.

The results showed that the majority of Physical Education teachers had knowledge in the low category (42%), while the frequency of environmental utilization was dominated by the moderate category (50%). The combined tabulation of knowledge and frequency also showed that (42%) of teachers were in the moderate category. The most common utilization strategy was the use of school fields (70%), followed by the surrounding natural environment (27%), while public sports facilities and city parks were rarely utilized. The main obstacles faced included limited space, weather, student safety, distance, cost, and accessibility of facilities. The conclusion of this study shows that the use of the surrounding environment as a source of learning physical education in junior high schools in Martapura City is still not optimal, so it is necessary to increase training, mentoring, and development of facilities so that physical education learning becomes more innovative, effective, and contextual.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the stages of planning learning for Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PE) in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Junior High Schools in the tabuk river district.  This study uses a mixed-methods approach with quantitative analysis of the quality of teaching modules and qualitative analysis through in-depth interviews with four Physical Education (PE) teachers. The results show that none of the teaching modules analyzed reached the categories of ‘Good’ or ‘Very Good’, where 50% fell into the ‘Sufficient’ category and the other 50% ‘Poor’, indicating that the alignment of the modules with the principles of the Independent Curriculum has not yet been optimal. Qualitatively, it was found that teachers have understood the stages of planning from the analysis of learning outcomes to the development of assessments, but the implementation of initial assessments and differentiated learning is still minimal. The main challenges include limited training, inadequate facilities, and varying student motivation. Nevertheless, teachers demonstrate adaptive efforts through collaboration, the use of makeshift tools, and the utilization of digital media. This finding emphasizes the need for capacity building for teachers and resource support to ensure the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum uniformly.
