Abstract

Along with the development of technology in the field of animal husbandry, it is necessary to have a simple tool that can help and relieve farmers in feeding livestock, especially for poultry. Therefore, a poultry feed molding machine is needed which is expected to help relieve farmers both in providing feed, saving time and costs for workers. The working principle of this poultry feed molding machine sequentially is that when the electric motor drive is turned on, a mixture of animal feed ingredients is inserted into the funnel, Engine power will be channeled to the axle screw conveyor through a V-belt transmission by tightening the pully tensioner which functions to stir animal feed ingredients. Animal feed ingredients that have been mixed evenly will be herded out to the end of the tube by the axle screw conveyor. The animal feed mixture will come out through the printer and will be cut by the blade, so that poultry feed is formed in the form of pellets. The test results of the poultry feed printing machine with a tool power speed of 653 rpm can produce 126 kg / hour of animal feed.

Abstract

Limbah sekam padi yang dihasilkan dari proses penggilingan gabah seringkali menimbulkan masalah lingkungan, karena biasanya hanya dimanfaatkan sebagai pakan ternak, disimpan, atau bahkan dibuang begitu saja. Namun, limbah sekam padi sebenarnya memiliki potensi untuk diubah menjadi bahan bakar yang bermanfaat dan memiliki nilai ekonomis. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan alternatif solusi terhadap permasalahan ini dengan mengkonversi limbah sekam padi menjadi bahan bakar yang dapat digunakan, terutama melalui briket arang sekam padi, dan penggunaan kompor briket. Kegiatan ini ditujukan kepada pemilik, pekerja, dan masyarakat sekitar PT Talasalapang Agro, khususnya di Desa Gangang Baku, Dusun Bilampang Tanah Karaeng, Manuju Kabupaten Gowa. Pendekatan kegiatan ini melibatkan interaksi dengan staf dan karyawan perusahaan serta memberikan pengetahuan tentang cara membuat kompor briket arang beserta briketnya dan manfaat yang dapat diperoleh dari pengelolaan limbah sekam padi ini. Hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah pemahaman yang lebih baik oleh staf dan karyawan tentang pentingnya penggunaan limbah sekam padi sebagai sumber energi alternatif, serta pemahaman tentang cara penggunaan kompor briket dan pembuatan briket arang dari sekam padi. Mitra dari kegiatan ini berharap agar program ini dapat berlanjut dan berkembang, bahkan menuju pengembangan kompor briket arang dalam skala yang lebih besar.

Abstract

This investigation created VLAB static electricity media using Adobe Animate to assess its practicability and gauge students' reactions to it. The study falls under the category of research and development (R&D), following the Borg & Gall development model, which is restricted to the main product revision stage. The evaluation tools are formulated based on student standards in simple language. The experiment was carried out on students in a classroom setting. Data gathering was done through interviews and surveys. The findings indicated that the Adobe Animate-based VLAB Static Electricity media was suitable for use as a learning tool based on the validation evaluation of material and media experts, with very feasible criteria. Limited development trials yielded positive student feedback with a good rating and creative thinking skills, resulting in a growing development category.

Abstract

Para petani bawang merah dikabupaten enrekang masih banyak yang melakukan proses pembajakan lahan dan pembuatan alur bedengan menggunakan sistem manual atau menggunakan tangan, padahal banyak dampak yang bisa merugikan dari diri sendiri ketika kita masih menggunakan sistem manual dimana bisa melukai tangan ketika melakukan pembajakan kemudian efesiensi waktu yang lama dan menguras banyak tenaga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan petani bawang merah dalam membajak lahan. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental dengan merancang bangun mesin prototipe hand traktor dengan berdimensi panjang 1,4 m, lebar 170 mm dan tinggi 457 mm. Menggunakan 3 poros, poros 1 dan 2 dengan panjang 300 mm dengan diameter 15 mm, sedangkan poros 3 (roda) panjang 300 mm dan diameter 31,50 mm daya motor 0,56 Hp, diameter poros 1 inc,. Dengan pegujian yang dilakukan dilihat bahwa mesin yang dirancang memliki efektifitas dari segi waktu dan kedalaman bedengan bisa diatur.

Abstract

This study conducted a needs analysis to explore the potential for developing a learning model adapted from the problem-oriented project-based learning (POPBL) approach for the Manufacturing Product Design course. The analysis incorporated observations of learning activities, student needs and interest assessments, and lecturer requirements. Findings indicated a student interest score of 82.71%, signifying high enthusiasm for a problem-solving-oriented model themed around Appropriate Technology-based Manufacturing Product Design. However, student comprehension of mechanical design concepts scored 65.42%, suggesting areas for improvement. Lecturers acknowledged the model's relevance but emphasized the need for guidance on implementing effective learning tools and methods. Consequently, a new model was proposed to enhance students' competencies in producing appropriate technology-based manufacturing products. This model prioritizes active student engagement and logical understanding through a structured process including need identification, technical specification preparation, concept design, decision-making, and documentation. Lecturers serve as facilitators, guiding students to identify problems and develop solutions while adhering to technical and safety standards. The proposed model's management considers five components: syntax, social systems, reaction principles, support systems, and instructional impacts, aiming to improve learning outcomes in mechanical design.
