Abstract

One of the cervical cancer screening can be done with visual inspection of acetic acid (IVA Test). InIndonesia, almost 70% of cervical cancers were found in advanced stages (> stage II B). This is due to thelow level of screening, which was <5% where ideally was 80%. This research is to find out the correlationbetween husband's knowledge and support to IVA test behavior in women of fertiled age couples. This typeof research was analytic descriptive with cross sectional design carried out in Namorambe Village,Namorambe sub district. The population used in the study were all women of fertiled age who live inNamorambe village. Samples were taken by simple random sampling of 58 respondents. Data collectionusing questionnaires and data analyzed univariate and bivariate using Fisher Exact statistical tests. Theresults of statistical analysis showed that knowledge’s level of the respondents was mostly in less category of24 people (41.4%), husband's support for IVA test behavior was at less category of 39 people (67.2%), themost respondents did not do IVA test of 45 people (77.6 %). In bivariate analysis, with p-value of 0.001<0.05, it was concluded that there was significant correlation between knowledge with IVA examinationbehavior, and with a p-value of 0.04 <0.05. It was concluded that there was correlation between husband'ssupport and IVA examination behavior. It was need to increase knowledge about cervical cancer and IVAtest through education by health workers through the promotion of reproductive health.

Abstract

Conflict in the family often occurs due to poor communication between parents and children. Parents who are equally busy, causing the intensity and quality of communication to be very less and not infrequently also cause disputes between them. Through communication, parents should be the primary source of information and educators about free sex behavior on their teenagers. This method aims to analyze the relationship of parent communication (openness, empathy, supportive attitude, positive attitude and equality) to free sex behavior in adolescents in SMA Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar. The type of this research is an analytic survey with cross sectional approach. The population in this study is the students of SMA Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar class XI which amounted to 160 people. A sample of 20 people, taken with cluster sampling technique. Data were obtained by using questioner, analyzed by chi square test at ? = 5%. Based on the initial survey conducted, it was found that around 60% not have free sex. This situation is related to good communication between parents and children, especially communication about sex and good sex education from parents to children who have already obtained children from parents. The conclusions that parents and children are expected to maintain joint communication with free sex behavior of SMA Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar, to students of SMA Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar always improve self-control and be able to withstand a momentary desire or drive that is contrary to inappropriate behavior with social norms and to SMA Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar public still pay attention to students and direct students not to have free sex. Abstract

Antenatal Care (ANC) tindakan yang dilakukan dalam memberikan pelayanan kepada ibu hamil dimasa kehamilan mereka. Faktor yang terjadi ketika ibu mengalami kematian dalam kehamilan adalah komplikasi kehamilan, pendarahan, infeksi dan lain-lain. Tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil serta menginformasikan bahwa pentingnya ANC menjalani kehamilan dengan sehat, dan melahirkan bayi yang sehat serta memantau secara awal kesehatan ibu dan janin, di Di Desa Sukarende Kecamatan Kutalimbaru Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Metode yang diawali mengukur pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang Antenatal Care kemudian dulanjutkan pemeriksaan Antenatal Care kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penyuluhan dengan metode diskusi, ceramah dan tanya jawab dengan responden diakhir dilakukan post-test. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan pada 15 ibu hamil. Hasil dilanjutkan dengan uji statistik independent t-test software SPSS untuk mengukur pengetahuan ibu hamil. Hasil pengukuran pretest dan posttest dilakukan adalah teradapat peningkatan pengetahuan, sebelum 33.3%, setelah penyuluhan (post-test) pengetahuan menjadi baik 80%. Kesimpulan terdapat pengaruh penyuluhan terhadap ibu hamil yang mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 80%.

Abstract

Preventing stunting from an early age is one of the Ministry of Health's strategies for tackling stunting in Indonesia. This community service aims to empower partners as agents of Change who collaborate with the community service team to empower mothers with teenage children through nutritional education to ensure preconception nutrition. This empowerment method in community service is the implementation of participatory action research. Empowerment targets are cognitively and economically empowered to fulfill preconception nutrition. Community service will occur in Pantai Labu Village, Pantai Labu District, Deliserdang Regency. A pre and post-assessment was carried out on the empowerment targets to evaluate the impact of this empowerment. Data collection methods were carried out using questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Data analysis using the Paired T-test if the data is usually distributed, and if the data is not normally distributed, the Wilcoxon test is used. The results showed an increase in knowledge and attitudes. Knowledge and attitudes of Preconception Nutrition Change Agent Training Participants (p-value < 0.05). Change Agents were committed to health promotion in Pantai Labu Village. Moreover, there was an increase in mothers' knowledge and attitudes about preconception nutrition (p-value < 0.05).

Abstract

Adolescents have a high sense of curiosity, including issues of sexuality. Adolescents' curiosity about sexuality is due to the developmental period of adolescents entering puberty, which is marked by the maturation of the reproductive system and the production of sex hormones. Risky sexual behaviour is sexual behaviour that can cause negative impacts such as unwanted pregnancy, abortion and sexually transmitted diseases. Adolescents need to be equipped with various knowledge about reproductive health, which includes understanding the physiology of reproductive organs, menstruation, fertility, sexual orientation, STI/HIV/AIDS prevention techniques, pregnancy, family planning techniques and skills. Objectives: To determine the effect of sex education through training and counselling as a preventive measure against risky sexual behaviour in adolescents: Participants of the Adolescent Reproductive Health Information and Counselling Center (PIK-KRR) in Medan City. Method: This research uses a quasiexperimental group pre-test and post-test design. The number of samples in this study was 30 adolescents. The statistical test analysis method used the paired sample t-test with the SPSS application. Results: This research shows an increase in adolescents' knowledge, attitudes and actions regarding risky sexual behaviour (p-value <0.05). Conclusion: Health services provide education about reproductive health knowledge and the impact of dangers of engaging in sexual behaviour to all adolescents so that they gain useful knowledge so as not to do other negative things.

Abstract

Pada masa remaja usia 10-19 tahun terjadi perubahan fisik, alat reproduksi, kognitif dan psikososial. Anemia pada remaja putri berdampak pada pertumbuhan dan perkembangan, daya tahan terhadap penyakit infeksi, aktivitas, konsentrasi dan kecerdasan serta daya tangkap. Sebagai calon ibu, kebutuhan zat besi remaja putri lebih banyak agar tidak terjadi defisiensi sebelum hamil. Bila kebutuhan tersebut tidak terpenuhi, maka akan berdampak pada kelahiran bayi antara lain lahir prematur, abnormal, berat badan lahir rendah, bahkan kematian ibu dan beberapa lembaga survei independen dalam maupun luar negeri menyebutkan bahwa Indonesia memiliki 3% penduduk LGBT, yang berarti 7,5 juta dari 250 juta penduduk indonesia adalah LGBT Dengan menetapkan langkah kerja dalam pengabdian masyarakat sebagai berikut: Menetapkan jumlah peserta pelatihan yaitu remaja, setiap peserta dikumpulkan disuatu ruangan, dan memberi materi pelatihan tentang pendidikan seks dan pendidikan gizi melalui pelatihan dan konseling sebagai upaya preventif penyimpangan LGBT dan pencegahan Anemia di SMA Gajah Mada Medan. Berdasarkan pengabdian masyarakat yang telah dilaksanakan terlihat bahwa siswa yang ada di SMA Gajah Mada Medan dapat mengetahui tentang Pendidikan seks dan Pendidikan gizi dalam mencegah penyimpangan LGBT dan Anemia. Remaja dapat secara mandiri menjadi agent of change serta menjadi peer educator bagi teman sebayanya, mahasiswa dapat dibantu dengan dilakukannya penyuluhan pada peserta didiknya. Pemberdayaan remaja dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja sehingga terjadi optimalisasi pencegahan LGBT dan Anemia pada remaja.
