Students with dysmenorrhea were divided into a control group (n=30) and an experimental group (n=30). Students in control group received deep breathing relaxation therapy and those in experimental group received muscle relaxation therapy. The intensity of pain, blood pressure, respiration and pulse were measured 15 minutes before being given treatment and would be measured again at 15 minutes after giving the treatment during menstrual pain. Instruments used Numerical Rating Scale. Result: Pain intensity before and after intervention in intervention and control group were 5,53 ± 1,167 vs 4,17 ± 1,053, P = 0,000 and 4,47 ± 1,358 vs 3,87 ± 1,96, P = 0,000 . Test paired t-test and Wilcoxon test to see changes in systolic, diastolic and respiratory pressure changes of pulse before and after relaxation. Comparison of the effects of muscle relaxation and deep breathing relaxation with P <0.05 (0.002) with Mann Whitney test.

Nausea followed by vomiting is a condition that is often found in pregnant women in the first trimester. This condition will appear 6 weeks after menstruation and normally disappear after entering the 10th week of pregnancy. The cases of nausea followed by vomiting in the first pregnancy are about 60%-80% and about 40%-60% in the second pregnancy. Cases of nausea and vomiting in Demak Regency in 2019 were 85% and in 2020 it had increased to 90%. This research determined the effectiveness of lemon and peppermint aromatherapy on the intensity of nausea and vomiting in pregnant women. This study is a quasi-experiment research with a two group pretest posttest design. The population consisted of 59 pregnant women, with a sample of 36 pregnant women who met the inclusion criteria using the purposive sampling technique. Group 1 treated with lemon aromatherapy consisted of 18 people and Group 2 treated with peppermint aromatherapy consisted of 18 people. Pregnancy-Unique Quantification of Emesis and Nausea scale (PUQE) was used to measure the Nausea scale. Statistical test using the Mann-Whitney test. The research found that lemon aromatherapy is more effective than peppermint aromatherapy in the intensity of nausea and vomiting in pregnant women with the significant result p-value 0.001. This research suggests that pregnant women should be able to deal with nausea and vomiting independently by giving lemon aromatherapy.

Abstract

Background : Pneumonia is inflammation or infection of the lung parenchyma, usually associated with filling the alveoli with fluid. Pneumonia is caused by viruses, bacteria (mycoplasma), fungi, parasites, or aspiration of foreign substances. Pneumonia is characterized by symptoms of coughing and/or difficulty breathing such as rapid breathing and inward pulling of the lower chest wall. Patients with pneumonia are in a state of dyspnea and cyanosis because of the presence of pneumonia and the amount of mucus in the bronchi/lungs. In order for the patient to be able to breathe smoothly, the mucus must be removed by sucking the mucus on the baby and to meet O2 needs, it needs to be assisted by giving O2 2L/minute on an ongoing basis. Purpose of the case study: To carry out the Application of Nebula Inhalation Therapy with Pumonia in Children at RSD K.R.M.T Wongsonegoro Semarang. Method : Case study report conducted in March 2023 for 3 days. The implementation provided is in accordance with IDHS, SIKI and SLKI. Results: Evaluation on client 1 based on the criteria that the researchers compiled from three nursing diagnoses that were upheld, there was 1 diagnosis that had not been resolved on day 3, namely the diagnosis of ineffective airway clearance. There were no data found for the other two diagnoses. Whereas on client 2 there were nine nursing diagnoses that were enforced, three nursing diagnoses could be resolved properly according to the nursing action plan, namely ineffective airway clearance, impaired gas exchange, and ineffective breathing pattern. Conclusion: The results of this study are expected to be input and as concrete evidence regarding the application of nursing care in families with cases of pneumonia in children in the family.
