Abstract

The need for clean water for human life is a primary need. Humans will not be able to live healthy without clean water, because the human body really needs water, the water content in the human body is not less than 70% of body weight (adults). Water serves to transport minerals, vitamins, proteins and other nutrients throughout the body. Body temperature balance will greatly depend on water, because water is a lubricant of the body's tissues as well as pads of joints, bones, and muscles. Once the importance of water for human survival so that the availability and sustainability of water for living things must be maintained. Islamic boarding schools are religious-based educational facilities whose management is still constrained by funding problems. So the facilities are always in a limited state. As is the case with the Quran Al-Fitrah tahfidz Islamic boarding school, which is located in Namo Rambe, which has difficulty in providing clean water to be drunk at the boarding school. This is what USU's dedication team tried to find a solution for, namely by making a filtering facility for clean water from springs to be made ready for drinking wells to be used by partner communities.

Abstract

In the life of modern society in Indonesia today, the supply of clean water to a community is usually supplied by local government-owned water companies. But due to network limitations or production capacity, often not all communities can enjoy the clean water facilities. Abstract

The less fossil fuel reserves in the world, especially Indonesia and environmental problems in the global sector caused by oil and gas exploration and mining, then alternative energy sources to replace fossil fuels or better known as renewable energy need to be developed. The Renun Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA) in North Sumatra has a water reservoir or so-called Regulating Pond with an area of ​​11.42 ha, the size of the Regulating Pond which is quite large is very appropriate if it is used for a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) because there is no land acquisition , and the Regulating Pond is more stable, there are no rising and falling contours. The solar panels used in floating solar panels on the regulating pound are 20,441 Polycristaline solar panels, 300 Wp power type Blue Sun Solar Energi BSM270-300P-60 (300W), the power generated is 6,123,300 Wp (6,123.3 kWp) or 6, 12 MWp. The batteries in PLTS consist of 275 series and 3.5 parallel and the total battery required is 1,100 JYC Batteries, OPzV3000 type batteries, and 9 inverters of the ABB brand PVI 500 TL CN with a power of 560 kW and a voltage of 360 V. The potential obtained from the PLTS planning in Regulating Pound for North Renun Hydroelectric Power Plant using Helioscope software simulation is 489,659 kWh/month.

Abstract

Kampus UNPAB setiap tahun mengalami kenaikan konsumsi energi listrik setiap tahunnya, sehingga perlu dilakukan audit energi yang dilakukan beberapa tahapan pada pelaksanan audit energi ini. Tahapan tersebut dimulai nilai konsumsi energi listrik, Intensitas Konsumsi Energi Listrik (IKE), mencari analisa PHE dan Sistem Jaringan Distribusi Listrik pada Gedung A, B, M. Intensitas konsumsi energi Cahaya listrik pada Gedung A dengan nilai 525,82 , Gedung B dengan nilai 653,54 dan Gedung M dengan nilai 583,44. Sedangkan untuk Intensitas Konsumsi Energi AC pada Gedung A dengan nilai efesien 59% dan sangat Efesien 41%, Gedung B dengan nilai efesien 50% dan sangat Efesien 26% dan boros 24%. Gedung M dengan nilai efesien 83% dan sangat Efesien 17%. Analisa Peluang Penghematan Energi untuk pencahayaan dengan Total Rp. 823.697, - pada Gedung A, B, dan M mendapat efesiensi sebesar 22% dari yang sebelumnya Rp. 2.936.825,-. Untuk Analisa Peluang Penghematan Energi AC dengan total Rp. 8.720.947, - pada Gedung A, B, dan M mendapat efesiensi sebesar 34% dari yang sebelumnya Rp. 25.886.610,-.

Abstract

Energi listrik memegang peranan penting dalam menunjang kegiatan pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi, salah satunya di Politeknik Tanjungbalai. Permasalahan yang sering dijumpai adalah tingginya penggunaan daya listrik akibat kelalaian pengguna/pelaku dalam mengoperasikan peralatan elektronik, seperti lupa mematikan instrumen saat selesai menggunakannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi efisiensi energi yang tepat yang dapat diterapkan di Politeknik Tanjungbalai. Sedangkan metode yang digunakan adalah gabungan antara metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Metode analisis penelitian ini menggunakan Contextual Interaction Theory (ICT) pada aktor dan kelompok sasaran yang terdiri dari motivasi, kognisi, dan kekuatan. Hasil analisis teoritis yang dilakukan terhadap sampel/pelaku di Politeknik Tanjungbalai dengan parameter perhitungan audit dan konsumsi energi menunjukkan bahwa interaksi kontekstual di Politeknik Tanjung balai mengalami gangguan dalam situasi interaksi, yang menggambarkan bahwa pelaksana memiliki motivasi negatif untuk melaksanakan program efisiensi energi yang ditunjukkan dengan sikap acuh tak acuh.

Abstract

Based on data from the Pangkalan Susu steam power plant, the total amount of electrical energy used for generating process is on average 10% by the total of electrical energy generated by the plant. Increasing of electrical energy used will reduce the electrical energy sales to the network system. This research was carried out with reference according to ISO 50006:2014. This research is studies to the sample equipment with the largest rating capacity (significant energy user), such as boiler and turbine operation support equipment with on voltage 6 kV. The data of electrical energy in equipment is taken from the last 3 years historical data, namely in 2020, 2021 and 2022, Furthermore, the lowest point of electrical energy usage data was selected, then analyzed with the Linear Regression method to obtain the baseline Energy equation. The equation is used to conduct an analysis by comparing against the new data of the electrical energy in equipment, namely on April 1, 2023, the analysis showed that there was a waste of electrical energy of 164.12 kW equivalent to a fuel purchase loss of IDR 2,343,960 in 1 day. Furthermore, the baseline equation is used to input formulas in the AVEVA application (PI VISION). The Changes of electrical energy used will be monitored directly, so that if there is a waste of electrical energy, the operating pattern can be regulated directly to avoid energy waste in the electrical equipment and earn the fuel cost reduction of the Steam Power Plant.

Abstract

Banyak warga yang mengalami kerugian besar akibat kelalaian saat terjadi kebakaran rumah. Oleh karena itu, perlu dikembangkan sistem pendeteksi kebakaran yang dapat dikendalikan dari jarak jauh melalui Internet dengan menggunakan aplikasi Blynk Iot 2.0 yang terpasang di smartphone. Komponen fire detector menggunakan fire detector LM393 untuk mendeteksi api dan komponen smoke detector menggunakan smoke detector MQ7 yang terhubung dengan mikrokontroler Esp8266 dan buzzer. Alat yang dibuat penulis saat ini masih bersifat Prototype, artinya masih berupa purwarupa sebuah ruangan 40 cm x 30 cm yang dilengkapi sensor api, sensor asap serta sensor suhu dan kelembaban. Pengiriman data informasi pada perangkat menggunakan jaringan WIFI , jika perangkat tidak terhubung jaringan WIFI maka data peringatan tidak akan terkirim.
