Abstract

Research on funeral funds on a homeowner association has never been performed before. Meanwhile, previous studies on the funeral fund in insurance companies, 'rukun kematian,' and mosques are used as a reference. The research aims to analyze whether the funeral funds managed by informal institutions correspond with the micro takaful principle. Method is a descriptive analysis is used by comparing the survey in two groups, namely residential and village areas, of 31 communities spread across Java Island. The research variables developed include calculation, collection method, and amount of funeral fund contribution, alongside the calculation and amount of benefits. Although the funeral funds' variables have not fulfilled the micro takaful principle, there are interesting findings. These include that the calculation of contribution for the two groups, namely the residential and village areas, is performed by mutual agreement through community deliberations. In the village, the collection method is by direct payment from members of the public to the officers, which is different from the residential areas, where it is picked up by the officers. Furthermore, the amount of funding contributions to the community in the villages is around Rp. 3.001 and Rp. 5,000, while the total is over Rp. 10,000 in residential areas. The informal funeral funding scheme (IFFS) has become a mutually beneficial culture of Indonesian society, which fosters strong humanity and brotherhood. This scheme can be formulated in micro-takaful cooperatives to ensure that the benefits trickle down for every member of the community, including Muslims and non-Muslims.

Abstract

Digital marketing plays an important role in strengthening brand awareness and expanding the marketing reach of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Realizing this important role, the STIE Indonesia Banking School community service team carried out community service activities to support Ratoeh Indah, an MSME, in utilizing digital marketing tools and strategies. The results of initial observations and interviews show that Ratoeh Indah has not utilized the potential of social media for product promotion, nor has she used online shopping platforms or digital advertising to achieve competitive advantage and innovation. Historically, Ratoeh Indah relied on conventional door-to-door sales methods, limiting its reach and growth potential. To address this gap, our intervention includes a comprehensive approach that utilizes SWOT analysis, interviews, observation, and direct mentoring. The main activities include creating and optimizing an Instagram account for product promotion, creating targeted advertisements on Instagram, establishing an online shop on the e-commerce platform Shopee, and implementing more environmentally friendly packaging solutions. The results of the service activities carried out are very significant. There has been a marked increase in brand awareness, evidenced by the growth of Instagram followers and engagement metrics. Additionally, newly established Shopee stores experienced increased visitor traffic, indicating successful penetration into the online shopping realm. The community service undertaken underscores the transformative impact of digital marketing on MSMEs, providing a model for similar companies seeking to strengthen brand awareness and expand marketing reach.

Abstract

This article summarizes the multitude of empirical studies in the area of Islamic banking and finance with purpose to analyze impact of Islamic banking and finance studies to practice by mapping research direction and the depth of the study. The studies are categorized based on research paradigm, countries being researched, methods employed, and results that lead to policy direction in the particular period. The research found that the research direction of the papers under study mostly employ positivist paradigm with countries being researched are generally Malaysia, Pakistan, Indonesia and UAE. It documents that the papers did not link directly to the future policy directions ie. to predict and prepare for financial crisis, rather they merely responded to the undergoing policies or themes of the journals. This review provides insights for understanding the importance of guiding future policy direction in the area of Islamic banking and finance by publishing more research policy papers authored by both academics and professionals.

Abstract

This research is motivated by how a teacher chooses and uses methods in the teaching process that are appropriate to the Islamic Religious Education subject matter, as well as the goals that must be achieved. Teachers in the teaching and learning process must experience development to improve the quality of education because teachers are one component of the educational process. This research method uses library research, namely a method of collecting data by understanding and studying theories from various literature related to the research. The drill and practice method is a technique that can be interpreted as a teaching method where students carry out practice activities so that students have higher dexterity and skills than what they have learned. So drill and practice is a teaching method that emphasizes lots of practice. The more practice, the more skilled students will be, so they will be effective in achieving the learning objectives of Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the integration of interactive teaching through learning innovations at SMKN 1 Cikarang Barat as an effort to enhance students' learning interest. The background of the research indicates that conventional teaching methods, which are still dominant, such as lectures, are ineffective in increasing student engagement. Therefore, interactive teaching that utilizes technology, such as Google Slides and Google Forms, is expected to create a more engaging and enjoyable learning environment. This study also identifies the challenges faced, including resource limitations, differences in perceptions between teachers and students regarding character education, and the need for support from parents and the community. Using a qualitative approach, this research collects data through interviews and observations to understand the views of teachers and students regarding character education and interactive teaching. The results of this study are expected to provide broader insights into the effective implementation of learning innovations that support the character development of students at SMKN 1 Cikarang Barat.

Abstract

Pembelajaran bahasa arab merupakan suatu pembelajaran yang harus diajarakan atau ditanamkan dalam diri peserta didik. bahkan pembelajaran harus sudah ditanamkan dari sejak kecil oleh orang tua maupun guru. Akan tetapi bayak dari peserta didik ketika mengaplikasikan teori yang sudah di dapat seketika menjadi kaku. Oleh sebab itu munculah konsep belajar dengan pendekatan Contectual teaching and learning (CTL), pendekatan tersebut lebih memfokuskan teori dengan konteks keadaan yang ada, sehingga dalam proses pembelajarannya selain peserta didik mengetahui teori juga mampu mengimplementasikannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) yaitu untuk menumbuhkan gairah semangat siswa dalam belajar sehingga tercipta suasana pembeljajaran yang lebih mendukung. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskrptif kualitatif, yang hanya fokus penjabarannya berupa kata-kata dan fakta yang terjadi sesuai pengalaman yang dialami oleh penelit. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu diharapkan metode CTL ini dapat menuntut kreatifitas guru alam mengaitkan matter dengan kehidupan nyata siswa untuk membantu siswa agar lebih mudah memaknai materi tersebut Oleh karena itu metode CTL ini , dapat digunakan dikalangan siswa untuk menumbuh kembangkan pembelajaran supaya lebih maksimal

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) strategy in enhancing the Arabic reading skills of Baitul Qur’an students. The problem addressed in this research is the persistent difficulty students face in memorizing and understanding Arabic vocabulary, which stems from limited practice and insufficient active engagement during learning activities. The main objective of the study is to evaluate how PBL, supported by structured dictionary use, can improve students’ reading comprehension. Employing a qualitative experimental approach, the study implemented a learning model that required students to consistently bring and utilize dictionaries in every Arabic lesson. This practice encouraged students to independently search for meanings and engage with vocabulary more frequently. After identifying the required vocabulary, students applied their understanding through thematic reading tasks, enabling teachers to assess comprehension based on the problems presented. The findings show that eighth-grade students felt more motivated and challenged when engaging in vocabulary-rich reading activities. Overall, the PBL strategy effectively improved students’ reading skills and fostered greater learner autonomy. This study contributes to Arabic language pedagogy by demonstrating that integrating PBL with active vocabulary exploration can serve as a practical method for enhancing reading proficiency in similar educational contexts.

Abstract

This research was conducted descriptively to identify gaps, synthesize relevant concepts, and formulate the most appropriate theoretical model. The study produced a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) framework for creating Arabic culture–based storytelling that is ready to be implemented in the classroom. This model is designed to encourage students to collaborate actively and use Arabic in authentic contexts—namely by creating and presenting stories—so it is expected to enhance their speaking skills (mahārat al-kalām). In addition, the model is anticipated to increase students’ learning motivation and their understanding of Arab culture. Conceptually, this model is feasible to apply and has the potential to become an effective new approach to making Arabic language instruction more engaging and practical.The implications of this study indicate that the developed framework can serve as a guideline for teachers in designing more contextual and creative project-based Arabic language learning. Implementing this model has the potential to promote cultural integration in language teaching, improve the quality of communicative interaction in the classroom, and strengthen performance-based learning. Furthermore, this research opens opportunities for the development of media, assessments, and curricula that support Arabic cultural storytelling across different educational levels.
