Abstract

Vaccines are biological products that stimulate the body's immunity and are very susceptible to damage, so they require special handling to maintain their quality. One of them is that proper storage of vaccines is very important because this can have an impact on its potency. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of vaccine storage at the Kediri 1 Tabanan Community Health Center using three main indicators: facilities and infrastructure, condition of the refrigerator, and vaccine storage system. Descriptive observational research with a semi-quantitative study design is the methodology employed. The analysis's findings indicate that the facilities and infrastructure indicators scored 81.81%, placing them in the good category. With a percentage of 87.5%, the refrigerator condition indicator is also in the good range. Aside from that, the indicators of the vaccine storage system performed well, with an 85.71% percentage. In summary, the Kediri 1 Tabanan Community Health Center's overall vaccination storage falls within the "good" category. Despite the fact that there is still room for advancement to achieve complete vaccine storage optimization

Abstract

Red Rice Bran (Oryza nivara) is one of the natural ingredients that contains flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, and terpenoids that are able to provide antibacterial activity. The purpose of this study is to determine the antibacterial activity of solid soap preparations of 96% ethanol extract of brown rice bran by cold process method against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The extraction process is carried out by the maceration extraction method, namely by using 96% ethanol solvent. The antibacterial activity test of the extract was carried out using Staphylococcus aureus test bacteria with variations in the concentration of ethanol extract of brown rice bran which were 1.5%, 2.5%, and 3.5%. The antibacterial activity test of solid soap of brown rice bran extract was carried out using Staphylococcus aureus test bacteria with F0, F1, F2 and F3 formulations. The method used for the antibacterial activity test was diffusion with Kirby-baurer disc paper discs using Mueller Hilton agar media. The results of the antibacterial activity test of solid soap preparations of 96% ethanol extract of brown rice bran by cold process method have antibacterial activity with moderate inhibitory power against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The inhibition comes from the soap base, the addition of extracts to the 2%, 2.5%, 3% concentration variations does not provide an increase in inhibition against the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria.

Abstract

Papaya leaves contain phytochemicals including alkaloids, phenols, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and steroids, which can function as natural moisturizers to maintain healthy heels. Papaya leaves were extracted using the maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent and evaporated on a rotary evaporator to obtain a thick extract. The yield was 10.2%. It was subsequently combined at concentrations of 5 %, 10 %, and 15% to create a moisturizing heel stick preparation. The physical quality of the stick heel moisturizer preparations was assessed using tests for homogeneity, spreadability, adhesion, pH, organoleptic properties, and moisturizing properties. The mixture produces a brownish-green stick, a semi-solid texture, a distinctive odor of papaya leaves, a pH of 6, good homogeneity, good adherence, and qualified spreadability. The moisturizing test results for FI 5%, FII 10%, and FIII 15% had average values of 2.23%, 1.56%, and 1.15%, respectively. The results of SPSS testing also showed various average values that were significant (p<0.05). From the obtained data, FIII was determined to be the most effective moisturizing formula. Keywords: Papaya leaf, stick heel, moisturizer.
