Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi pengelolaan kesan oleh creators TikTok Bengkulu dalam membangun personal branding. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka dan dokumentasi. Penentuan informan pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori pengelolaan kesan (impression management theory) dengan berakar dari dua cakupan yang terdiri dari presentasi diri dan pengelolaan identitas sosial. Personal branding adalah bagaimana kita memasarkan diri pada orang lain secara terstruktur (Ganiem, 2011). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para creators TikTok Bengkulu melakukan pengelolaan kesan melalui diferensiasi yang dimiliki guna membangun personal branding dengan mengunggah konten video dan mengharapkan umpan balik dari pengikut. Kemudian, kategori kelompok rata-rata usia remaja menjadi sasaran dan mendapatkan keuntungan dari personal branding yang dibangun. Abstract

Perkembangannya aplikasi Tik Tok berkembang menjadi wadah kreativitas mulai adanya fitur terbaru yaitu live streaming. Saat ini banyak konten creator tiktok yang menggunakan fitur live streamingnya untuk menarik minat beli konsumen. Salah satu conten creator tiktok yang menggunakan trash talk pada saat live streaming jualan di tiktok adalah Meyden. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh trash talk pada live streaming tiktokers meyden terhadap minat beli konsumen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik  pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Adapun kriteria yang peneliti tetapkan adalah followers Tiktokers Meyden dan melihat Live Streaming Tiktokers Meyden minimal 3 kali menonton. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 100 orang Followers Tiktokers Meyden Pada tahun 2023. Waktu penelitian tanggal 15 Mei - 12 Juni 2023. Hasil penelitian terdapat pengaruh Trash Talk pada Live Streaming Tiktokers Meyden terhadap minat beli konsumen. Hasil dari pengujian hipotesis bahwa nilai t hitung lebih besar jika dibandingkan dengan t tabel yaitu dengan perbandingan 12,222 > 1,659. Dengan nilai tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Trash Talk Pada Live Streaming Tiktokers Meyden berdampak pada Minat Beli Konsumen, dimana dalam kegiatan ini Meyden menjadikan Tiktoknya sebagai sarana dalam melakukan komunikasi pemasaran berupa live streamingnya yang menggunakan trash talk hal ini dilakukan agar mampu menumbuhkan kepercayaan kepada followernya atau konsumennya.

Abstract

On 25 October 2023, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka officially registered with the General Election Commission as Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates. Therefore, the researcher wants to know how the framing of the news media related to this. The media selected for this analysis are Kompas.com and CNNIndonesia. This study uses the framing method by Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki and uses the constructivism paradigm. The news data taken for this study were collected in the period 16-25 October 2023. Based on the results of the study, there was one news on Kompas.com that didn’t meet the 5W+1H elements and the comparison in the two news portals led to differences where Kompas.com media focused on the opinions of sources related to the advantages and chances of Gibran’s victory, and CNNIndonesia showed how the results of the electability data of the pair Prabowo and Gibran to win the 2024 Presidential Election.

Abstract

Java Island holds a significantly dominant percentage within Indonesia. The presence of media on Java Island plays a crucial role in shaping public perception and views regarding an event, including the 2024 Presidential election, making Java Island the epicenter of media coverage in Indonesia. This phenomenon is known as Javanese-centrism, indicating the emphasis on Java's position, considered the center and reference point of Indonesia. This research applies a qualitative approach utilizing framing analysis proposed by Robert N Entman. The model encompasses steps such as defining the problem, identifying the causes of the problem, evaluating moral decisions, and detailing problem resolution. The aim is to analyze detik.com's framing related to Javanese-centrism in the coverage of the 2024 Presidential candidates. The research sample includes 5 news articles from detik.com published between October 25th and 30th, 2023. The research findings indicate that the coverage on detik.com accentuates Java Island more, potentially raising issues of regional disparity due to the Presidential candidates' campaigns focusing solely on Java Island from October 25th to 30th. Detik.com aims for Presidential campaigns to extend to all parts of Indonesia, not solely centered on Java Island, in order to mitigate issues of centralization.

Abstract

Bengkulu Province has many potential tourism objects, but Bengkulu Province is also a disaster-prone area, so that tourist objects will automatically become disaster-prone tourist objects. Several forms of natural events that can be a threat to disasters for tourist attraction areas are earthquakes, tsunamis, landslides, flash floods, hurricanes and tidal waves (Munandar, 2015). To reduce casualties, visitors should know the threat of disasters that could potentially occur in a tourist spot. The research question is: "How are the knowledge and attitudes of tourists towards potential disasters in the tourist destination of Rindu Hati Village, Central Bengkulu Regency?" This study was designed as a qualitative research with an exploratory design. The main informants were 200 respondents who were randomly selected from the visitors to the tourist attractions. Supporting informants are village officials and managers of the tourism object concerned. The results show that the majority of visitors already know the potential for disasters at these tourist attractions, because apart from having visited this tourist attraction before, they also understand the character of areas prone to earthquakes, river areas prone to flash floods and landslides, and heavy currents. which can bring drift. Based on the results of this study, it can be conceptually concluded that although there is a potential disaster, because the threat from the potential disaster according to visitors can already be identified and mitigated, it does not affect their enthusiasm to continue traveling in that place.

Abstract

Political Amateur or amateur politics is often associated with individuals who enter the world of politics without having adequate experience or knowledge. This research aims to explore the perception of Generation-Z towards the political amateur phenomenon that emerged in the Regional Head Election (Pilkada) of Bengkulu City 2024, focussing on one of the candidates for deputy mayor, Nuragiyanti Dewi Permatasari, M.Arch. Generation Z, which is now a potential group of voters, has different political views and values from the previous generation. Through a descriptive qualitative approach with the constructivism paradigm, this study uses an in-depth interview method to identify attitudes, judgements and reasons that underlie the perception of generation-Z towards Nuragiyanti Dewi Permatasari as a political amateur, as well as how the candidate's educational background and political experience affect the acceptance of the younger generation. Overall, despite the challenges related to the lack of political experience, the opportunity for Nuragiyanti to gain support from generation Z is very wide open if he is able to utilise technology, transparency, and active involvement with social and environmental issues. The use of social media by Nuragiyanti to convey its vision, mission, and campaign programs transparently and directly to young voters is considered crucial to build a positive image and show commitment to openness. The results of this study provide insight into how generation Z views new leader candidates in the political world and what are the factors that affect their decision to vote in the 2024 Regional Election.

Abstract

  Political dynasties are a phenomenon that often appears in political contexts. Political dynasties are power obtained in a primitive way, namely relying on the blood of a few people. The political dynastic system is basically a political strategy designed or built to gain power. This research looks at the issue of political dynasties that are considered to threaten democratic life in Indonesia. The media plays a role in shaping public opinion, news about political dynastic issues can be influenced by news partisanship and framing. Like Tempo mass media, the media highlights Jokowi's political dynasty through framing news that affects readers' perceptions. Using qualitative research methods and framing analysis from Robert N. Entman, this study reveals that Tempo magazine reports on how Jokowi's political dynasty is. The results of research in the October 2023 to May 2024 edition of Tempo magazine on the issue of political dynasties in online media in the current political period present a narrative that emphasizes the possibility of consolidation of power that has the potential to threaten democratic principles, strengthen oligarchy, and trigger public dissatisfaction with political continuity.

Abstract

Personal Branding merupakan suatu proses yang dilakukan untuk menunjukkan serta mempertahankan kesan positif tentang diri sendiri berdasarkan ciri khas tertentu kepada orang lain. Personal branding yang dibangun oleh Influencer Instagram Bengkulu diwujudkan dengan melakukan pengelolaan kesan melalui akun Instagram milik masing-masing Influencer Bengkulu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengelolaan kesan dalam membangun personal branding oleh influencer melalui fitur reels di Instagram. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, serta mencari referensi melalui buku, jurnal, skripsi dan artikel yang berhubungan dengan penelitian. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan teknik analisis data melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi serta penarikan kesimpulan. Informan penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori pengelolaan kesan (impression management theory) dengan berakar dari dua cakupan yang terdiri dari presentasi diri dan pengelolaan identitas sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para Influencer Bengkulu melakukan diferensiasi guna membangun personal branding dengan mengunggah konten video dengan harapan umpan balik dari pengikut. Kemudian, kategori kelompok rata-rata usia remaja dan dewasa menjadi sasaran dalam mendapatkan keuntungan dari personal branding yang dibangun.

Abstract

International conflict is a social phenomenon in international law, involving subjects that seek to harm other states. Causes are varied, including disputes over material factors such as territorial sea conflicts and economic competition. Conflicts often stem from differences in ethnic interests, such as those between Palestine and Israel. The media plays a role in shaping public opinion, news coverage of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict can be influenced by partisanship, news framing, and geopolitical influences. The mass media, such as kompas.com and CNBC Indonesia, portray the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through news framing that influences readers' perceptions. Kompas.com tends to emphasize Israel's declaration of war on Hamas and the casualties of the attacks, giving emphasis to Israel's actions in response to the attacks and creating sympathy for Israel. They also highlighted Hamas' exploitation of the geopolitical gap in the Middle East. On the other hand, CNBC Indonesia was more neutral in reporting on the conflict, not emphasizing one side over the other. They include Russia's view of the conflict, providing additional viewpoints and showing that there are other countries influencing or providing perspectives on the conflict. Abstract

Blasphemy is a significant and sensitive topic in the news, prompting mass media to allocate coverage to religious issues. This study utilizes qualitative methods, employing the framing model analysis of William A. Gamson and Andre Modigliani. The objective is to examine news concerning alleged blasphemy cases involving Panji Gumilang, the head of Al-Zaytun ponpes, as reported by Republika and Detik during the period from July to August 2023. Researchers scrutinized six news articles, three from Republika and three from Detik. The findings reveal that both Republika and Detik distinctly highlight ongoing investigations by law authorities into the blasphemy case attributed to Panji Gumilang. Republika's coverage primarily focuses on evidence exploration to gather information, reinforcing the report on the alleged blasphemy case for a smoother legal process and justice. In contrast, Detik examines the societal influence and impact of the blasphemy case. Meanwhile, Detik discussed the influence and impact of this blasphemy case on society. The reason for choosing the two media is because both have different backgrounds, Republika is a media born from the Muslim community that is more in-depth in news related to Islamic religious issues while Detik is a popular media whose reporting is neutral.
