Abstract

ABSTRAKKandungan dalam alga meliputi polisakarida, mineral, protein, lemak, vitamin, polifenol dan senyawa bioaktif yang bisa memberikan manfaat terhadap sumber makanan, vitamin maupun pharmasi. Investigasi karakter Alga Coklat dan Alga Merah yang diperoleh dari perairan pulau pari kepulauan seribu wilayah Indonesia dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan zat yang mampu menjadi alternatif sumber anti oksidan . Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah ekstraksi maserasi dengan pelarut Phosfat Buffer Saline (PBS) sedangkan Uji kadar protein alga menggunakan metode Lowry dan uji aktivitas antioksidan menggunakan metode 1,1-Diphenyl-2-Pycrylhydrazy(DPPH). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kadar protein yang tertinggi diperoleh pada sampel alga merah, sedangkan nilai kadar protein paling rendah terdapat pada alga cokelat . Nilai aktivitas antioksidan yang paling baik yaitu pada sampel yang berasal dari alga merah dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 3,5421 mg/ml.Kata Kunci: Alga, protein, antioksidan.ABSTRACTAn alga contains polysaccharides, minerals, proteins, fats, vitamins, polyphenols and bioactive compounds that can provide benefits for food, vitamin and pharmaceutical sources. Characteristic investigations of Brown Algae and Red Algae from the Pari Island waters, Thousand Islands, Indonesia, were carried out to obtain substances that could be an alternative source of antioxidants. The maceration extraction method using Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS) as solvent was used in this study. Protein content in algae was investigated by Lowry method and the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method was used to investigate the antioxidant activity of algae The results showed that the highest protein content was found in Red Algae and the lowest is in Brown Algae. The best value of antioxidant activity was found in Red Algae with the IC50 value of 3.5421 mg/ml.Keywords: Algae, protein, antioxidants.

Abstract

Vegetable fat can be used as a base for making chocolate butter substitutes in making chocolate coatings. The product is also called hard butter can be obtained using coconut oil. The fats used as a substitute for cocoa butter are coconut oil, palm oil and palm kernel oil that have been obtained by hydrogenation, the hydrogenation process is used to reduce iodine numbers to obtain oil in the form of plastic solids and to increase the consistency of oils and fats to reduce color and smell and to improve stability. In this study the hydrogenation reaction of coconut oil experienced an increase in speed when the commercial catalyst composition of Pricat 9910 was added with a 0.75 gram nickel catalyst and 0.75 grams of silica which was characterized by a drastic decrease in iodine number from 12.12 to 1.94 gr I2 / 100 gr example in the reaction time of 8 hours, It contained in hydrogenated coconut oil did not change or damage when the catalyst composition used in the hydrogenation process is increased.

Abstract

Indonesia has millions island and big part of Indonesia is sea that is rich in marine biological resources and has the potential to be developed and optimized. One of the abundant marine resources in Indonesia is algae. Algae are plant-like protists. Algae have several important compounds, including protein, carbohydrates, fats, minerals and other useful elements. Proteins contained in algae have the potential to be used as antioxidants. In this study, the levels of protein in red and green algae were tested by using the lowry method and testing the antioxidant activity of red and green algae extracts using the Diphenylpicrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method. Algae extraction was done by maceration, which is soaking the sample in low temperature with phosphate buffer saline (PBS) pH 7. From the extraction results it can be concluded that the red algae (Rhodophyta) has the highest protein content of 5.115 ± 0.126% and the lowest protein content in green algae (Chloropytha) as big as 1.686 ± 0.430%. And from the results of the antioxidant activity test showed that all positive algae showed antioxidant activity but the green algae (Chlorophyta) had the highest antioxidant activity of 71.5946 ± 0.01612% with IC50 value 1.6114.

Abstract

Rol keramik adalah produk keramik teknologi tinggi yang dibuat dengan proses tekanan isostatik, berfungsi sebagai media transportasi benda benda keramik pada proses pembakaran di area tanur (kiln). Limbah rol keramik dapat menimbulkan masalah bagi lingkungan jika tidak ditangani dengan baik. Salah satu upaya mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan adalah dengan mendaur ulang limbah buangan rol keramik untuk dijadikan bahan pembuatan produk refraktori. Melalui penelitian ini, limbah buangan rol keramik dijadikan sebagai pengganti bahan baku impor dalam pembuatan castable dengan hasil workability test dan physical test yang baik sehingga berpotensi untuk digunakan sebagai bahan baku pengganti.

Abstract

Sampah plastik adalah limbah yang sulit diurai oleh tanah dan dapat mencemari lingkungan. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, plastik biodegradable atau bioplastik dari pati kulit singkong dapat dibuat untuk menghasilkan plastik biodegradable. Untuk mendapatkan bioplastik, pati ditambahkan dengan PP-g-MA sebagai Agen Grafting sehingga plastik lebih kuat dan elastis. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan berbagai bahan yang ditambahkan dengan rasio massa Polypropylene, PP-g-MA, dan pati kulit singkong yaitu (34,75: 0,25: 15), (34,5: 0,5: 15), (34,25: 0, 75: 15), (34: 1: 15), (33,75: 1,25: 15), dan (33,5: 1,5: 15). Karakterisasi bioplastik dilakukan dengan tes Tensile Strength, Elongation pada break test, Modulus young test, dan biodegradation test. Diharapkan bioplastik yang dihasilkan dapat menjadi bioplastik yang sesuai dengan standar.

Abstract

Rambut merupakan salah satu bagian tubuh yang cukup penting. Rambut berfungsi memberi kehangatan pada kepala, melindungi kulit kepala dan menambah keindahan pada tubuh. Salah satu perawatan rambut yang paling banyak digunakan adalah shampoo. Pemilihan shampoo yang tepat didasari oleh kondisi rambut dan kulit kepala. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan uji terkait bahan aktif berupa climbazole dan Piroctone Olamine. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahan aktif seperti Climbazole dan Piroctone Olamine dapat membantu menghilangkan ketombe pada kulit kepala dan sudah dilakukan pengamatan selama 30 hari untuk mengetahui efek yang timbul pada kulit kepala

Abstract

The increase in products from chemicals is currently growing rapidly in the Indonesian manufacturing industry. This correlates with a chemical test laboratory that is experiencing a flurry of activity. The placement of chemicals in testing laboratories still does not have problem-solving that can make it easier to search for other potential dangers. So far, the placement of chemicals is not based on hazard, but only on phase differences, namely solid and liquid phases, as well as materials that are frequently and rarely used can pose a hazard. This study aims to provide knowledge about main hazard control to all employees and propose material hazard handling in environmental laboratory testing following the material MSDS. This research method uses the concept of re-layout chemicals in the laboratory based on the type of danger they cause by collecting data obtained from MSDS, literature review studies, references from books, government regulations, and the Merck China website to see the characteristics of chemicals that will be placed in the material stock storage room. This study found a layout mapping of chemicals in the materials storage room, with 3 storage areas and 2 additional storage areas. The result of this research is that Cabinet A is filled with harmless solid phase materials and a class of toxic substances. The chemicals in cabinet B, consist of solid-phase materials that are corrosive, harmless, irritating, carcinogenic, and highly flammable. Whereas on shelf C letter L it consists of liquid phase materials which are harmless, corrosive, dangerous, flammable, highly flammable, highly flammable, carcinogenic or toxic. Whereas Container D contains chemicals that have oxidizing properties and Cabinet E contains chemicals that are highly flammable in water.

Abstract

Background: Cigarette smoke, fried and grilled foods, excessive exposure to sunlight, motor vehicle fumes, certain drugs, toxins and air pollution are some sources of free radical compounds. As a result of homolytic breakdown, a molecule will break down into free radicals that have unpaired electrons. Electrons need a partner to balance their spin value, so that radical molecules become unstable and easily react with other molecules, forming new radicals. Findings: To prevent or reduce chronic diseases due to free radicals, antioxidants are needed. Antioxidants can slow down or inhibit the oxidation of substances that are easily oxidized even in low concentrations. Antioxidants can neutralize free radicals by donating one proton atom, making free radicals stable and non-reactive. Methods: Extraction is carried out by the maceration method, which is to soak the simplicia with ethanol solvent. This maceration process is carried out for 24 hours, then the solution containing the extract is filtered using filter paper. This maceration process is carried out three times. Conclusion: Ethanol extract of bintangur stem has quite high antioxidant activity, this can be proven by the IC50 value obtained of 3.05 ppm, this value is almost close to the IC50 value of vitamin C, which is 2.9 ppm, and by the appearance of spots in the Thin Layer Chromatography test.

Abstract

Background: Crayons are drawing equipment made from colored wax, charcoal, chalk, or other materials used for writing and coloring. Crayons are used in schools throughout the world because crayons are easy to use, do not make dirty, blunt, non-toxic, and have many colors. Findings: Crayons can be used from children to adults. Wax crayons are usually used by children to draw and color. One popular crayon brand is Crayola. Dragon Fruit Skin (Hylocereus polyrhizus) contains anthocyanin which can be used as a natural coloring agent for decorative preparations and also has antioxidant activity. Methods: Dragon fruit skin (Hylocereus polyrhizus) extraction has been carried out by means of dragon fruit peel extracted using the wet maceration method with 70% ethanol. The extract was then made into 2 crayon formulations with concentrations of 25% and 20%, respectively. The crayon formulation consists of paraffin wax and dragon fruit peel extract. The resulting crayons have a brownish color, and aromatic odor typical of dragon fruit peel extract. Conclusion: The results of the topical test obtained the best formula on the formula with the composition of the dragon fruit peel extract 25% and 75% paraffin wax. Based on the results of the topical test, this crayon can be used. It's just that the color and texture of crayons that are easily brittle and oily make the results of this research experiment not as expected.

Abstract

Background: One of the important components of health is the availability of drugs as part of public health services. This is because drugs are used to save lives, restore or maintain health. The pharmaceutical industry as a drug-producing industry has a strategic role in health service efforts to the community. Findings: Along with increasing education and public awareness of the importance of health, the pharmaceutical industry is required to provide drugs in adequate types and quantities and of good quality. Therefore, public access to drugs including availability and affordability for the entire community must be expanded. Access to drugs, especially essential drugs, is an obligation for the government and health service institutions, both public and private. Methods: Add with mobile phase to the limit mark, then homogenize (Solution S1 0.04 mg/ml). The solution to be tested for stability during the RC A Amlodipine area is stable. Storage is carried out in dark glass bottles and stored in a refrigerator at a temperature of 2-8 °C. Conclusion: This indicates that each new batch analysis can use the RC Amlodipine stock for a period of 4 months with a storage temperature of 2-8 °C. In this study, RC A Amlodipine which was weighed before the study each time the test was carried out was weighed once and made into a stock solution for 4 months. This study also carried out the potential for cost saving because every year 3 bottles are now 1 bottle, which is 96.5%.
