Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in manufacturing guitar musical instruments. One of the processes in making guitars is the process of painting the guitar body which aims to give color to the guitar body and protect the guitar body from damage to external elements. After the painting, the guitar body must be dried at a certain temperature to get a nice and shiny color result. To fulfill these results, a paint dry room is needed to maintain a room temperature of 42.1°C - 42.5°C, but also does not have a heat impact on the outdoor environment. Currently, there is no standard wall material that can be used as a paint dry room wall. This study uses an experimental method to determine the thermal conductivity of gypsum and sandwich panels, then calculates the thermal conductivity and simulates a comparison with the software. The calculation result based on the thermal conductivity formula is that gypsum has a thermal conductivity of 0.059 [W/m°C] and a sandwich panel thermal conductivity of 0.142 [W/m°C]. This proves that gypsum has better insulating properties than sandwich panels. This study found that gypsum walls are more profitable to be used as paint dry room wall materials.

Abstract

The landing gear of the Airbus A330 aircraft uses a green hydraulic system, which is currently still found several leaks which result in a decrease in flight safety because the propulsion force on the landing gear does not function normally so it must use the freefall system when landing. This study analyzes the events that cause leaks of the flexible hose system, swivel valve and pitch trimmer. Flexible hose in Aircraft's Maintenance Manual has no limitations when a rapture occurs, while for swivel and pitch trimmers there are still limitations so that research is more directed towards the causes of leaks in flexible hoses. The hydraulic system leak data was taken in January 2020 – December 2020 with a total of 49 cases of leaking hydraulic system cases in the landing gear area, where flexible hose has a very high leakage rate compared to other cases. To identify the causes of hydraulic system leaks, this study uses ultrasonic internal leak measurement tools and hydraulic fluid analysis methods. Internal leak is used to determine hydraulic flow, while fluid analysis is to determine contamination of hydraulic fluid. In measuring the internal leak, the results are satisfied so that it is known that the flow rate is not the cause of the leak. While in fluid analysis measurements, from 10 registrations there were 5 registrations that obtained particle contamination results. Improvement progress using the PDCA method is expected to reduce the level of risk of leakage in the hydraulic system by making an engineering order (EO).

Abstract

PT XXX merupakan suatu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur kertas dan karton. Converting Plant merupakan salah satu plant yang ada di perusahaan tersebut bergerak di bidang manufaktur carton box atau biasa kita kenal kardus kemasan. Pada plant tersebut terdapat suatu kompresor sentrifugal yang merupakan equipment sangat kritikal karena kompresor tersebut mengalirkan udara bertekanan ke semua mesin produksi yang ada di plant. Kebutuhan produksi yang tinggi pada plant tersebut, kompresor hanya dilakukan perbaikan jika ada kerusakan pada komponen-komponennya tanpa dilakukan analisis lebih lanjut kinerja kompresor sebelum terjadinya penurunan kinerja serta analisis penggunaan energi motor listrik dan penyimpangan penggunaan energi motor listrik. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis penurunan kinerja kompresor dan pemborosan energi motor listrik kompresor berdasarkan parameter-parameter yang ada di kompresor. Nilai efisiensi isentropik terendah ada di angka 0.82 dan 0.83 dengan penggunaan energi listrik sebesar 384.30 kW dan 383.1 kW. Nilai beban operasi tertinggi ada di nilai 86.9% dengan penggunaan energi listrik sebesar 384.30 kW. Nilai beban operasi terendah ada di angka 85% dengan penggunaan energi listrik sebesar 371.67 kW. Nilai optimum penggunaan energi listrik ada pada efisiensi isentropik 0.98-0.99 dan beban operasi 85% - 85.3% yaitu 371.67 - 372.15 kW.

Abstract

Mitra bank sampah Kemuning adalah tim pembuatan kompos takakura yang terdiri dari 10 orang dan tim bank sampah yang memiliki 8 nasabah yang akhirnya bergabung bersama-sama memfokuskan pada kegiatan daur ulang organik. Bank sampah ini memiliki konsep pengelolaan sampah yang bersifat sosial dan kebersamaan. Permasalahan mitra berada pada kegiatan rutin yang hanya sebatas pada penumpulan, penimbangan dan penjualan, tanpa melalui program daur ulang yang dilakukan sendiri atau melakukan suatu inovasi dari limbah sampah anorganik. Padahal jumlah sampah anorganik yang dikumpulkan mencapai berat 100 kg/siklus. Permasalahan kedua adalah pengelolaan bank sampah yang berjalan saat ini masih bersifat manual. Termasuk manajemen pemasaran produk yang hanya dalam lingkup komunitas dan wilayah sekitarnya. Tujuan PKM adalah transfer iptek dan meningkatkan pengetahuan dalam pengolahan sampah plastik menggunakan mesin pencacah plastik dan mesin injeksi plastik, kemudian memasarkannya di marketplace dan media sosial. Metode pemberdayaan yang digunakan adalah melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan, evaluasi dan pendampingan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pelaksanaan PKM adalah pengetahuan teknologi terhadap mesin teknologi tepat guna dan manajemen pemasaran mitra meningkat. Mitra juga dapat memperoleh produk yang bernilai jual lebih yaitu cacahan plastik dan produk daur ulang berupa tatakan/alas gelas.

Abstract

Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) is an environmentally based regional waste treatment system that aims to treat liquid waste so that it can produce waste that meets quality standards. Liquid waste that cannot be treated properly can result in environmental pollution. The research methodology used is a method of observation study by direct observation including the processing process in the ETP plant, the data collected is calculated based on the parameters of liquid waste before and after processing. From the data, there are several days that show that only 80% of waste can be treated on ETP from the total waste sent from the production plant. This has an impact on the quality of TSS (Total Suspended Solid) parameters treated at CAF experiencing outspec of 20.79% of the operational standards of TSS parameters in PT X. Based on the results of research found that CAF (Cavitation Air Flotation) capacity is less maximal when the flowrate of waste to be treated is high so that the treatment capacity in ETP cannot keep up with the amount of waste sent from the production plant. This can cause the level in the accident pond and equalization pond high and eventually result in wastewater overflowing into the environment so from this analysis process is obtained the proposed improvement of the process to improve the performance of IPAL is to add CAF to the pre-treatment process.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to provide training and knowledge to partners in using appropriate technology so that the productivity and efficiency of the Cisoka’s roasted bean craftsmen's activities increases. The method used in this activity is participatory and collaborative methods where partners participate in activities such as socialization and training, operation and maintenance of roasting machines and packaging sealer machines. Abstrak: Tujuan pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pengetahuan kepada mitra dalam penggunaan TTG agar produktivitas dan efisiensi kegiatan pengrajin kacang sangrai Cisoka meningkat. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode parsipatori dan kolaboratif dimana mitra ikut berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan seperti sosialisasi dan pelatihan, pengoperasian dan pemeliharaan mesin sangrai dan mesin sealer kemasan.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a tropical climate, so the content of water vapour in the air is very high, therefore many industrial products are damaged due to high humidity, such as products with hygroscopic material characteristics, for example powder products, medicine tablets, sugar, fertilisers or products with other similar applications. The product will experience clumping so that the resulting product quality is not optimal. On the other hand, high air humidity in a controlled room is certainly very detrimental to the continuity of the production process as well as in clean room applications. Effervescent’s production room at PT Marin Liza Farmasi is an example of a clean room with temperature and RH controlled at 23°C and a water vapour content of 3.47 g/kg with RH less than 20%. If the temperature and water vapour content are not met, production cannot be carried out. The room is positively pressurised with 1177 CFM of fresh air. Damper in pre-cooling is a part that is very influential on the performance of desiccant dehumidifier. Pre-cooling dampers with openings of 10% - 100% openings will affect the value of the bypass factor and air contact factor against the evaporator cooling coil on the pre-cooling AHU, this will also affect the amount of water vapor partial pressure which is influenced by the large temperature coming out of the pre-cooling AHU due to the influence of the evaporator coil temperature. Each damper opening will be tried and analyzed to get the best water vapor content out of the dehumidifier without disturbing the performance of other systems. The damper openings selected for the Effervescent production clean room project at PT Marin Liza Farmasi are the 50% and 60% openings that produce the best dehumidifier performance without interfering with the performance of other systems, which at these openings produce a dehumidifier outlet water vapor content of 1.12 g/kg at the 50% opening with a bypass factor in pre-cooling of 12.26% and 1.2 g/kg at the 60% opening with a bypass factor in pre cooling of 12.90%.
